Taylor was instrumental in coordinating with the Panama City Discount Tire to resolve my two tire mishap while vacationing. This allowed my wife and I to enjoy more of our time vacationing and not dealing with a tire issue. The details of this transaction is that the DT in PC could not find the two tires necessary to make my set whole. PC DT recommended that I call the online DT who could not find the tires I needed. I'm unfamiliar with the Gainesville area, and while I was driving around I felt my car feel wobbly, I pulled to the side of the road and I noticed I had a flat tire, with my knowledge I knew how to take care of situation like this but what made my day even better was they understood my situation and quickly brought me in with no appointment needed. Once again Ramon and his crew stepped up beyond the call of duty. I needed a single tire to match a set of Goodyear tires on my Jeep. No one enjoys sitting and waiting, it's right up there with unplanned dentistry. However, these folks treat you right! I was immediately greeted upon arrival. Free rotation since I purchased my tires from them at Christmas (or my father-in-law did). Sunny room to sit in and read while my car, Penny, was treated right. Customer service at its best! I'll be back in 10,000 miles! CORRECTION: Ok, I was actually back within ten minutes after retrieving a new boot for my first drivers' side tire which they could not install because they didn't have the right tool YET they could remove it? Interesting, right? I drive home, assured I was safe, at a snail's pace since my car was shaking. After going to The Tire Barn, I was informed they stripped the bolt and then did not set my tire correctly which could have been "unsafe driving conditions" according to my new tire friends. I would have given Ramon a ten but you limited me to five!!! Ramon went above a beyond to take care of me and my car during a very stressful situation. This review is long overdue. We live in the Atlanta area but were spending a long weekend in Cashier, NC. On my drive up to Cashier, I had to serve off of the road to avoid a car that had strayed over the center line. While trying to pull back onto the road, I tore a hole in the inside side wall of the tire. This happened late on a Friday afternoon. I tried to find a service station or tire store that might be able us to help us but without a success. The next morning (Saturday), I tried to find any tire store that might have a tire (245 45 R18), again without success. In searching for the nearest Discount Tire Store we found the Gainesville, Ga. I called the store and talked with Ramon. He found a used tire that we could mount on the car, allow us to finish our long weekend and replace once we returned to Atlanta. When we got to the store, Ramon was ready and waiting with the used tire, and when he found we had the road hazard warranty he, got us in immediately, mounted and balanced the new tire and sent us on our way without charging. These days it's easy to be cynical and accept mediocre service. Nick, Ramon and the entire Gainesville Discount Tire staff have made me believe that excellent service is alive and well at their store. I have had tires replaced here on two occasions. These guys are fast. The staff here doesn't loaf around in the shop. It's not uncommon to see them running and jumping around. Even when they are busy I've never had a wait more than an hour. These guys multitask very well. No wasted effort or sitting around waiting. The prices here are competitive. I hear they price match, but I haven't had to have that done! Their prices have always been the best on my vehicles (one SUV and one sedan). These guys only do tires, so you don't have to worry about them hassling you for an alignment or new brakes, etc. they will let you know if your tires were not evenly worn and suggest you get it looked at if needed. read more

I bought my tires with Discount tire and bought the additional warranty that the employee advised to purchase for an additional $100. When I came by to do a routine inspection of my tires they told me I had to make an appointment so I did even though I just needed my tires check for a leak. Today I showed up and another excuse was given to me as to why I had to wait even though I made my appointment. I told the employee Joel that all I needed was my tires checked for a leak and he said I was 10 minutes late so he couldn't do it anymore. I seriously would have junk about doing business with discount tire because as long as you're not buying anything they forget all about the warranty you purchased and would not honor it.
