Been coming here for tires for nearly 10 years. Always loved the integrity of the place. Was never pressured into buying things I didn't need, respected my budget, and honestly helped pick the best tires for my budget/situation. Never felt like I was being taken advantage of or like they were just trying to make a buck off me. Well back in May 2026 I got 2 new tires as my front tires were bald. My back tires still had plenty of life left. They put my new tires on the back and moved my older tires to the front. I immediately had concerns knowing the front tires were going to wear faster and my biggest regret was not having them switch them back and get the new tires on the front. Took my tires in today for rotation and they refused to rotate and put my more worn front tires on the back and move the newer tires to the front. Ultimately I was manipulated into buying 2 new tires. But when I did, I mentioned I wanted the NEW tires put on the front... and they didn't argue. Because they KNOW the front tires are going to wear faster and know that I've caught onto the game they were playing with me. In this day and age with how expensive everything is and how tight people's budgets are, manipulating people with tires is very dishonest and deceiving. I'm now how several hundred dollars I was unable to afford at the time because of dishonest and scam work. Won't be back after these tires. read more

Bought new tires last year with warranty coverage. Had issues with one tire twice over time. Went to LaPorte Discount Tire location both times, this time they replaced the tire (under warranty) it seamed as if they tried to get away with an old tire, worn out lettering and "x's" all over the tire. Looked like a retread, they said it was new but replaced it again, still not completely satisfied but went along with it. UPDATE: IN RESONSE TO CUSTOMER CARE You responded, but I can't respond on your reply. So here ya go....we pointed out to two of employees, one being a manager how the first replacement looked, he assured me it was new, however as a customer we expect the same quality tire that we received the first time. I'd be embarrassed as an employee or customer to add it to my vehicle. We had 3 really nice tires and then one that looked like it came from a recycle shop. SECOND UPDATE: Manager of the store called me today. Had a lengthy conversation and stated he will look into that particular tire to check it out. I feel better that someone listened to a customers' point of view and will consider going back at another time for follow up service. read more

Discount Tire, is a company the provides tire installation and rotation services, which are designed to improve vehicle safety and performance. Customers are expect to be heard and seen in this establishment. You are able to see a nicely maintained facility and systematic check-in for example on your arrival. The first impression is professional, staff members approach customers and say hello and explain waiting time. The service offers tire mountings, balancing and rotation depending on the customer. One of the main items offered is free air pressures checks, but tire inspections are also included to deliver value that goes beyond the core service. Prices are also competitive as the company is a big tire player. Customers frequently say the price is a statement of the service quality and the coverage for warranty. I can speak for this, their prices beat any of the competitors and I am constantly buying tires for myself and family. read more

Like another user mentioned, this place seems very well managed. It's clean, the employees are very respectful and honest, and they are fast. They are very transparent about services and pricing, and the prices are more than fair. I have never had an issue with them honoring a warranty. We have been coming to this location for years, and we will keep referring other people here. read more

Amazing service! Colby was so kind and Bradlee got the job done in no time. 10/10. Thank y'all

I had my truck lifted and I was wanting to change my rims and tires but was holding on to my old ones for dear life. I like working with my off road place for everything for my truck but they could not get me the price I was wanted to spend for premium tires. I had to go to discount tires to get the tires I wanted for the price I could afford. I came into this location and was meet by Mario. I told him what I wanted for rims and tires and he started contacting them right away to start the process and have them ship. In two weeks everything was in place. I was wanting the biggest tires I could put on but did not know what would fit the best on my truck. Mario was great. He ordered two large sets of tires to match fit my truck and get the best tires on there. Once we found the tires that would fit the best he installed them and send the extra set back. The guys in the bay worked well as a team and they let me be active in seeing what would fit best for my truck. If you're needing service this company and location is the best. When you go in be sure to ask for Mario he was the best and his customer service is unmatched. Thank you Discount tires. You made me a believer. read more

This was a great service stop for me. Ashton, who assisted me was pleasant and friendly. Made it a little easier to get a tire replaced. Highly recommend this location. read more

Discount Tire in La Porte has to be the best location I have ever visited. The employees are so respectful, specially the kid that is always in the air check station. He always has a smile and always makes sure to answer any questions if you have any. Will keep coming to this location. read more

Had a 9:00 appointment for a tire rotation and balance. Although the parking lot was full with a long line of cars for an air check, I was in and out within 30 minutes. Pros: 1. communication - text reminders and updates 2. speed of service - in and out quickly 3. scheduling service - easy to schedule online 4. location - near restaurants 5. parking - enough parking with numbered spots for convenience 6. bathrooms - clean, adequately stocked with seat covers and hygiene products read more

Excellent service. Went in at 3:30 on a Monday and was out of there in less than an hour with 4 new tires. The service representative went over all my options and various advantages of said options. This was very helpful in determining which tire brand was best for my driving needs. Discount Tire would always be my go to for new tires. read more

They will fix your tires! Tires are expensive no matter where you go. So you should come here. It's beneficial because you can get a discount on replacing the tires you get from here. Also, if you get a nail or some other sharp item stuck in your tire, they will fix it for free as long as it is in a fixable area of tire. They're also nice people. read more

I had an appointment and got at this discount(Laporte) dealership 15 minutes early. Check in and Watched four cars pull in and get new tires before my car was pull in. I just needed a tire monitor installed but by the time discount finished I needed two more. My computer on the car said all was working fine, but when discount try to reset my monitors they wouldn't work at all. they knocked out all my information on my screen. Discount said if I put two more monitors in.... even though they're working before discounts started, it would register back on my screen. Looks like the pirate mentality at discount tires. Arrrrr! read more

I had to take my car in today for a tire repair that ultimately had to be replaced. The team was quick and efficient with assisting me. I worked with Corey and Ashton and both were friendly and kind and I had a great experience. read more

Something to keep in mind is that these guys are in the business of selling tires. The free flat repair, balancing, and rotation are only ways to draw you in to sell another set of tires. If you are needing any type of service and roll in on anything other than a fairly new set of tires be prepared to get the sales pitch and also be prepared to be denied the service because your tires are old or some other excuse. Another thing to keep in mind is that an appointment doesn't really mean much. It doesn't put you at the front of the line in your slotted time. You will wait until everyone in front of you is done regardless of whether they had an appointment or not. read more

I had an excellent experience at the Discount Tire in La Porte. A man by the name of Cory Carmona took care of me. He was very knowledgeable. Explained everything clearly without me having to ask. I needed new tires for my truck so I was hesitant because I didn't want to get messed around. I left spending way less $$ than I expected and I'm very confident I have the tires that fit my needs. read more

This location is well managed and there seems to be very little employee turnover. What does this mean for the customer? For starters, the people working on your wheels and tires are more trained and experienced than the average tire store. It also means they are generally happy to be at work, which not only equates to a pleasant experience but also helps to ensure a professional thorough job. When they err (hey, they're human) they own it and fix it. I've bought tires from Discount Tire for several years (they regularly run promotions that can save you some decent cheddar on high quality tire brands -- check them out before you buy); and they have inspected, rotated and repaired tires on our vehicles. These people know what they're doing and I trust their expertise. read more

I so wish I could give this company a good review. Most of the young men that work here are very polite and helpful. My story goes as following... I drove in to have my air pressure checked because my 'horseshoe' light came on. Apparently, one of my tires were low because after filling them the light went out. Two days later the light was on again so I returned and was told I needed two new tires .sooo I purchase two tires. Two days later the light was on again. This time I returned I was told my 'sensor' needed a new watch sized battery as they apparently wear out every two years. I've been driving for 56 years and have never had to replace a sensor battery. When I question this.. the older 'gentleman' got rather testy and condescending as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He offered to 'visually' check my sensor and then told me that 'nope, I now needed a new sensor.. only $69.00 no labor fee. ' He then told me I could get in the 30 minute line to have my tire pressure checked again. Thanks for nothing Discount tire! I'm still driving with my 'horseshoe ' light on. I'm sorry but as my experience, as soon as an elderly woman alone comes into any type on auto repair shop Watch Out! Sad that there''s no integrity in business anymore. read more

Frank the manager is awesome! Every time I come in he makes me feel welcome. He never over talks the sale and is always friendly! I highly recommend this location. read more

Overall, I had a very good experience with this business. I ordered 5 new tires online that were not in stock and scheduled an appointment for installation after they would have arrived. The next day Wayne, the assistant manager, called me with options for as-good-as or better tires that were in stock and at a lower price. He was also able to work my appointment in for that day. The wait time to get my vehicle in a stall was a little longer than promised but once it was there, the installation went quickly. After checking the vehicle, they did use the correct tires and the work was satisfactory. I appreciate Wayne going above-and-beyond to assist me. I would like to add that while I was waiting, I watched the other employees interacting with customers. These associates answered questions, gave details, and acknowledged customers when the arrived; all with smiles and politeness. Maybe this was a good day or maybe it's that way most of the time. Regardless, I will be a return customer. Lest I forget, the parking lot at this particular Discount Tire is much larger than others I have gone to in the past. Definitely a plus. read more

Absolutely no complaints. I had like 2 PSI and came in with no appointment and Brandon was kind, informative and helpful. He got me setup with a new tire within an hour and a half and didn't try to scam me or anything shady. The shop was clean, all of the employees were helpful and working hard. I found my new tire shop for sure. Thanks guys! read more

I ALWAYS go to this location, even though it isn't the closest one. The employees are knowledgable, friendly, and efficient! They really care about their customers and they always go above and beyond. When I got a flat and had to be at Hobby in 30 minutes I explained to them that I just needed a quick fix because they were busy and I couldn't wait. They could have just slapped my donut on or added more air to the tire and sent me on my way, instead they put on a brand new tire for me in record time! They were absolutely amazing!! Another time I was having a problem with a tire and I had gone to another location. I had insurance on the tire, but instead of replacing it they patched it. THREE TIMES in two weeks I returned to that location to have that same tire patched. Finally I drove down to this location, they took one look at my tire and replaced it on the spot. They don't play games here, they look at the problem and they find you a solution immediately! Sidenote- You should always always always buy the warranty on the tires, it's saved my bacon more than once! read more

These guys are amazing, highly skilled, honest, and super nice! I will never go to any other tire store again!

went today for 2 tires at opening very friendly staff got a good deal and when they were inspecting my other tires they found a nail and fixed it for free at no cost they didn't hassle or try to force me to buy another tire which i love because they are not scalping for your money i would recommend this place was in and out in 30 minutes ! read more

At around 5:45, I hit a pothole and had my tire shredded. As a man with a 8-5 job, it's very difficult to find time to get to a repair place on usual hours, and as such I was desperate to get the repair work done that day when I was off. It took me time to get the spare on my car, and I called ahead asking when they closed. Sadly, they sat 6:00. I pleaded if there was any way I could get in, and lo and behold, when I arrived they were all locked up to head home. However, as soon as they saw me, they immediately opened the doors up to see if they could help me- sure enough, at the last second of the day, they opened up their shop to get me situated with a new tire after hours. Always with a professional staff and extremely accommodating to their customers, this is DEFINITELY the best place to go to for tires, and I'll always be coming back. read more

Pulled in line to get my tires aired up, and for some reason the car behind us, who wasn't in the garage, got their tires aired first?!

Quick professional service! I was in and out with a new tire and rotation in less than a half hour...it was a weekday though around 4 pm.

I would like to thank the guys at DT today. My wife had a tire issue and these guys got me taken care of in one day. The tire had to be hot shotted over from another location here in the Houston area but they found one and got it delivered.. I have been buying tires from DT for two (2) decades. read more

Been doing business with discount tire in this area most of my life, this store has been going downhill for a couple years. Tried to charge me an outrageous price, got it taken care of by another local shop for half the price. Will not be doing business with discount again read more

I've been to discount tires in multiple locations and have always had great service. Since we just moved here, we thought we'd go to the closest one. When walking in, i stood at the counter for ten-fifteen minutes before I was acknowledged or helped. The guy standing in front of me was on a call. Once he hung up he asked how could he help. I explained that my tire kept having a low psi after airing it overnight for two days now. He asked what year my vehicle was and I told him we just bought the car, (mind you the paper plates were still on it), the guy asked for my keys, went to look at my car and three minutes later came inside to tell me i had to buy new tires because they were 2011 and couldn't be serviced. It's a brand new car, the tires are not from 2011, in fact you can even look at the tires and they're new. He must've thought I was stupid because I'm a girl. However, I know more about cars, my tires, etc than this guy! I asked the guy if there was a nail or something in the tire that was making it air out to which he replied "I didn't see anything, I didn't check for that!" This guy just wanted to sell me a new tire, not actually service the customer. So I came in telling you that air is leaking out and you don't go check if it needs to be patched up or what the issue is? I walked out. Never again will I go to the La Porte location. read more

Discount Tire offers free Air Check and I had a slow leak in one of my tires and all I have to do is pull in and they check all my tires. No muss, no fuss. They are so friendly and helpful... no questions asked (I went in about once a week until I had time to go to where I had bought my tires that were under warranty). All future tire purchases will go back to Discount Tire because of their customer service which is top notch. Has been for years. Highly recommend read more

Do not take your tires here if you have any value for your safety. I took my daughter's car here for a routine rotate and balance and repair of a tire with a nail at 3:15 pm on a Thursday. She was headed back to college 4 hours away the next day, so I wanted to make sure the tires were in good shape, which my mechanic husband said they were, I just wanted to be sure. I received a call at about 3:40 that the car was done, which was surprising, considering they were quite busy. We picked up the car and headed downtown on errands. I notice the car was a bit harder to steer after we get downtown, but don't see anything obviously amiss with the tires. On our way back from Houston around 7:30 pm, we notice the front driver side tire is making a lot of noise when it hits bumps on 225. We continue on, as my rule is to never stop on the freeway for a tire issue unless absolutely necessary. We continue home, pull into the drive, and see that the tire is completely flat. The Lord must have watched over us and allowed us to get home on this tire--the two bubbles on the inside were huge, as my husband discovered. A thorough inspection revealed that not only were the wheels scuffed excessively where there had been no scrapes before our Discount Tire rip-off session, but the tire had not been inflated after what seemed to be a repair. We drove out of this rediculous tire store on a flat tire! Also, they did not even rotate all of the tires as the man said they did, as my husband could tell one tire had not even been taken off the car (having just inspected them himself a few days ago). I can only think what might have happened if my daughter had driven straight back up to school, alone, on that ruined tire. I will NEVER trust these incompetent buffoons ever again, and I urge customers to WATCH THESE PEOPLE CLOSELY when they work on your car. Or better yet, go to Costco as I will today to replace all 4 tires, as I sure as hell can't trust the remaining tires after what these idiots did to her car. It's not even worth contacting them for some kind of resolution, as I would NEVER TRUST THEIR WORK AGAIN and my daughter's safety is more valuable than whatever these incompetent shade-tree mechanics could offer. I'll just let future potential customers know what kind of service they may receive here, and trust my husband's judgment over two-bit tire jockeys from now on. read more

Quick and excellent service the people are very friendly and the prices are decent. I take all my cars here and will continue to.

I actually reside in North Carolina, but I had an excellent experience with this location in La Porte, Texas. What an amazing crew! I have to give a huge kudos to JUSTIN! I can't thank him enough for being such a huge help with my situation. I came in at closing time, literally the store was closed systems shut down and all, however he sensed my franticness and did not even hesitate to turn everything back on and assist me with a smile and a very friendly nature. I never sensed that he felt put out or frustrated with me, he was very professional and I felt as though he treated me like family. They did not have my tire in stock that day so again Justin took it to the next level. He took the time to check my spare as well as my other tires to ensure my safety on the road, ordered my tires to be available the next day and all after normal business hours! I explained that my drive from work is very far, Justin then offered to stay late the next day to be available to put my new tires on! I left today feeling as though I was completely taken care of with an elite company! This has earned my business for me and my entire household, I will never buy tires anywhere else. This entire store was amazing and I can't thank them enough. I know there were other employees assisting Justin however he stood out to me as a leader and a great employee, Discount Tire has one outstanding employee in this young man. He was very humble in giving credit to his manager for always pushing him to do better and move up which has made a big impact on him. This company is doing something right! read more

Best, absolute best location ever! We've been here numerous times, with every vehicle we've had for the last 10 years at least, though we've used Discount Tire for much longer. The managers and employees at this location are always friendly, and as a woman, I've never felt uncomfortable taking my cars in without my husband, as in so many other places. My husband took our oldest daughter in this evening - as a single mom, she is on a very limited budget, and she was planning on replacing only 2 tires on her car for now. One of the employees (Robert Green), examined her tires and agreed with her dad that none of her tires were safe for her to be driving on. He was able to find her two used tires (they look new to me!), and he gave them to her with her two tires that she purchased. Typical of this company, and this location - going above and beyond all expectations for their customer's safety and satisfaction. read more

I have been doing business with Discount Tire for years & have never had a bad experience. Yesterday I took one of their tires because it ws flat & had glass in it. My service man told me it could not be fixed. He told me they would put another tire on it. I asked how much it would cost because I am retired & very limited on funds & he said it would only be about $8.00. I was shocked & happy. Love those guys. read more
