While I'm not a vegetarian, as you'll see if you keep reading this review, I enjoy vegetarian dishes and felt this was a breath of fresh air compared to most vegetarian burgers are either mushroom or veggie. My partner got the Depot Burger which had so much on it he couldn't even finish. The next time we went with another couple, and I had the Coney Island hot dog. For whatever reason cheese sauce is hard to come by in Australia, so having this chili and cheese dog was great. The Brooklyn Depot definitely lived up to its "American street food" motto. On a side note, I ordered my French fries with a side of ranch, and the American server asked me where I was from. When I replied that I'm from Michigan, she said only people from the States order ranch with their fries, and we commiserated about our shared love of ranch. Haha. She also didn't charge me for the ranch. Love this place. The only somewhat negative thing I'll say is they don't take reservations, and we had to wait almost a half an hour to get seated. But the food is worth the wait. Wish they had more beers on tap but considering they just opened, hopefully maybe in the future that will change.

A nice change from the usual soy/black bean veggie burgers. Came here for 4th of July as we are Americans and wanted to celebrate at an American style diner…read more It was very easy making a reservation and finding parking nearby. Upon entry we checked in with the cashier and were seated at a reserved table. We both ordered burgers as well as cheese fries, a strawberry shake, and a dr pepper to drink. Now I was very much in between a 3-4 star review however because you can't do it in the middle I rounded up simply for their outstanding service and delicious burgers. They were the most "American-Tasting" burgers I have eaten since being in Australia. Fantastic quality and they even have a thousand-island type sauce!! However I was very disappointed with the milkshake and cheese fries. They took the term MILKshake literally and it simply tasted like strawberry milk. It was not thick like a regular ice cream based shake. I left nearly the entire thing on the table after having one taste. The fries were also a disappointment. Definitely don't expect them to taste like cheese fries back home. They simply had a cheesy sauce resembling nacho cheese instead of having melted cheese. However due to the fantastic service and incredible burgers I'm giving this place 4 stars. I will definitely be back for the burgers!

Between us we tried the southern fried chicken wings, the chilli, the choc malt shakes, the double beef burger, the burger special (spicy) and the Mac and cheese. The milk shake was awesome-great flavour. The Mac and cheese was delicious too-nice strong cheesy flavour. My husband loved his double burger but I found mine (the special) to have way too much mayo on it and it just overpowered the burger flavour and it fell apart in my hands. Finally the chicken was just a bit too bland for fried chicken. Plus fried chicken should probably be whole pieces of chicken, not wings (just my view on this though) The service was excellent and the tap beer was great too. Would go back for a standard burger and shake. Price was reasonable but I also have a little bit of an issue in paying nearly $15 for a burger and you still have to buy fries or something on the side. If I could, I would probably give Easy Street 3 1/2 stars but because I can't, I will round it up to 4 base on the great service.

What I loved: - I ordered the buffalo BBQ wings and they were AMAZING. The sauce was great and the quantity justified the price. I would recommend anyone to give this a go. - staff were welcoming and flexible. That to me speaks volumes of the personality of the place. Well done. - they got Dr.Pepper soft drink! This is like golds dust. It is hard to find and I was so happy this places served it. I love giving great reviews of spots I've been to, but sadly Roasties is only getting three stars…read moretoday. When we looked at the menu for Roasties or mouths were watering as everything sounded amazing. Ribs -chicken - rolls - flavour fries - American sweets and drinks, it all seemed amazing, despite the low-high varying prices, but sadly as most things seem, it was too good to be true. My company and myself ordered the pulled pork, country styled chicken, and the Philly cheese steak roll and New York flavour fries. The first downfall, the meal sizes were rather small, they did not seem plentiful at all as if there was an attempt for the meals to be sophisticated in a restaurant people would go to for greasy delicious food. Sadly the arrangement didn't work. On a positive note the fries came is large portions and we're definitely the standout. The New York fries came covered in Cheese-wiz, sour cream, bacon and shallots, it was amazing and they were delicious. Besides them getting cold rather quickly, they were amazing and I would gladly order them take-away in the future. Sides that came with meals were not tasteful at the slightest unless you had peculiar tastes, and again were in extremely small portions. I feel harsh leaving such comments on a place with such high potential but I can only be honest. Roasties is an American BBQ restaurant with amazing potential and a great looking menu. If portion sizes can be adjusted, prices can suit food quality, and food can be hotter, then Roasties can definitely be an amazing restaurant.

So i grabbed the wife and three boys to go out and see what all the fuss was about... This is a very friendly venue with just a couple of tables indoors (seems like all the cooking equipment is rightly afforded pride of place). Apparently they have the best old school chocolate milkshakes in world according to my three boys, plus an amazing selection of american "soda pop". The american burgers are phenomenal (our favorite was the pulled pork), american style BBQ ribs do not get better than this! Bring your napkins and make sure you wear loose fitting pants! We are planning a second and third trip in order to eat our way around the menu.

Old school diner type window allows you to see the food coming out from the kitchen. A small selection of desserts are available in a deli case at the front, perfect for a quick take away for later. Based on the reviews and the menu, my wife and I decided to try out Tribeca NYC after a morning of market shopping. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly in the back booth, near the kitchen window. The server brought us a menu and excused herself. Within two minutes, another server came to ask us about drinks. She chose green tea and I optioned for the Virgin Bloody Mary. The alcoholic version isn't served until 10am. After a few minutes of browsing the menu and deciding, our server took our order. I chose the Saint Bernard Eggs Benedict (Fried Chicken, Poached Eggs, Baby Spinach, and Hollandaise Sauce on Toasted Sourdough) and a side of breakfast potato and my wife chose JFK's Truffle Eggs (Eggs any style topped with Black Truffle and sauteed Mushrooms, served on Sourdough) and a side of bacon. During our wait, the drinks server brought out my wife's tea but informed me apologetically that alcohol was not available until 10am and I had to reaffirm that I wanted a Virgin Bloody Mary. It took almost half an hour to eventually receive my drink, which was a bit disappointing. My wife confirmed that I did say Virgin. Oh well. After receiving our food, we tucked right in. My meal: Eggs were well poached, with a nice runny yolk. The hollandaise sauce is decent but not the best. I found it on the too lemony side. Definitely not enough to cover the entree. It was basically a dollop on each egg which almost made it pointless and not worthy of being called an Eggs Benedict. The chicken was a very nice flavor but the crust fell apart as soon as I cut into it and went soggy very quickly. I'm unsure what causes the spice in the dish, the spices in the chicken batter or the secret relish but if you don't like spicy foods, choose something else. I love spice, so it was a very delicious flavor to me. Not hot, just a nice subtle spice hit. The dish is served with two large, thick pieces of Sourdough. It's, eh. One piece was enough for me. It could have used some butter. Warning, the breakfast potato is sweet potato home fries. It threw me off because I was not expecting sweet potato. Don't get me wrong, they were absolutely delicious and had a wonderful taste but I'm not big on sweet potato for breakfast and wish it would have been clear on the menu what I would be getting. I would definitely order some for lunch or dinner. Beware, the Bloody Mary is very spicy, with a back of the throat kick. My kind of drink, so I loved it. Wife's meal: Eggs were perfect, soft poached. She acknowledged that she loved every morsel. The only downside is that American bacon gets mentioned throughout the menu, so she ordered a side of bacon, with hopes of having American bacon, but that is definitely not what she received. The side of bacon doesn't mention being American, so unsure if it only comes with certain items or if that is their version of American bacon. Ask your server for verification if you don't want to be disappointed. Overall, it was a decent meal. It's not something I would write home about but I would recommend it. Good quantity of food for the pricing. I do have to give a shout out to our server though (apologies for not catching her name) because she was great. My wife was highly impressed with her professionalism of quality checking the plates at the kitchen window. She was attentive, friendly, and gave us very awesome customer service. Try Tribeca NYC, you'll probably like it.
