Think twice before going here for ANYTHING!! I needed a car stereo that could hold my Bluetooth Samsung cell phone, the unit in the Camry was old and, 2009, and kept dropping the signal on trips. So, I thought of staying local and what a . . . . H U G E M I S T A K E !! Picked out the stereo for installation, not bad $500, then asked for a CD player, price jumped to $700, but that was my choice. Then the BS started, I asked about making sure the steering wheel buttons were hooked up to the new unit. That was an extra charge for a module, $150. So the unit was installed. Then I was backing out from the business, and noticed the back up camera wasn't working. So I went back into the store and asked about it, guess what? The rude, get in you face female sales person says, "OH! How am I to know you wanted the back up camera to work, YOU DIDN'T TELL ME! I can't read you mind! Considering the camera worked before, it was already installed, the business didn't offer any insight that the camera would be an issue. That was another module that needed to be hooked up, that was another charge, $150. I went to have that new module installed, and since the unit was coming out AGAIN, I had XM Radio installed, that was another $200. Then the installer couldn't get the backup camera module to work, that was almost 2 hours of waiting. So going home, I attempted to work the steering wheel buttons and now they didn't work! So, I had to go back AGAIN to the shop, and the installer had blown the fuse. When I approached the sales person about it, she "Blew it off" saying, "This is not my fault, something happened, and they found the fuse had to be replaced. So, I had to wait another 7 days to get in another module for the backup camera. When I went back in, it was another hour and thirty minutes to wait for the installer to "Get it Right" this time. I ended up going back to this inept business 5 separate times to finally get the unit(s) installed correctly. My original price range of about $700-800 was blown out of the water. The sales person (a 65 y/o woman) was rude, in your face and about as unprofessional as I have ever been treated considering by the time this was done and over with, I was about $1100+ into this stereo. And do you think I even got a thank you for your business, think again. The most encouraging words I received from the sales female was, "OK, here is your charge, sign here (not even a please)! But, I did get receipts, about 8 of them. Beware of this business, if you have the option to go somewhere else, please do it! Fina who claims to be the owner will not make good on faulty products she installed. She insists on not taking calls and runs off when you walk in. So I decided to get a remote start put on my 2000 Ford F-150. I decided to try out discount stereo even though the place looked super sketchy. I had an Asurion remote start put on for $220 dollars. I went to go pick up the truck and the installation guy showed me how it worked. I paid and left, as I was pulling out of the parking lot my trucks dash lit up with all sorts of lights and there was no power and it sounded like several cylinders were not firing. I drove directly back and gave it back to them and said something was wrong. They guy pulled it back and said that he didn't know what happened but he disconnected the battery and said it seemed normal. I took it and left. A couple weeks later, my truck starts having trouble starting with the remote and by the ignition, so I take it back to them and tell them what is going on and the lady says that the remote start needs to be reprogrammed. She said that it would cost $15. I told them to take care of it. About 15 mins later the installation guy comes back and says he doesn't know what is wrong with it and he starts to blame it on my truck. I tell them that the problems started when I had the remote start installed but they said it wasn't because of the remote start. I asked them if I could simply have a refund but they said they wouldn't and would only offer me store credit (which I didn't want because the service was terrible). I decided to just take the store credit and took my truck directly to the ford dealer. El Centro Motors looked over the truck and figured out that the remote start had fried the computer and that it needed to be replaced, that would cost $1,000! I had the new computer put in and now the truck starts and runs perfectly. I really DO NOT RECCOMEND going here the service is terrible! The people working there know nothing! PLEASE DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! read more
