Went to discount today they told me that they would do my front end alignment back last summer. I paid for four new the front end alignment didn't tell me my lower control arms were bad so wore my tires out within a month and a I took it back then they finally tell me that my lower control arms were bad I finally could get my lower control arms fixed and come back for the alignment which they told me would be free they're saying it's been too long. You gotta do it within 30 days but never told me that I mean I don't understand. All they do is try and upsell you and their word is means nothing What happened to customer service. I don't know how you guys stay in business What happened to businesses that cares about their customers. read more

I took my car to tire discount on Pennsylvania st today to get a tire fixed that had a nail in the tread. first thing the guy told me I needed 4 new tires.they are 2 years old with about 35000 miles on them.worn but not worn out.still have a lot of tread on them. I said just fix the tire.i left it.when I went back later he said they could not repair it because there was to much damage on the inside of the tire. tire discount is like a lot of tire dealers ripping people off.coming up with any reason to sell tires. had his little tread wear gauge out to say see your tread is bad even when there is a lot of tread left.i will never do business with them again . just no I am telling you stay clear of this place if you don't want the same thing to happen to you read more

Later in the day, I notice my tires were low. Went to the nearest Discount Tire, I was about an hour from home. They were busy. Very busy. But from the moment I arrived, never once felt rushed or like I was bothering them. Even with less than an hour til close and up to 12 cars in front of me. With smiles on their faces, and a joy to their step, they were getting each car in and out as quickly as possible, without taking shortcuts. In this day of COVID, you sit in your car waiting, watching them work. In between cars, they would hustle to get the next car in. Even those like me without an appointment. No bay stayed empty more than 2 minutes as they shuffled cars in and out. This is why I trust and recommend Discount Tire as a whole. Ordered my tires online and when I got to the store he noticed I ordered the wrong ones! *note it was quite busy in the store when he noticed* he quickly got me the right ones that they had in stock and refunded me the money to my card it took less then 10 minutes it was so fast. I sat down in the lobby and I swear 15-20 mins later they called me to let me know it was all done ! It was truly a great experience ! I went to a competitor before for my other two tires and not only were they priced higher it took twice as long and the staff wasn't as nearly as nice. I came back a full half hour before the text came in and they wanted to put me back into the queue to put it back on. These guys are great! I came in about a half hour before close and they were very busy. I informed the gentleman at the front desk that I had noticed a nail in my tire but the tire was holding air and I could come back tomorrow since they were so busy. He asked me to stay and have it done tonight so I wouldn't risk getting stranded with a flat. I don't think I've ever seen a business employee volunteer to stay late just to perform a FREE repair. Ever wonder how Discount can fix your flat for free? The same way time share companies can pay you to sit through their presentations. They just want to give their high pressure salesmen a chance to sell you!. The first thing they will do after looking at your tires is show you a chart that explains how UNSAFE your tires are (unless they are brand new). Then they will make you a great deal (and if you need tires it will be a great deal). I have bought tires there for 40 years, until today. They have taken high pressure to a new level. Today they would not fix my BACK tire because my FRONT tire was worn. It is true my front tire is worn, but I explained they are my winter tires and they will be coming off soon, so I want to buy the replacements if the fall (the car has 250000 miles on it, I want to make sure it is going to make it through the summer before I invest in winter tires). This is not an isolated instance, my nephew took his car in for a flat to be fixed. His tires were new (just put on by the dealer he bought it from) and they would not put it back on the car because t wasn't the factory size, they wanted him to buy new tires. They have gone from a customer service oriented company to worshiping money and the bottom line. They do not care if you really need new tires, they care if they can scare you into buying new tires. read more

One of our fleet vehicles needed new snow tires. An employee spent a fair amount of time comparing prices between various companies and getting quotes. Discount Tire quoted the best price because they offered a rebate. When it came time to pay however, we were told that the rebate ONLY applies if we got a Discount Tire credit card and used that card to then pay for the tires. This wasn't disclosed during the course of several price discussions. When we objected, the employee simply said Sorry, and made it clear they weren't empowered to do anything, and the Manager wasn't available. A clear case of BAIT AND SWITCH. This was the perfect opportunity for them to step up and ensure a dedicated future corporate customer. Instead, they flopped. I am registering a complaint with the BBB and the AG Office. I doubt it will make a difference. However, what WILL make a difference, is that NONE of our fleet vehicles will ever get another Discount Tire. I'm sure their competitors will appreciate my business. read more

I went to this location on a day when nothing was going right. I had just got back from Ann Arbor, when I got out of my car and heard a hissing sound. I found a nail in my back tire. Having to be to work in 30 minutes I ran to discount. The manager was so nice making me laugh and smile on a day when I just wanted to break down and cry. They found not only a nail in my rear drivers side but a screw in the rear passenger. He got my car back within 20 minutes and 20 minutes after that I was on my way to work, with 2 freshly patched tires. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my tire needs. I came in because I noticed a flat just a block or so from their store. They could tell how anxious I was about having all wheel drive and needing to replace all 4 if the one couldn't be fixed. They offered me water or coffee while I waited and came out to excitedly tell me that the tire could be repaired. This was all completely free--they could have said it couldn't have been repaired and tried to get hundreds of dollars from me, but instead they fixed it for free. I am so thankful I didn't need new tires today, and also thankful that I absolutely know where I'll come when I do need them! read more

Just have to say I have a new tire shop. I have always used Discount Tire but this shop is the best. I came in limping on a bad tire and Don the manager took care of me and my daughter. He didn't feel good about me leaving with a 12 year old spare so he put a good used one on for me....no charge...he just wanted us to be safe! Price was fair...problem is i cam in at 1030 am,was told i will be out be 1230... 2pm comes around,no tires. Had to get a family member to pick up my daughter from school because it took so much longer than it should have. Employees appeared to spend waaay too much time chatting with customers, to the point when i was originally in line, it took 25 minutes to help 2 people. Service sucked, period. read more
