I had to come back and update this review... I have used this place for years, almost exclusively, because I've always been able to trust the staff to do right by us. We had a string of bad luck with DT as a business, though. One location screwed up the battery terminals on my wife's Ford edge, which turned into a massive deal that eventually cost me $500. The manager at that location was a complete @** about the whole thing. Then, this location, my wife goes in and they ran a game on her and up-sold her on tires for her car. I hate coming to places like this because all the sales -ish pushes me out of my comfort zone really quickly and I don't have that "warm" setting other people do, I go from "frosty" to "nuclear" under strain and it's a lot to keep it together; ergo, "I'd just rather not." Anyways, I had an issue with a tire that was slow leaking, and I figured I'd give these guys another chance, because it's been far more good than bad over the years. They really redeemed themselves, without even knowing what had happened previously (they didn't know the review was mine, etc). They got all my tires replaced for a very fair price, then, when my tire pressure light kept going off, I came back because I was concerned it was a sensor... The manager on shift came out and did one of those secret handshake things with my breaks and the ignition, then flippantly said "The sensors needed to be reset, but pull around and I'll check all the pressures myself." Considering the place was packed (standing room only) I was greeted right away, reviewed my purchase, given suggestions and told it will be done in 45 mins and Holy Shit... This has nothing to do with this particular shop but to Discount Tire as a whole. I would not trust this company with your vehicle. I recently had my truck tires balanced and had another tire fixed on my sons truck. My son was driving down the hwy when his friend behind him called and told him to get off the road that his tire was wobbly. Once he pulled over he noticed that all his lug nuts fell off. As for my experience I was just outside of Houston on I 10 when my truck started wobbling as I was trying to get off the hwy my driver side rear wheel came flying off, luckily it went off towards the passenger side and off the hwy or it could have killed someone. I had 8000 dollars worth of damage to my truck and when we got it towed to a shop the guy noticed lug nuts missing on all the rest of the tires on the truck. I filed a claim with discount tire and as you would think they denied any wrong doing which is understandable because lug nuts and tires constantly fall off vehicles even if discount tire recently removed and installed every tire that had missing lug nuts or had fallen off vehicle. Of course it's not their fault. Trust me it's worth a few extra bucks to go to reputable tire shop, it may even save yours or someone else's life. I've used discount tire over 30 years easily spent 35 thousand dollars over that time and that didn't affect their decision 1 bit to help me with just my deductible. That company does not care about their customers all they want is to keep pumping vehicles in and out as fast as they can with no consideration for your safety. My hub was stripped on one of the threads for the lug bolts, which they didn't break, I know for sure, but they gave me a paper to take to a mechanic that says they will pay to have the hub replaced! The guys had all the special lifing tools necessary to do the job right, never touched anything but the wheel, hand torqued all the nuts, and did a flawless job. I purchased 4 new tires for around $1200, from the Conroe location. My problem was that soon after that purchase, the passenger side front tire wouldn't hold the appropriate air. There was a slow leak. Since the tires were less than a couple months old, they were under warranty, I requested a new tire. 3 hours later, I asked where I was on the list for repairs. The tech that did my car, didn't sign off on it, there was no way to know if it had been repaired. 30 more minutes later, and the inside rep found the tech, he removed a nail and patched my tire. No new tire, even though it was brand new, expensive and under warranty. They were busy, and disorganized. I wasn't the only customer that hit a snag. I could hear other customers voicing their displeasure. And this is worth noting...it is a tire business! So what is a woman selling her own baked goods doing there? Pressuring customers to buy her baked goods! Is it not enough that I spent over $1,000 on new tires, I have to be approached & pressured to buy bread pudding for $14.50?! What is that?? Last time I checked, the business was called, "Discount Tire", not "Discount Tire & Bread pudding"...."DISCOUNT DISAPPOINTMENT" is more like it. I won't be back! read more

Tired to make an appointment for Monday morning on a the Saturday before. Was told don't worry about a appointment for a tire patch . Since I paid for road hazard . Show up 10 mins before doors are to be open, all the bays are full and line to the door. Call spoke to manager, come to find out all appointments are full for that day. I had a blowout on the highway earlier today and was able to make it to this location on a very old spare. As soon as I walked into the door, I was welcomed with so much kindness. Not only did they find a matching replacement tire for me at the nearest location, but they also did everything in their power to ensure that I was able to safely make it to that location. I haven't seen service like this in a long time and although my blowout was not the most fun experience, I am so glad it happened close to this location!! Great service, very competitive prices. I've purchased three sets of tires from this outlet. They have a great tire guarantee and repair or replace without a hassle. These guys are really good. There just needs to be more of them. They would be a five star store if they were a bit faster. If you get your tires rotated (mind you this is a free service if you purchased your tires here) it will take at least an hour. So plan ahead!
