I'm giving 2 stars because I'm trying to be fair. They are more in the business of selling tires rather than repairing them. You pay $100 for this warranty to fix or replace any tire with a hole in it and when you get a nail, they end up telling you, "oh, yeah - we'll replace that one, but you need to replace the others as well - otherwise it won't be properly balanced and ride properly." Clever. Then you end up leaving there, having just paid $1,200 for 4 new tires and another "warranty." They have good selection (especially if you order ahead), good advice, good prices, and good service. You'll probably find a competitor who beats them on any one of these dimensions, but not all of them together. Best about this location: treats everyone, including women, with respect. Efficient service. Worst about this location: don't always tighten the valve stem caps. Can be rough on rims. Good tires and great service. Went in because I thought I needed my tires balanced.... Vibration on the floor board and in the steering wheel. Was told I needed two new front tires. So went ahead with getting the tires. Left after about an hour and when driving home I noticed the vibration is still there. Not sure what to do about that. I got my car back and the interior was filthy. there was some stuff on the outside of my car too, but it's winter so I'm ignoring that. my repair was completed on time, but had they taken two extra minutes to ensure they didn't get my car covered in stuff I'd be happier. it was also freezing when I was in there today. First time customer and very impressed. I went here because my regular place was closed on Saturday. How do you close on a Saturday? Went there because I need to get a tire on my truck fixed. I had gotten a nail in the tread. I got there early before they opened. I was the first in line. I have driven by this location often and always saw a line of cars waiting for service. I never understood, but now I do. Like I said needed a tire fixed. They took my truck and asked me wait in the waiting area. It took them about 15 minutes. The took the tire off the rim, fixed it properly, remounted the tire, balanced it. Then put the wheel back on my truck. Cleaned all four of the wheels and put wheel shine on them. I know this because I watched the gentleman do the work through the window. They told me my car was ready, I went to pay, they said "no charge, they fix tires for free." WHAT??? I did not buy these tires there. They had not reason to fix it for free but they did. Next time I need tires guess where I am going? read more

However, today, the customer service was above and beyond. I'm not going to go into details, but Jon was so beyond wonderful. We purchased a very nice set of wheels and tires from them a couple months ago. Great price and great service, but that's not why I'm leaving a review. This past weekend I was in a real bind because we were supposed to leave for spring break family vacation and couldn't because our brakes/rotors were shot. We took the vehicle to a brake shop only to realize that we had lost the lug nut key for our wheels. Not to mention we weren't going to be able to get the brakes replaced in time for our trip. I called in to Discount Tire on a Saturday around noon and asked two questions. 1) could they help us with getting a new key? 2) did they know anyone that could help us with the brakes TODAY? They gave us a free replacement key for our lug nuts and then called in a favor with a brake shop. The manager gave me his business card and told me to give it to the manager of the brake shop and that they would have new brakes and rotors put on by 5pm. Turns out they had everything done by 4:30pm and we were still able to leave for our spring break vacation. Fantastic service! We are grateful. read more

This is an outstanding discount tire location. The store appears to handle a high volume of business quite well, a sign on great management. Buying online and setting an appointment will save you a lot of wait time. Upfront pricing for tires is excellent, the the best around, and with 5% discount for military and another 5% just for using their discount tire card, nothing else in this area comes close. Their card also gives no interest financing options with payments...free money! On my last visit, I ordered a set of tires online, set an appointment for installation, then a day later changed my mind on tire brand. No problem, a quick phone call and they changed my order and had my new tires ready to go without even resetting the appointment, no questions asked or questioning my change, they just made it happen. Being a customer of the "J" place loyalty has no value. Had a flat.. they changed their hazard pkg to 3 years....so it was 6 months past and they wanted more, much more to replace. We have spent thousandd of dollars at Discount over The last 20 years. I called and told them I had a slow leak in my tire, they said bring it in. When I got there they said it would be a 2 hour wait. I parked in their lot, took off the low tire and put on the donut. I left the tire, they said they would call in abt 2 hours. I called them 3 hours and they said, it's done We forgot to call you. I asked how long to Get it on? They said 1.5 hours, I had already been tied up 3 plus hours, so I took the tire and started to put it on in their lot. They ran out and stopped me, said I couldn't do it there. I told them I'd done it 4 times before, they refused to let me. He was very rude, I told him that We shop and buy a lot of tires there. He said, hé didn't care, I talked to another counter man and he also was rude. Basically told me they didn't care and I could take my business elsewhere. I'm done with this store, We were driving 60 miles from Nebraska City to do business here. I guess I'll try SAMS Club or some other store. read more

Excellent, fast, professional service. I came in with the intent of buying the cheapest tires I could find despite the fact that my SO had recently told me the next level up, a mere $10 more was a much better tire. When going through the procedure the sale man also mentioned that the Hankooks (the ones that were $10 more per tire) would be night and day better than what I was currently looking at getting. I decided to go with the Hankooks. I really liked the fact that I felt like the sale man was giving me an honest opinion and not just trying to get me to buy more expensive tires. Lord knows they had several in the size I needed that were $30-100 more that he could have tried to sell me. The service was ridiculously fast, 30 minutes in and out. Apparently my lug nuts were in terrible condition. The manager said they could get them back on but they would be really hard for me to get off again if I ever had an issue. I completely believe him. I drive a 1996 Jeep that I have owned for too many years due to sentimental attachment and I don't think the Lug nuts have ever been budged as I have never had a tire issue. I am surprised they came off at all. He gave me a fantastic deal to replace them all and I took him up on it. I'll definitely be back for all my future tire needs while we live in this area.
