Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers - Tires Near Me - Denver, North Carolina

A more appropriate name would be: Mr. Thief! We've been here several times. My wife came back from JUST an oil change and I looked at the invoice. They have a really sketchy looking invoice and even the manager agrees. My main problem was the over 100% mark up on the synthetic oil. 6 qts for $100... its like $45 worth of oil. The manager acts like he doesn't know what the price of oil is and looks at another invoice to see if the prices is right...Then he gives me a customer service number, which I have yet to hear back from because no one answered. We will never be back. I hope that profit was worth losing a lifetime customer and other customers from all of the bad PR on the internet. To others using them make sure you get an estimate up front. Bring your own oil. They also like to put a ton of no charges on the bill to make the rape and pillaging not seem so brutal. So, I have to send my car to a real honest mechanic to make sure they really did those freebies. I hope this helps others avoid getting beat over the head. FJB! read more

They are Terrible. Check your bill. Will charge you for just looking at the problem. Have noticed they are not as busy as before. Very poor customer service and communication with you. Check around, as their prices are above average. Was a great place to go until the new ownership too over a couple years ago. read more

I took my Lexus to Mr Tire in Denver to get two new tires put on. Upon driving home after the tires were installed I noticed that my tire pressure sensor lights were not functioning. I returned to Mr Tire and they told me to that after I've driven around for a couple days, they would function. That did not happen, so I returned to Mr Tire. They only had one technician working and he was on lunch, so I elected to return the next day. After waiting two hours, I was told they tried everything and it still wouldn't work and to make an appointment and bring it back. I did that, and after leaving the car with them for five hours, I was told they still couldn't figure the problem out and that I had to take it to my Lexus dealer to have them fix! I would never had brought my car here had I known this would happen! read more

I had a flat tire right across the street from Mr Tire. I thought I was lucky to be so close to someone who could fix it. In putting the spare on, I saw the hole in the tread of the tire. Second stroke of luck- should be able to be plugged. The tech at the counter was nice when he checked me in. Said someone would look at it and let me know. They came back soon to tell me the hole was in the sidewall of the tire and a plug wasn't possible. But they had a great sale on two tires for $230. I decided to leave and head to my trusted Denver Tire. The tech wasn't happy that I wanted to leave and cautioned me about driving on the donut tire too far. I didn't tell Denver Tire any of this story, and when they checked my tire, they told me it was an easy plug job and shouldn't give me any problems. Total cost $12.50. That was a week ago and I haven't had an issue since. I won't go back to Mr Tire. They obviously saw a woman in need and decided they could take advantage of an easy sale. Convenient or not, I'll drive the extra 6 miles on a donut tire to get to Denver Tire! Oh, and Denver Tire's price on the same two new tires? $170. read more

I have been coming here for a very long time. Mr.Tire is the newest owner/management company and they are continuing to do a great job with us. They have always been considerate and reasonable with me and my husband. We have 3 cars that get serviced here. They are good about telling us what needs to be done and giving us the pricing up front. I'm old school..I like having mechanics that remember me. I love that they are always willing to help me and my family! And yes, when they are busy I have to be patient and considerate too! read more

Tried again out of convenience, same guy Stinton, was even worse to deal with this time. Left again and won't ever go back. There's a guy with a beard who has been very helpful to my wife, but I've never been fortunate to find him when I tried going. read more

I have been bringing my sons cars for past few years to Mr Tire. They are so helpful and will do anything to help you out. The service is always fast. The prices seem to be fair and their work is always done right. I haven't never had a problem. The facility is clean. They have a T.V in waiting area and vending machine also. I would highly recommend them to anyone for all you car and truck needs! read more

I went to mr tire with 2 new tires and they said it would be 50 bucks to mount and balance which I was fine with. I asked about an alignment and was told it would be $75 which I was also fine with. After the work was done I goto pay and was told it would be $166 now if I was quoted 160 from the beginning I would've paid it with no issue but since they lied about the price until I went to pay. For that reason I won't be going back and suggest you take your money elsewhere read more

Would give location a 0 star rating, if Yelp would allow me to. As a former employee and current customer of this location, this location has severe turnover issues, incompetent management and severe attention to detail issues (leaving customers dirty, performing sub par repair work). Came in for a plug but was told it couldn't be plugged and I also needed all new tires. I'll admit the tread was low but it had a little life left on them still but since I was planning on a road trip, I agreed. Wrong move! After waiting there all day the manager, Stinton I believe his name was, tells me that the tires won't be in until Monday! Wow, you took my car knowing you didn't have the tires in stock, kept me up awaiting all day, only to tell me at closing time I'm screwed! I said I would of appreciated knowing this sooner, like 5 hours ago and that I'd just take my car back home and come back. He says, he cannot release my car because the tires are already off the rims. I said, well put them back on and give me my car back. He says it will be $180 to do that. Are you kidding me, thats extortion! Being the zen master that I am, I simply did not let Stintons unprofessional management get to me. I got a ride out of there and came back 3 days later after they finally finished a tire job and paid. He didn't even offer a discount for my 3 day tire job, when I asked him for one, he said they already discounted the tire price. This place is shady and will cost you with the scumbags running the show. I own a business with 5 vans that regularly need tires and Mr. Tire will never reap a penny off me again! I hope your 1 time shearing was worth a lifetime and tens of thousands of more dollars in lost revenue. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Amazing prices and when I called they were super helpful and even told me they'd contact me when it was done tomorrow and allowed me to drop it off early. Looking forward to getting new tires and not paying an arm and a leg! read more

The employees were very helpful and courteous. The prices were very reasonable, especially for an oil change. The lobby was clean with lots of good magazines, TV, water and coffee. read more
