After doing our due diligence we discovered that Discount Tire had the best price for our 4 tire replacement job. We chose the Leander location as it is about 10 minutes from home. We did everything online from ordering the tires to scheduling the appointment. Unfortunately, they had to order the tires so we had to reschedule, no biggie. Their messaging App notified us when our tires arrived and provided reminders regarding our Install date. On Install day the App provided us with a completion time and kept us updated regarding the Install progress. Our car was ready for pickup right on time! We really appreciated both the professional service and communication throughout the entire process. Easy peasy start to finish! read more

I normally love this location, but they improperly balanced a brand new set of tires I just purchased from them at 8:36am this morning. I had to pick up my sick kid from school and as soon as I hit 55 mph, the vehicle started shaking like crazy. Luckily, there is another Discount location next to his school so I carefully drove there. They discovered the issue and are working to correct the problem. For the amount of money I had just paid, this put me in a bad mood, but I am glad we caught it before I had to drive to Houston this evening. read more

Very positive experience. All of the Discount team, from those at desk and in bays, were very pleasant, positively interactive with each other, and communicated concisely and well with me. I was in, problem fixed, and then out in about 20 minutes. Very pleasing experience and outcome for me. I typically have a good experience at this location (over several times), but today was the best. read more

My 2022 F-150 had "swollen lug nuts". I had never even heard of such a thing! Daniel was able to remove the old swollen lug nuts and install new one piece lug nuts in about 10 minutes! No charge! I will be using this store from now on. read more

I recently blew out a tire, so needed to grab a new pair. We walked in at 3:30, and while they weren't crazy busy, they did have a good number of customers. We were helped immediately, but given a completion time of after their closing time. We left and called around 4:30 to confirm this time. They updated it to 4:45! My tires are beautiful and look sexy on my truck. If you drive a large truck and get behind me, you'll have tire envy! I recommend this Discount Tire location. read more

I want to start by talking about things I love about this place and then bring up something that should be re-evaluated by employees. First, I am massively grateful that if my tire pressure light comes on, I can come here for a quick easy top off of air and make my car happy again. I appreciate that when I put a bolt in my tire and limped my car in 10 minutes after they closed on a Saturday, they still helped me out with the tire repair. I appreciate that the people who work here are generally friendly and polite. The thing I wish would change here; is that workers shouldn't assume women aren't able to make decisions, about the vehicle, just because their spouse is along. Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to acknowledge women can know and appreciate cars too. read more

I can't say enough great things about Discount Tire in Leander--especially Manny! After unexpectedly running over a piece of metal and shredding my rear tire, I showed up stressed and in a rush. Discount Tire - Before the replacement - Wheel & Rim Repair Near Me - Leander, Texas

TLDR: At best, communication was lacking and at worst, they thought they could pull one over on me as a woman since I didn't speak at all during the drop off! I had a leak in my tire after getting something lodged in it. My tires were under warranty, so I dropped my car off here with my fiancé, who did all the talking. The specialist let us know that it should be able to be patched up and if not, they can replace the tire since warranty is still valid. My fiancé let him know that if it comes to replacing the tire, we'd like both back tires replaced to keep it even, but to keep us updated. Ultimately, the specialist took my contact down and a couple hours later called me to tell me they couldn't fix it and both tires were replaced and my total would be $265.... There was no quote given, no update regarding their inability to patch the tire, just a hefty bill when all my tires were less than a year old and I had paid to have them covered by warranty. They told me I either had to pay or they had to take one of the tires off and put my old one back on. I told them to just put my original tire back on. Then, at pickup, they said "we actually found a nail in your other tire so they're both replaced and covered under warranty"... I looked at the bill and the cost for EACH tire was only $149 and with extra charges around $160. At best, communication was lacking and at worst, they thought they could pull one over on me as a woman since I didn't speak at all during the drop off! read more

Nice people, very friendly, but managed terribly. I've had to cancel two different appointments that I've made in two subsequent days. I had an appointment today at 2:15. I spoke to an individual at Discount Tire when I made this appointment about the need to be in at 2:15 for my appointment so I could leave by 3pm to get my children. The representative I talked to said to get there early... I arrived at 2:05 for my 215 appointment. As there's no "appointment line" I stood in line waiting to be seen for 20 minutes, as were several other people. One man got irritated and left... I was seen at 2:26, then told they wouldn't be able to get to my car and get it finished until 315. If you're going to make appointments, honor, those appointments. Do better. read more

Got to the discount tire when it was pretty empty to get a trailer tire replaced they told me an hour I the time I was there about 10 people came in after I did and they have serviced every other person and got them out the door but not me I waited over 1 hour and a half to have one tire mounted while I saw plenty of the service techs just standing around socializing awful customer service and over priced $250 for a single tire is outrageous and to wait that long it's ridiculous read more

I appreciate everyone who works at this location. They're always very informative, thorough, friendly, and fast too! We've come here for our tires since we moved to the area. We've had a rotation done at our dealership service department and they actually messed it up. Discount tire is fixing that for me. I definitely recommend it other discount tire locations have been great as well.Dylan, Alex and Manny helped me on this visit. Other employees in the past have been great, too. read more

Been using Discount Tire for years. Had a blowout yesterday after hitting a pothole and had to change into the spare off the side of the road. Drove to Discount and they got me right in! Covered the cost of the replacement tire -45 dollars because I purchased the tire a few years ago. Speedy, friendly and affordable--couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

Not safe. Spraying pesticide while people are waiting (in the few chairs and no tables and no coffee provided since 2020)! I ran out of the store, into the 45degree weather to avoid it. Then, the young man came toward me with his canister. I indicated please do not do that and he continued, until I was screaming for him to go away. He thought it was funny. When my car came out, I asked the attendant to tell his boss. He argued to me that some chemicals are safe. I really wondered why he would argue with me, while I was there, nauseated with a headache, about a nervine. I tried to explain that all he had to do was relay my comment to his boss. He thought it was funny. The men who used to work here have been replaced by boys who not only do not know how to behave but are not correctable. Not surprisingly, the work was not completed. Seldom any more do they reset the tire indicator. I called them, but of course this time, no response. I got 2 emails and a call from ??? (in no case was identification of position connected with a name) "to be sure everything was okay." Then, I got a claims representative. I think the boss, like the workers, just wanted to bedevil an older woman. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store in the past few years but won't spend any more. read more

Discount Tire was my go to for decades. Great prices, fast service, friendly employees. Unfortunately, as with all things, they have slid down the hill. Called to inquire about 4 tires for my truck, was quoted an out the door price with tax, hazard, etc, $540 ish. Not bad at all. They book my appointment, tell me to be at the store at a certain time and would have me on my way 1 hour later. Get to the location a few minutes early, check in and told the total is over $100 what was told 1 hour earlier. I inquired as to why, the sales person tells me that he will give me the price on a smaller tire. Whatever. Here I am 30 minutes past the time I was to be out the door and my truck hasn't moved. I've watched walk ins get serviced with no appointment. One guy got immediate service. Lime many places, they have taken to over promising and under delivering. C'est la vie. read more

I didn't want to walk into my garage today to see my tire flat at 5:30pm on my way to the gym after a long day at work. Obviously on my travels I ran over a nail. Dropped off my car to Keaton @Discount Tire in Leander and was treated with compassion, kindness, professionalism and sympathy. My car is brand new and has 2200 miles. Unfortunately this could not be plugged and I needed a new tire due to the location of the damage. Keaton walked me through my options and with the Discount Tire App I could see the progress of my car. I picked my car back up at 6:56pm. The boys were cleaning the lobby and getting ready to go home and I was still received with a warm smile. Excellent Experience. read more

If you let the air out from the tires, is it the fresh air or tired air? There is no accident that a chain has four and a half Stars I wish I could give them 100 Stars so I can get their average up to five stars because they were amazing. So the first thing is they have a notification text that you receive so that you can track the status of your vehicle. Long story short they're tracking was accurate and that is a win, I don't need to tell you anything else, the most important thing is that you can see the timeliness of your transaction. The staff was friendly, the waiting room was clean, they even had stools and a power outlet for me to whip out my laptop and do some work. I have to buy some tires soon for my vehicle and I am coming here hands down. I just stopped in to get some quick work on a tire for my wife's car and they made me a believer, awesome job and I hope everyone finds out about this place. read more

Went in for a car inspection on a 4 year old vehicle. After an hour of waiting was told my car wouldn't pass inspection due to a nail in the tire that couldn't be plugged. Either buy a new tire to get an inspection passed or "here are your keys". I took my keys and went to Costco to find out that my tire was able to be plugged due to a small nail. I also did not need new tires. They tried to get me for $850. Would not recommend on a good day. These people are crooks. read more

I used the online price matching for a set of tires I found at another store, and Discount tires wrote me back and said they match the price. When My tires came in they called and we set up an Appt, otherwise wait times can be an hour or 2 ... I showed up paid, 30 mins later my tires were installed I was out the door !! Thank you - quick and easy !! read more

Disappointed is an understatement. I come in with flat tire, knowing it needed to be replaced. After deciding on doing 2 tires, I requested they put the 2 new ones on the front because it is a front wheel drive car. Originally was told this wouldn't be an issue. I show up an hour later and get told they put 2 new tires on the rear... He told me they wouldn't put the new tires in the front unless I replaced all 4??? My front 2 tires are still over 4/32 in tread so that's crazy! Why put the customer in more danger putting the n tires not on the drive wheels? You'd also figure a shop that specializes in tires would put your spare back properly and maybe air up the tires so my TPMS light isn't on? They also didn't even bother to put one of my hub caps back on. It really takes 2 seconds, it's just pure laziness. I've never been to any other tire shop that is as pathetic as this one. read more

My man Sid, The general manager came through for my family's 2005 Hummer H2 that we've had in our family for 17 years more than words could fathom, wholeheartedly. This gentleman went above and beyond to communicate, comprehend, and even execute an adequate solution to an extremely complicated situation(Completely separate event from this entire experience in which I'm regarding too) I'm truly grateful for the standard of professionalism this gentleman established and more so maintained with myself considering I'm a 26 year old young professional that's driving such a blessing of a vehicle for my age and in all honesty, that's f******* almost unheard of in my personal experiences over all these years with dealing with literally any "maintenance" let alone "labor costs". The service at this place is non existent. On Monday, I had a 3 O'clock appointment I had made on line, but it was almost 3:20 before anyone even offered to assist me. Then the guy spent quite a while explaining what I needed: 2 tires and 4 tire pressure sensors. The bill total came out to $650.00. But they didn't have the sensors to fit my car and had to order them. Said they would be in by today and made me another appointment for 1pm today. I arrived at 1 pm and nobody, again, came to assist me for at least 15 minutes. While I waited, a couple of people who had come before me turned around and left. Finally a guy asks me what I need, and I give him the written information the original salesman gave me and said "When you come in, just hand this to the associate and he'll know what to do - it's already in the computer." So I give him the paper with all the writing on it and he asks "What is this? I told him I was in Monday and they had to order some parts and asked to come back today at 1:00. "Who waited on you?" the guy asks. I don't know his name, he told me to present this paper. "Well, what is it that you want to have done?" he asks. So I calmly told him to just forget about it, and as the other three people before me, I walked out. Too bad, because this used to be my "go to" place for tires for our three cars. But apparently someone new must be running this location and it has really gone down hill. And Discount Tires of Leander, you can go ahead and cancel that $650 work order that's in the computer. I'm glad I didn't pay in advance as I was asked to do! read more
