This place was great and fast and they didn't overcharge for repairing my kids bike tire. I went there twice with small issues on a kids and adult bike and it was the same great treatment t both times. Glad to know they're there. read more

I've been a loyal customer for two decades. Barry and his crew are avid cyclists and have always given me sound advice and attentive service. I've purchased entry level bikes for the kids and high end trail bikes over the years. They take the time to make sure the bike is dialed in to the rider for a perfect "fit" when leaving the shop. Without a doubt the best bike shop in the area! read more

Dirty Harry's Bicycles - My new Stumpy! Thanks DH!!! - Bikes Near Me - Verona, Pennsylvania

Worst customer service. While the turn around time on my bike repair was fast, the owner, Barry's attitude towards me was terrible and the bike service department did a bad job. Dirty's bike service department did not fix the root cause of the problem so while on my next ride, I had serious problems and had to cut my ride short. read more

Well- trick me once shame on THEM...trick me twice shame on me. I let go the bad experience I had with them a few years ago, when I was completely ignored and couldn't get them to answer me or talk to me. Today I called and asked about a bike and the guy on the phone was so rude and seemed so annoyed that I was asking about getting a bike..."all bikes are hard to come by" he snarled. So disappointed, because they do have good bikes and gear. See ya- never! read more

my husband had a mechanical bike problem that could not be fixed at trail side while we were on vacation in pgh. the staff at dirty Harry's liked the challenge since it was a unique problem and they fixed it and our vacation was not ruined thanks to the great staff at the shop. I see reviews saying that dirty Harry's won't work on a bike they didn't sell,, so not true for us . thank you dirty Harry's you'll be getting all of our business when we travel back to the burgh. read more

I was recently at Dirty Harry's to get new tires for my bike. When I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly associate. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She informed me that TREK Bikes took over the business and they are the new business owners. I always had good experiences here and today was no different. They educated me on tires so I would order the correct ones for my needs and match where I usually ride. I ordered my new tires and will be going back to get my bike serviced and get my new tires put on. The sales associate and service department were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them! read more

I've patronized this place twice. Staff totally ignored me on both accounts. Never will I beg to spend my money at an establishment. The customer definitely comes 2nd in this place. I'd never recommend. read more

Yes, this is a convenient bike shop with plenty of bikes to choose from. The accessories are available and if not, they'll order you a part that you want/need. Overall it's a good place to get your bike serviced. Yes, they try to oversell you. They never tell you the price of items, they just say this is what you need . The staff are knowledgeable, but arrogant & condescending. They act like you are bothering them & quiet honestly seem mad that you are in 'their' shop. Not exactly what one would expect from a business. Personality of the staff is highly lacking. I will continue to use Dirty Harrys for hard to get accessories & speciality items, but as far as servicing my bike? No. They always find something you didn't need & they do not ask you about if it's ok first. read more

I've purchased (4) bikes from these guys and a lot of accessories for our family and had some bikes repaired and tuned up. The bikes repaired were not purchased at their store but they fixed them all the same. They are knowledgeable, friendly and forthright about helping find the best product(s) for your ride and have a wealth of maps and information about great places to ride. The owner, Barry, is a great guy all around. They are especially unique in that they update inventory daily so you can actually see what bikes are currently in stock and purchase online. These days, I know no other bike shop that offers that information and convenience. Bike shops like these are important for our community and we are happy to support. read more

They have been rude to me on several occasions for no apparent reason. I was interested in spending 3-4k on a new road bike and they treated me like an idiot. I bought it elsewhere even though it cost me more money. I'd rather pay more with a company that treats me with respect. On another occasion I called to ask if they had product to convert my road to tubeless. They once again treated me like a jerk. I'm due for a MTB upgrade, but I'll never spend a dime with your snob company. I hope you feel so superior without my cash in your pocket. read more

We love Dirty Harry's. They have completed bicycle maintenance for us many times. The staff are very friendly, super knowledgeable, and ready to assist in any way. Obviously, going to a bike shop is going to be more expensive than Amazon or Walmart - but this is one of the hometown businesses I'm more than happy to support. We are looking forward to growing our family bike gear so we can enjoy the hobby together - especially with a shop full of fantastic choices and helpful staff. read more

Dirty Harry's Bicycles - When a cyclist at the Bud Harris Track (who was racing on a Specialized) said "Nice bike, big guy," my son almost died from happiness. - Bikes Near Me - Verona, Pennsylvania

I will never step foot in this place again. I used this shop because I needed a proprietary Trek headset bearing , they are a Trek dealer, and I was in the neighborhood. I knew that the setup on my older road bike headset was unconventional, because a tech from a different shop carefully showed me and even did a little research on it for me - free of charge. (THANK YOU Larry from Performance Bike in East Liberty!). I spoke with the guy at the counter at Dirty Harrys explaining that I needed help with my headset, and that it involved a proprietary part from Trek. He blatantly told me I was wrong and tried to sell me a Headset that he had at the counter. I told him I was uncomfortable with that because of what I had seen in my headset. He was adamant, and in a very unfriendly manner told me I could always go to their service counter, which I did. This guy seemed very condescending. At the service counter, they said it was probably a simple headset change and gave me a price estimate for parts and labor. Unwilling to dispute this - and figuring that they would sort it out once they had the thing apart - I left my bike there. The inevitable phone call came a few hours later - My headset was unconventional and needed a proprietary bearing from Trek! When I picked the bike up, a different guy at the counter said my brake pads were not made for the carbon wheel that I have. I told him they came with the carbon wheels so I am pretty sure that they are made for carbon wheels! Sheesh! I don't expect every person in a bike shop to be a tech expert on every bike made, but I do expect them to be friendly, honest and forthcoming and not to oversell me. That wasn't my experience at Dirty Harrys. read more

Always the best with high quality service!!! Never been disappointed with my bikes purchased!!!!

This is a great bike shop. The staff is very experienced, dedicated, and helpful. They are willing to give you whatever individualized attention you need on whatever level you need it. This is a friendly, local bike shop, and well worth the trip. They are not interested in the quick sale, but in cultivating you as a long term customer. The prices are reasonable for both repairs and for new bikes, I will be bringing my business here! read more

All three staff members I interacted with were condescending and pretentious. Repair shop staff reacted like I requested one of his kidneys when I asked about having a dropper post installed. Another staff member was less than thrilled he had to endure ringing my purchase out. I would not recommend this store to anyone and I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

As someone who bikes 30-60 miles a week on average I have been to a couple bike shops in my life. Dirty Harry's is definitely my favorite. It's not the closest to me but the staff makes it worth the trip. Bicycle shops are never the cheapest way to get gear, but it's the quality and assistance of bike shops that keep them alive. I recently bought a new 700c (Trek Verve 2) and after 50 miles or so I'm happy to report it's been nothing but wonderful. The guy who helped me out was very personable and helped me find the best bike for what I needed it to do. When you buy a bike you get a free tuneup 60 days later (standard but important) and 10% off all bicycle accessories during that time. Again even with that discount a bike shop is never going to be cheaper than Amazon. All in all a great place especially if you're new to biking and just want an expert to guide you in the right direction. read more

They won't work on bikes they didn't sell to you, don't bother asking. They do respond quickly to Facebook Messenger messages though

I don't think there's another bike shop in Pittsburgh that can touch Dirty Harry's. Back in the day, I bought my first mountain bike (Diamond Back Apex) here when they were a bike / dirt bike shop. Since then, it's only gotten better. Why you ask? 1. Knowledge. Without an obnoxious attitude. They know what they are talking about. They've seen everything! 2. Selection. Road / Mountain 26-27.5-29-Fatty / Cyclocross / Touring 3. Random parts. Do you need a Brake Adapter IS or Post 200mm Front CPS Mounting Bracket? Yep, they probably have it. 4. Accessories. Everything you need for racing, touring or commuting 5. They race = R&D 6. They support our local trails. PTAG & PORC 7. Good guys. Barry and the crew will steer you right. read more

Jeff at dirty Harry's is phenomenal! I've been looking for a bike for weeks but have been met with rude people with no customer service. Jeff was extremely kin, thorough, and patient. I left with a great bike and a new bike family for life! read more

I was recommended this place by a coworker to get my GT fixed. The gears weren't cooperating so I showed up with my son and waited patiently for staff to get done with their pointless conversation to be acknowledged. I am not a rude person or I would have said something but after getting my work started I was looking around and my son sat on a bike he really liked and an employee said something obnoxiously about breaking something! Seriously? He wanted my son off the bike and after that I left. I came back to get my bike and after riding it for a few miles realized they didn't even fix it! It was slightly better but still not to my standards. I know it's not a brand new bike but for a place that sells overpriced bicycles should have higher standards than the service I received. I am highly agitated and I will never buy anything from here nor recommend anybody to this place unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. read more

Purchased two bikes so far from Dirty Harrys. Staff is all real cool and helpful with sizing and bike selection. I've never one felt as though they were condescending or rude and never felt pressured to buy something. Bike repairs have been quick. I bought my bike in with a broke derailleur, bent dropouts, and in need of a tune up and left with my bike 45 minutes later. read more

My favorite bike store in Pittsburgh. I live 3 blocks from two other shops, but I often will drive out to DH's just because the guys out there are so cool. Barry, the owner, is an awesome guy. I've bought a cross bike from them and had many small repairs done. They're always fun to talk to. read more

I originally spoke to Scott, went into the store to look at a 3 year old leftover specialized that had been sitting in their showroom for literally years. I Was originally referred to speak to Barry Jeffries the owner from one of their repeat customers, however he was not available. Since their is currently a pandemic the staff felt the need to push that reason on to you as justification for paying significantly higher than what the item is valued at. This is a small locally owned business that is trying to take advantage of people during the time of a global hardship by price gouging. Not only did they try to price gauge, they also lied in relation to other competitors inventory compared to their own trying to push their products with cheaper components. This is a company that values making a quick dollar over customer service and doing what's right by the people spending their hard earned money there. If you plan on being taken advantage of and paying way more for a product than what it's worth I would suggest checking them out. I saw this same bike online for close to one thousand dollars less than what they were trying to sell it to me for. They wouldn't even take the bike off the rack or show me it, they pulled me over to the sales desk and showed me a old sales ticket with the price from 2017 on it. Then said you don't have to buy the bike and walked away. Avoid this establishment at all costs. read more

Excellent bike shop with knowledgeable and helpful staff, plus a great selection of bikes and parts.

Times have changed since I last owned a bike. I decided to try Dirty Harry's and it was a great decision. I must have spent 3 hours with Jeff, tackling everything from what kind of bike I should be on to maintenance & repair. He pulled down countless bikes for me to try. When I found the one that was right, he took the time to make sure that it was situated to fit me. By the time I left, I was outfitted with bike, helmet, lock, and map. I bought some other stuff too, but nothing was forced on me. I even received a card to bring my bike in for them to look at after 2 months of use. If the service of Jeff is an indication of the other members on staff, this should be your one stop bike shop. I will definitely be back! read more

I would not take my bike anywhere else. Matter of fact I would not buy my bike or equipment anywhere else. Brock is a great salesman and Barry is a hand on owner. Great selection of bikes will a knowledgeable staff. read more

Have bought several bikes and numerous pieces of gear from them always at the highest msrp. Their mechanics couldn't care less about you and your bike. After being sold on Stans Tubeless tire solution, they offered to install in on my wheels and when it blew out my back tire seconds into my first ride all they did was laugh and refuse me a refund. Last time I had my bike in for a tune-up I was up charged for everything they did as usual, AND while in the shop they broke my rear shock seal. When I brought it back they assumed none of the fault on their behalf and actually wanted to charge me again to fix the damages they caused!!! I'm am never going back to them and would urge all others to STAY AWAY from these RIP OFF ARTISTS!!! read more
