This location is pretty bad. I made a reservation for 2pm and by 3:30pm I had given up hope on seeing my vehicle enter the shop. Why do appointments if you can't honor them. I took a half day off work (which cost me time and money) only to have to do it again cause they can't get appointments figured out. The most frustrating part is watching people come and go with no appointment(s). I had 4 Michelins put on a year ago on my other car and had zero problems. Not sure who's running the show now but I'll be getting 4 new tires elsewhere. So frustrated! Put the wrong tires on my wife's car, didn't notice until we came to get the front ones because they started making a noise. Took it to them first to try and figure out what the issue was since it started with their maintenance, they said they didn't find anything and so we took it to Firestone and spent around two grand to find out that they just gave us the wrong type of tire. And they still wanted us to pay $300 out-of-pocket for four of the correct tires. Went in for a road hazard replacement and they no longer carry or manufacture Pathfinders in my size they sold me. They want me to up charge me for a different tire and or replace all so they can match. Discount used to be great. They now only care about corporate greed and no longer care for their customers. Came in for a tire replacement under warranty. Gave them my number and I was told that the tires did not came up and needed the original receipt. Once I found the receipt they some how found the tires under my number and agreed to replace it. Dropped off the vehicle and then I get a call that unfortunately the tire was not in stock and was going to take 2 weeks to come in. Two weeks pass by and nothing. I show up to the store and the tire was there. I make an appointment for next day since they could not take the truck in and when I show up the next day for my appointment I was told no appointment was made. Horrible service. Beware of Discount Tire on Hondo Pass!!! I went to Discount Tire on Hondo Pass on May 18, 2020, to get four new tires four my Titan since I was informed by my mechanic they needed to be replaced. After my tires were put on, I took my truck to Express Lube to get my inspection done. Express Lube told me the Lug Nut was missing, and this was unsafe. I called Discount Tire regarding the missing Lug Nut, and I was told it was dangerous to drive. Louie state's it's not hazardous to drive with a Lug Nut missing. They agreed to bring a Lug Nut. When Louie came, he looked at the screw and said it was stripped. He said he saw the Nut was missing however he didn't mention it before they took my truck or after I picked it up. I firmly believe they stripped the screw, trying to take it off and didn't tell me. I also told Louie I wanted the original metal-air caps to be put back on. They kept them and put plastic caps on the truck. Do not get your tires from Discount Tires. They will steal your items and break pieces to your tire and not notify you. Ordered from Discount as tires would come in less time than Sams and they price-matched Sams. Called yesterday to check if tires came in and they had, so made an appt for today at 11am, explaining to the man who helped me that I take care of my mom and would be leaving her alone so needed it to be as quick as possible. He said it would be done in an hour. I asked are you certain and he said yes. Got here today and had to wait 15 mins in line even with my appt then explained again about my mom and showed them a live camera showing her in her recliner (she can't walk or I would never have left her alone) and they said no later than 12:05. I walked to Walmart to shop and got back by 12:00 only to see my car hadn't been moved!! I spoke to Chuck the Mgr and he apologized that they had so many appts and got behind and they would do it right away. I showed him the live camera with my mom and all he could do was apologize and tell me 20 mins., which was actually over 45 mins. ago. Never buying tires here again as they can't be honest about time necessary - would have waited the extra week for Sams if my mom didn't have dr appts this week. Poor customer service. Don't schedule so many at once and don't lie about delivery time, especially when you know you're swamped and behind. Poor management and poor communication. Took my car in for a flat, they couldn't patch it because it had too much damage. They took my car out of the bay and made me wait again just so they could replace the tire. Took my truck for a drop kit and they ended up convincing me to put wheel. Big mistake, they had my truck for 2 days. Tires wouldn't fit so I asked to cancel the wheels and they were still trying to charge me over 1000$. A wheel bearing cover was missing, 2 of my side steps were broke. No alignment was done to it and it feels terrible driving i. I asked them to give me a discount at least and refused. So now I'm stuck having to fix my truck and lost 920 dollars. Called around. This place had the tire size I needed. It was extremely busy, and they didn't have enough people working in the front, super long line. After paying for my tire my estimated completion time was coming up. I even took time to go get food. When I got back, another long line, I went straight to the front and just asked if I could pick up my tire. It was ready, but they don't have any system in place to help customers with pick ups, just wait in the long line. After loading my tire, I noticed it was not rated for highway. They got the right size, but the wrong tire. This is the second time I've had an issue with this particular store. Some months back, they said they had the tire size I needed, and I drove all the way over to pick it up, and it ended up being the wrong size. Either way, this time, I am now waiting for them to put the proper rated tire on my rim. What a complete waste of 2 and a half hours. They need to do better, because all this did was solidify why I don't go to this store. I would have went somewhere else, but they are the only ones that had this size, and somehow managed to screw it up. read more

My tire was about to pop, it was 4 pm and firestone guy said they had a long line (Lies, they had plenty personnel and like 5 cars), so they would not get to it that day. other places said the same thing. I called to this place and drove super slow, got there at around 5:10 and they still took care of my car! Visited the store today and was immediately greeted by Charles Smith. Before I said anything, he had already checked my vehicle in. The staff were ready to greet customers upon the doors opening. I had an issue with cross-threaded broken studs after a tire rotation at this location. The manager Alan was very helpful, I had my vehicle at another location for the repair and he offered to cover the labor for the repairs. I found this to be excellent customer service. I sure hope the technicians manually thread the lugs in the future before using the impact wrench. I had a nail in my tire and arrived before 10am, visibly seeing the place pretty busy. I called the number to this shop on google while waiting in the parking lot and informed them that I am a mother with two toddlers by myself and that I'm in no rush but need some help. Someone came out to me, took down my information and inspected the tire. It just needed to be patched which I know takes about 20 minutes. The fact that the worker came out to me & discussed what needed to be done was incredible to do, I think his name was josh. He was very kind and patient because I had no idea where the nail was. He told me to come back in 2.5 and that the car would be assessed and completed shortly after I arrived, maybe on the 3rd hour. I appreciated the information. Left, grocery shopped, dropped off groceries at my house and came back in the time frame I was told. I waited for 1.5 hours before anyone even spoke to me. I asked multiple guys working here if I need to wait in line, or do I wait to speak to the previous person that helped me. Every person looked at me like I was bothering them and they just passed me off. People were coming in for the same reason as me, getting their vehicles in and out while I waited outside with my toddlers in the car to be spoken to. Each employee in the office is on their own time here, nobody communicates to each other or the customers. They are obligated to come to work and by the looks on their faces, don't seem to like their job very much. Which is sad because discount tire is a great store. I show up to see the donut still on my car and the other 3 original tires.... when I get inside they call and the tires are still on their way..... about an hour later I get a call that it's ready - show up, pay, and leave to later discover my donut is not properly affixed in my trunk and my Jack is now missing..... I generally like my experiences with discount tire and have been using them for years - this location has some issues that need to be reviewed with corporate! read more

Martin tire on Hondo Pass is so bad. My sister took her flat tire to have it either repaired or patched. We got there at 1:15pm on 7/15/22 The attendant gave her a time to come for it at 4:45pm that same afternoon and it would be ready for her to pick up. We waited all that time and it was 5:00pm, she asked if the tire was ready. He said it would be another 2 hrs but they close @6pm So she would have to come at 7:am the next day to stand in line and put her name on the list again so they can service her tire. BULL SHIT if her tire has been there since 1:45 why would she have to go stand in line and start all over again. Fix the damn tire when you close and when the store opens its done!! Or the attendant should have been honest and said "mam we go by appt. only it won't be ready till tomorrow and give an x time. I'm so glad I don't live in this damn town and if anything happens while I'm visiting I surely won't be going to Martin Tire!!! They need to have 1 open garage where they service people who go in walk thru. Most people come when a tire happens to get flat unexpectedly. So they only have garages for appts. only?? Shame bad ugly service!!! If I could give it half a star I would. Bad thing is my sister let's people walk all over her. Tomorrow won't be a good day if it's not ready when it opens.
