I have been a decades long Discount Tire store customer and have been pleased with them and recommended them a lot to others. This changed a couple weeks ago. I bought a set of new Michelin tires for my Ford F 150. When I got the truck back, every chrome rim was damaged with black places visible where chrome was missing around the 20 inch rims. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I asked about this, I was told by John, the manager "Yeah, that happens some times with Ford rims.l, it isn't our fault."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really! Discount Tire is the only company that has ever worked on these wheels and nobody said anything about this before they started! I take pride in the appearance of my truck and now all 4 rims are damaged. This was very upsetting to me obviously and asked them to make it right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their response was to say it wasn't their fault and if I wanted to file a claim to take it up with their TPA (Fleet Response).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Which I did. They offered a pittance fee to help compensate for the cost of the $700 each rims. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would have been less upset if someone had mentioned this could happen before doing damage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Long story short, if you are considering tire replacement, don't expect Discount Tire to stand behind their work if they make a mistake or to explain things in advance. Had a blow out this morning and got to discount tire around 830. They have two tires for my car on the way but unfortunately there were some delays that were out of control of discount tire. Due to the wait and without my tires being here yet he went out of his way to make sure my rims were ok prior to pulling my car in. For tune past week the air pressure has been going down in my back tire so I took it to one auto place that tried to rip me off telling me I had a nail in my tire and they couldn't patch it because of where it was and I would have to pay 300 dollars for a new tire. So my husband called Discount tire to get a second option and they said they absolutely can patch it and did a wonderful job doing it. It literally took like 15 minutes and when I asked them how much they told me it was no charge they do patch work for free. This place is amazing!! 3 stars only because the staff is nice. Took our van in a few weeks ago for an appointment we made for a leak. Took a few hours for them to tell us there's noting wrong with the tire. Turns out they looked at the wrong tire. Told them and in 10 mins they found and plugged the leak. Noticed the car was shaking and vibrating. Turns out the steel belt was showing! Scheduled another appointment, took it back, and they said that they could see the dry rot and separation on the tire and that it shouldn't hVe been put back on the car. They gave me a $50 which was nice, but looking at the receipt, it wasn't a $50 discount. They also failed to check me in for my appointment and counted me as a walk in. Then tells me the car is ready and he's bringing it out. I'm still standing here watching them work on my car. read more

I went today for a tire check due to my tire leaking slowly. I have been a customer for years there and have always enjoyed the staff and my experience there, which is why I continued giving them my business. After today I will no longer be a customer for anything new. I will go there for services on the tires I purchased there. I was highly discouraged by the customer service I received today in the store. a lady beside of me told me she had been there twice in the past two weeks and each time she was also treated the way I was treated. I watched as every customer that walked in today was hassled purchase something prior to their vehicle even being looked at...even trying to sell wiper blades. I am very disappointed. read more

We had run to our house and get our jack to take our own tire off and take it to a different shop and bring it back and put it on cause they wouldn't sell us 1 tire. I had heard that Discount Tire had the best prices and just assumed I might need a new tire. The man that helped me was so kind and very personable. I have been using discount tire for the better part of 15 years I have multiple vehicles and tend to go through a lot of tires. My last two visits at this location, including my one today were horrible. The staff is too busy trying to sell you warranties rather than just provide good customer service. Estimated Install times and wait times are much different than actual. I watched six employees in the shop Do four tires on a pick up truck rather than split up and take some of the waiting customers. There is no sense of urgency at this location and unfortunately this will be the last time I use discount tire for any of my tire services. This specific location has given a poor name to the entire company, and the kids behind the counter do not seem to be bothered by it at all they are just there for a paycheck. I put it on my. I had a 145 pm appointment. My car set in the parking lot until 245. Then went into the bay at 315 they ask me to pay. At 345 I had to ask why it was still in the air. I was getting two tires. Not an engine changed or a transmission. Why 2 hrs for an appointment and still not ready. So I sat and watched the Bay Area until it was finished. I figured the tactic out quickly. Fill the bays with cars. Work on all of them at the same time , so not any one particular vehicle is being completed in order. Then have customers pay so the time on receipts say you got out an hour before you really do. Nice shady approach. Could just say. We will have it ready in 4 hrs. And no one waits at the store and gets upset. In other words. HONESTY. Don't set appointments you can't keep and then lie. More importantly. Start a vehicle and finish that vehicle. Why bounce around. I watched. It looked like complete chaos in the garage area. read more

What is the point of making an appointment when they have "miscommunication" and take someone else ahead of you and not get your car back until 40 minutes later?! I checked in and specifically said I have an 11am appointment and my car wasn't taken back until 1140. A guy apologized but once again what is the point of an appointment?! The National business is good, this location not so much. If you happen to be lucky enough to get Brandon, you will be fine. There's a younger guy named Tucker who will also go above and beyond to help. If you get Thomas or god forbid Eddie however, leave. This Eddie guy is a hot mess. He's always miserable and has been an issue for us time and time again. Either telling us he can't rotate our tires 5/32) because the tread is too low (was told otherwise by Mooresville), telling us we should replace tires (when others said they were fine), stating that pressure valves were good (after another business said they were likely damaged after tire install). He's incompetent and this is your warning. Save yourself the gamble and go to Mooresville. We've had luck there, it's just a bit inconvenient to drive all that way. read more

My fiancé and I just walked in and we love it! The workers are very nice and the prices are unbeatable. We just bought a new tire for $60! Only thing is we wish they had a vending machine but there's a gas station probably a minutes walk right next store. The entire time that I was in the store they tried to pressure me to buy the more expensive tire. They kept trying to tell me that the tire that I wanted wasn't as safe. They also lowered their prices on the more expensive tire when I wanted to buy the cheaper tire. They also had a rebate program on the Yokohama tire. I asked if it was instant and they said it was a mail in. They told me that you can do it online and you will get it back quicker. I ended up purchasing the more expensive tire after they reduced them several times. Once I saw the rebate and realized it wasn't and online but mail in rebate is was furious. As a matter of fact it was a Visa card not a check. I give these guys one star because they are liars. Ethics is something that I hold high there is no room for unethical business people.
