While passing through the area I ended up picking up a nail in my tire. I wondered into this location and was greeted at the door. I informed the gentleman what I had going on and they immediately took my vehicle into the shop and got to work. They performed a complementary check of all tires and informed me of where I was with tire wear. They weren't pushy and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. We took the car to have two worn tires replaced, but the clerk tried to sell us four tires, confirming that they were all bad and needed replacing, which isn't true. It's true that they're used and not new, but they don't need replacing yet. When it was time to pay, he only gave us a total without explaining what he was charging and assuming we agreed with the fee. When I saw the total price, I asked to review the payment receipt, as he didn't give it to us or show it to us. We realized that without asking, he had charged the warranty certificates at $40 each, thus closing the transaction. A few hours later, we asked him to remove them and refund the money for the certificates, as we hadn't been asked if we wanted them or not. This was in addition to the fact that they gave us an appointment time, and they received the car an hour later and delivered it two hours later. I believe transparency for the customer is the best thing you can offer, and their service isn't cheap. The least they can do is tell you they're going to charge you and ask if you're okay with it, rather than trying to convince you that all your tires are defective just to make a sale. I went to the tire shop to drop off two rims for new tires. I also bought an additional two tires and paid in advance for them to be installed later. My plan was to pick up the first two rims with the new tires, install them on my truck myself, and then bring the truck back to the shop for the other two tires to be installed. Since we only have my wife's car available, I asked her to pick up the first set of rims and tires. However, she came back with just the tires and no rims. Was in Laredo for business and somehow got a nail in my tire. Went to closest discount tire because I have the warranty through them. Let me say that this is THE busiest location I've ever been to. There wasn't even sitting room. It took about 10 minutes for me to be called up and put on "the list." Once on the list, it was about 10-15 before I was called up to see what services I needed. I was given a guaranteed pickup time of 2 hours so I elected to take a Lyft back to the Air BnB. Vehicle ended up being ready for pickup about an hour after I arrived at Air BnB, which was half an hour EARLIER than the guaranteed ready time. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Anyway, they take my car in and come back to tell me they damaged my rims and told me (i'm assuming because i'm a woman) that i must have messed them up on a curb. all i do is go to work in the vehicle same route, same routine, i think i would have noticed if i went over a curb. Mind you!!! they're not even supposed to work on balding or damaged rims. I was running late and had to change my appointment and I arrived on Saturday afternoon during what seemed like a rush. Even though it was busy and there were people everywhere, the customer service was awesome. I called a few days ahead to make sure they had the tires I wanted and then when I arrived a little bit late they processed my purchase. They told me it would be about 1 hour. I went next door to Rudy's and ate and when I came back 30 minutes later I saw my car was already done. Walked in and they got me the keys within 2 minutes and I was out of there. requested a quote for 4 tires for my 2015 jetta. putting only 5k miles a year i requested the 55k mile level. salesman politely try to convince me of a 5th one regular size for the spare stating spares have been known to explode inexplicable when sitting on the trunk for 5 years. of course i didn't buy that and decline! then he push and shove for expensier tires than i initially ask..in the range of 550-590 dlls for 4 tires. just really trying to sell high ends at all costs. sales man was also clueless about putting a 5th regular size tire on the small spare area not considering it would not fit. i told him that i had done my research and walmart had the same level tires for 380 installed. another dude joint the battle and whisper him the next move. the salesman match the price but only after removing the road hazard insurance. I insisted that walmart had it included for the 380 and showed them the printed quote. they re-group with a 3rd soldier on board and only then they offered me a 50 dlls rebate that i needed to filled out online to get down to 380/. long story short i bought the tires and paid for them for convenience since the store is near my office.. after i paid for them and picked up the car i dropped off my truck to get a rear tire repaired since it was slowly loosing pressure. after 3 hrs went to pick it up a guy called juan told me that the tire couldn't get fixed because the plug they install didn't work and couldn't try any further they ended up putting the spare. i ask for the original tire since it wasn't on the truck bed, and juan had to bring it out of the tire dumpster. instead of putting it back on my truck or offering me another tire replacement no options were offered , i took the tire to murillo's tire shop on shilo dr where they fix it asap for 6 bucks and put the spare back in its place. obviously they did not put any effort repairing this tire, Retaliation maybe?for being informe and not accepting their prices / we all have the right to negotiate. i will follow up with the manager as soon as i have the time to address this issue since i just found out the tire had road hazard insurance with them so obviously they fell to check in their compute. negligence on their part big time. hopefully they get a better training out of this review and also learn not to push the costumer well informed any further than what they are ask. last but not least they need to fix tires properly when requested or give options but never to surender like they did.. read more
