Dealer recommended different repair which fixed problem. If I had proceeded with repair recommended by DT would have cost me almost $2000 and still would not have fixed problem. ------------------------------------------- Pros: Staff generally pleasant and shop seems clean. They have plenty of room in the yard to park. Communicated well to me the estimate. They have large bays that should accommodate most vehicles including heavy or large v Cons: Inspection and evaluation took a few days longer than estimated. Price quoted for repair was $100 more than dealership quote for same service. When I declined repair they charged me with $180 diagnostic fee that included $5 in parts I do not think were provided. I think shops deserve to be compensated for their time, including diagnosis. I just think $180 is excessive for diagnosis that did not require disassembly only test drive and inspection.

Prices have gone up considerably and things seemed a little sketchy in explanations. What used to have the good old boys feel now has the "any other garage" feel. Our only vehicle completely broke down with what appeared to be transmission. It was towed to Lord's. My husband called and asked could they just look and see if it was going to be a cheap fix or was this it for our vehicle. They said it would be over a week before they could even look at it. They had just serviced the vehicle to the tune of $500 3 weeks prior. Time for a new auto repairman.

I loved visiting Kimbrell's Used Auto Parts! Definitely a hidden gem among used auto part yards. I…read moreknow a few mechanics and they told me they had never heard of Kimbrell's. Well when my man and I headed over here after calling them first to confirm that they had the part we were looking for, we instantly felt at home here! They have TONS of cars just sitting around and most of them were still mostly together with most parts still available. This is like a salvage yard full of vehicles that have been junked and you can go find the part you need out of the vehicle you need it from. The prices are good! Got a new AC compressor for the low price of $60 and with a warranty too. So if it stops working you can bring it back no questions asked. I would definitely recommend this place for original used auto parts. The lady at the front desk was a little grumpy and wasn't extremely helpful, that's why I saw 4 instead of 5 stars. And you can't buy an entire vehicle here, you can only buy parts and that's it. But still you gotta check this place out !
