Most locations are busy and if you walkin without an appointment, plan on waiting! I had appts for both my cars for rotation/balance and a screw in one tire. The wait was less than 20 mins. The crew teams up on the rotation/balance with a guy on both sides, so it gets done quick. Walking in, the employees are friendly and dont pressure any upselling. They are honest at this location. Went to Discount for a tire repair on tires I bought from them. Fast service, only took an hour, however they over inflated all the tires. Tires are rated for 65psi, which it says right on the sidewall. They put 80 psi in them, and all tires were inflated to a different pressure. I was a little unimpressed. read more

I had a flat tire this morning and had to put a spare on. I immediately went to discount tire at around 12 and was helped very fast without an appointment. They were able to look at my tire and tell me about my tread and wear. I ended up getting 4 new tires which was definitely pricey but about the same price as Costco. I've been to this location several times to have tires installed. They always do a great job. I had an appointment this morning and was in and out in 45 minutes. They don't stock my tire size so I order them online and have them shipped to the store. They usually are at the store the next day. I've never had a problem with lug nuts not being torqued or tires pressure not being set here like I've heard happening at other tires shops. Also, the prices they charge are reasonable for mounting and balancing and tire disposal. I will definitely keep coming back to this location. read more

Carlos is outstanding! The rest of the crew is awesome too! I was losing air out of one of my tires it appeared. I saw that lovely air message on my dash so I thought I need to go right away to get air in my tires and have them serviced and looked at. That is when I encountered Carlos at the Rancho San Diego Discount Tire Shop. As he was proceeding to put air in my tires, he observed a screw in one of my tires and mentioned that was why I was losing air. He advised me to fix it right away (it was fixable and I did not need to buy another tire) so I could save my tire. At least that was good news to hear! I was not in the mood to wait for this to do it and not prepared to hear this information, but I was happy to hear the truth about my tire. It is better to be safe than sorry. So, I thought I may as well go inside and get my tire fixed. Carlos took charge and made me a priority! It did not look that busy also so it was meant to be for my tire to have been fixed today! I waited about 30 minutes total! What an awesome experience! These guys work hard physically to keep our cars on the road! Go thank a Tire Choice Guy today! They deserve it! Have been a customer for many years. I don't know what's going on with this location but suffice it to say the employees are either clueless or lying. They will lie to you about the measurements on your tires to get you to buy new tires when you don't need them. Do yourself a favor and get a $6 gauge and check what they are telling you. They also told me I would get 5% back for using the discount tire synchrony card. But when you call about it you get a bunch of people who don't know what you are talking about, nor do they know what they are doing. So that's probably not going to happen. Wonderful customer service from the time I called & spoke to someone to schedule but I forgot his name but he was awesome to the purchase of 4 new tires for a glk by Angel. I got here at 5:58p and he was waiting outside with a SMILE!! As I pulled up he approached my vehicle and asked if I just called and I said yes. He got to work right away. No complaints. He found a screw, and per our conversation he knew I got my tires from here. This man just took my tire off and started working on it. It's 6:03p and this man is working on my tire with the friendliest demeanor. I've have a rough couple of days and THIS made my heart SMILE! Bought a set of six tires for my Ram dually and after they were mounted I drove to Lowes to shop. When I came out of the store my right front tire was flat and the right rear was 45 lbs (20 lbs low). Called the store and they came out took the front tire off and I waited for them to have the tire filled and mounted again (valve stem not seated). The tech then told me to drive to the store and have the other tire filled properly. I told them when I got to the store that it doesn't seem like the wheels are properly balanced. They air up the tire and told me the balance was good. I took it back a few days later and told them the balance is still not right. They balanced again and I asked if they found anything wrong with the ballance. They didn't know and told me to just drive and check it out. A couple of weeks later on June 10 I called to talk the manage. He was off so I spoke to the assistant manager and gave him the history. He said they would just order 6 more tires. They mounted them on June 12 and the balance is fine, but the air pressure is about 20 lbs off between the tires after driving about 20 min (see photo). The store really needs to work on their quality. I have bought several sets of tires from this store for years and this is the first time I have has a problem (4 trips to fix this set). read more

I have four cars and the Discount Tire credit Card, so I bring all of my cars here. Now, this is the second time that they have done sloppy work because they are so busy that they slam dunk through the work. 1. I brought in my Toyota Tacoma in with the spare tire on and the flat on the bed. I paid for a set of new tires to replace the original ones in my Truck. Now I have a truck bed tonneau cover where you have to close the tailgate first and then close the cover. Well, the tech who ever he was slammed the hell out of the tailgate and damaged both the tailgate and the cover. I was upset but didn't say anything. Left and halfway down the street my spare fell out and flew over the freeway bridge hitting god knows what. Came back and was promised a replacement which I had to call every couple of weeks and it took 3 months to get the replacement. 2. Recently I had a flat on a set of tires I bought here and was told I needed new tires which I was kind of expecting. I said sure and bought a set and asked to please put the spare back in the trunk. When I got home I noticed that everything was just thrown together under the mat in the trunk. The spare was crooked, the jack was sideways and the lift tool was just thrown in causing the cover to lift off at a wonky angle. I had to fix it when I got home. Look if you guys don't want to do it just say so and I will take care of it myself or go down the street to Evans Tire. It's the little things and touches that earn my business. I love the free air checks, tire rotations, and friendly staff but saving a couple of bucks on shotty work isn't worth it. Also, I noticed that the receipt of my tires said mileage unknown and I suspect one day when I need warranty it is going to be an issue. read more

I was very impressed to have an attendant meet me at my car door as soon as I pulled up ! Makes the process a little easier when you show up with your toddler . You get text messages on the process of your visit and estimate wait time . My wait time was an hour for a tire rotation . But I received a text message maybe 45-50 minutes in that my vehicle was ready ! I was happy the car was ready sooner than expected . And it was free ! The good thing about this location is there is a variety of stores to either window shop or even get your grocery shopping while you wait. Or have a Frappuccino at target while you shop ! read more

I was having warning light come on when driving between PS and SD. Had it checked in Palm Desert, they said no problem, on drive back, sure enough, the warning came on again. Went to this location, talked with Caesar, sure enough two sensors needed replacement, in and out, in 45 mins. Few days later, noticed the hubcaps missing, did I hit something? Ironically, it were the two tires worked on, on opposite sides if the car, front and back, called, spoke with Josh, come in and we'll take care of it. Was serviced by Jose, her ordered the hubcaps. When they were in, they called. To my surprise, they ordered 4, because it was a different style than my orginals, no charge! Wow. Didn't expect that at all. Bravo Discount Tires. I put new tires and wheels on my truck and after 2 weeks the TPMS light came on and would not go out. Took it to originally to another Discount tire. Was told sensor's are fine. Took it to my mechanic, he clear error codes but still no signal. I went to the Ranch store where I have done business with in the past. They had me start my vehicle, he checked sensors, continued with upload to OBD2 port and the light shut off. Other store did not fallow through with complete process. Came in to have a tire replaced with road hazard coverage. Decided to replace two wheels at same time. Had an appointment at 12:45. Showed up at 12:15. Was told no more than and hour. Showed up at 1:45 because I figured I couldn't hold them accountable for me being early so I figured an hour from my actual appointment time and vehicle wasn't even in bay with an estimated finish time of 2:30. Why bother to make an appointment? App showed me as not even having arrived. Not sure what they screwed up but they saw me come in the door and immediately knew they screwed up. Hello all, let me tell you about my experience at Discount Tire in Rancho San Diego. So I received my wheels in the mail and I head over to this location to buy some tires and have them installed, nothing out of the norm you know? So I talk to Brandon M at the desk and he's very communicative about what I need for my vehicle tire wise with my TPMS being dead and needing new lug nuts for my new set of wheels. Now, I'm giving this place a 2 star because of the encounter but the rest of the stay was a big waste of time. I gave Brandon the keys to my car and it took a while for my car to be pulled into a garage bay(it wasn't very busy) but I guess other Tesla's or what not had priority of my car maybe as a walk-in customer? I was waiting a while but the app did tell me the car would be done by 345pm. It was a little after 345pm and I see one of the technicians come in and look very puzzled asking Brandon to go see what the issue was. After Brandon goes and checks it out he calls me in the garage bay to see the issue. It was the wheel not clearing the brake caliper at which they were rubbing and being blocked to being completely secured on the car. So I agreed to have them put my stock Lexus wheels back on the vehicle. At this point, Brandon then tells me if my brake calipers were stock cause they are bigger than what he thought they would be. He suggested that I get smaller calipers so that they could clear the new wheels and that was the ONLY advice that I got from them. Its a very expensive option and they did not mention to me that wheel spacers might do the trick and would be way more cost friendly. So I went home with my new wheels and tires back on the car with no other solution other than, 'try and get smaller calipers' which would really burn a hole in someones wallet just to put wheels on. Price of the tires I got were decent and the whole tire installation was almost $1300 already. I was already stressed because I couldnt find any smaller calipers which would still cost me anywhere from $800-$1500 depending on the brand I get and thats excluding labor for the car until one of my mechanically inclined friends mentioned to try wheel spacers which would cost less than $100. I got the wheels put on by TireTech Mobile Tire Service and Jay who does the install did an amazing job. read more
