I have rewritten this review. I boarded my dog for two weeks and I was away from internet and phone for the entire period. I come back to find the doors locked and see this sign on the door. No one answers the phone number left on the note, no one answers the door when I shout, no one answers when I pounded on the door. After about 15 minutes, finally figured out the phone number to call and was able to get my dog. On the care side, they had washed him for free. He seemed happy and had been cared for. I originally gave Dirty Dog 1 star, but I have decided to change it to three stars. I give the folks who care for dogs 4.5 stars, I give the owner 1 star for his business practices. It a good place to leave your dog for a day, but I would not leave them there for a week or so. To much uncertainty. read more

Had a great review when I took Sheriff there a year ago. I probably had warmer feelings about the place since we really liked the last owners and felt they treated Rebel so well. However, I took Sheriff on Monday and he was freaked out about staying. Sometimes he does that, he has anxiety. When I came to pick him up, I asked about training, the owner who does it, was sitting on the couch, computer in hand, listening and ignoring my conversation with the front desk girl and she said she'd give him, nod to the owner, the message and he'd call. (I did call a few months ago to ask about it and he answered and said to come down and talk in person.) so here I am. My dog could hear me and he started screaming, going ape crap in the back. I was charged full price even though they 'couldn't clip his nails, even with a muzzle'. He's been groomed many times, but this time was different. The owner asked if that was my dog? I said yes, he gave me a disgusted and dismissive look and never did call me regarding training. The real kicker is the fact that after I went back to work, my fiancé and his brother said that until I got home, Sheriff was shivering and shaking and didn't move for the remainder the day. He seemed fine when I got home at 5. So we won't be back. read more

I just had a really good first experience here with my poodle Tucker. Easy to get in, fair prices and CRYSTAL DID A FANTASTIC JOB!Probably one of the nicest cuts he's ever had. I started taking my "lovers" (Cooper and Solo) there when they first opened in 2014 (now they are regulars). Linda and Chuck have been great and said they were working on expanding. They are very good to my boys! Notes: 1. They do not feed your dogs while there, so I try to give them a snack before they go and then of course their main meal when they get home. *usually exhausted and hungry.. 2. They have an indoor area that has air conditioning, an outdoor area with grass and a small kid pool, *personally I like that my dogs are clean when I pick them up, not because they offer baths, but because it's indoors and/or outdoors with no dirt! My car stays a littler cleaner with no muddy paw prints.. 3. They have a self wash, area but I'd rather just have Linda was my guys (as needed). 4. Their fees are within a reasonable rate with credit card and cash welcomed. Some of the recommendations for future could be: 1. A nanny cam so I could check on the boys. 2. A larger pool with a walk in ramp for the dogs and/or life vests as needed (provided or BYO) *they offered this at another daycare I used, and the boys loved it. 3. Some shopping accessories at check in or check out, like snacks, toys, water bottles etc.. 4. A larger staff to accommodate weekends and/or overnight (M-F only). 5. A social event event on location so we can network with the other "parents" and "dogs" like a once a month mixer... And/or to check out the facility and see what's going on, behind the scenes. 6. A news flyer -monthly (1 page or even on Facebook) of dogs on site, new dogs, birthday dogs, dogs that passed on, dogs that finished trainings, training classes offered, baths, promo, (the mixer info), staff, etc.. read more

I had my dog bathed, ears cleaned, nails done 64$. My issue is that his nails were cut very short not bleeding but im sure it was not comfortable (past the white part of nail) they were also ragged and uneven. He smelled better but didn't look any different....too expensive . I also called when after 2.5 hours I didn't hear from him. He barely made it out the door to relieve himself. read more

Would give -5 stars if possible Never had a dog in need of groomer services until getting my shih tzu, had started taking there as soon as she was current with her vaccinations. All seemed fine, but I noticed after six months my shih tzu no longer seemed excited to be there. They typically had her done in an hour (which in hindsight doesn't seem right, her current groomer allows her breaks) I showed up one day and heard her screaming, the dude Chuck seemed bugged I showed up early and went back and spoke to Linda, my dog suddenly stopped screaming. Wtf? Crazy ... also notice a razor burn and her nail seemed to hurt as if too short. After that I never took her back, I found a groomer who does keep her from 10 to 3 which seemed long but they explained they stop when they have had enough, will work on another and back and fowarth; This to me makes more sense, also my Shih Tzu is always excited to go again. I don't recommend, I don't like the hush hush behavior I saw first hand, and Chuck is just down right rude. I missed an appointment once due to a misunderstanding, he spent a good 15minutes lecturing me over the their lose of income and if I ever do that again I will no longer be welcomed. I always have tipped generous, and once Chuck gave me a minute to speak I offered to pay full price for the missed appointment plus a tip for the the inconvenience i caused. He refused to except apology and take my gratitude, yet continued to bitch about it. Linda I noticed too would often roll her eyes and make snide remarks about my shih tzu being a diva ... This whole experience was my first with any groomer as well as my Shih Tzu, I feel so guilty in hindsight for ever taking her there. Please pay attention to your dogs behavior, if they start to act strange when arriving or being picked up, there may be a issue In addition ... their cost is much higher than my current groomer and the quality of cut is horrific in comparison to what my shih tzu receives now read more

A week or so ago I took my dog in to get groomed. They asked me exactly what I wanted and I told them to take three inches off my Australian shepherds 6 inch hair. (Mind you, this summer I'd taken her in to get shaved and they told me absolutely not and that it would ruin her fur.) I had an appointment for 1 pm. I dropped her off at 12:30 pm. When I came at 5:45 pm to pick her up they said they hadn't started on her yet. I decided to go to dinner and came back around 6:45. When I picked her up she was completely shaved, and her back legs were way shorter shaven then the front and uneven. It looked like she went in for a bad surgery. Plus her nails weren't trimmed. They told me they had had a long day and just couldn't get to her in the end. I was pretty upset as I was leaving with my dog on vacation to the snow and here she was mauled by a razor. I left a message to have the owners or a manager call me. A manager called me back and I expressed my concern and that it was upsetting. She told me they'd had a dog in that took most of the day. I said I understood, but if they hadn't had time I could have brought her back another day. She told me she couldn't put my dogs hair back on and left it at that. I feel that this was completely rude as I've been coming there for awhile, and came with a loving heart when trying to deal with the situation. Now they haven't done what I've asked the last two times. I do want to say that I left her there for a weekend and who ever was watching her was amazing, checked in with me, etc. I tried to get ahold of the owner to talk this over so I wasn't left with writing this review, but sadly to no avail. read more

OMG! Took my baby dog there once before and all was good. Must be new owners or under new management. My dog was so stressed like I've never seen before. Also, they quoted me $27 over-the-phone based upon her weight and when I went to pick up my baby girl they said their pricing had changed and they wanted $47! They said that if I didn't pay the full $47 they would hold my dog. They also said that I was very disrespectful because I didn't want to pay their ransom. I am surely done with Dirty Dog as they themselves are truly Dirty-Dogs. I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a dog groomer. Be careful with this place! read more

Took my Lhasa Apso to dirty dog daycare and he came out looking like a chihuahua and trust me the place lives up to its name, that place is a dump. First of the groomer seems to not know what shes doing, if you know about dogs or seen Lhasas they are suppose to be left with a mustache and bushy eyebrows and ears, well all of his face hairs were shaved off that i couldnt even recognize him, I almost thought they were handing me the wrong dog. Also as i was paying the groomer and the manager were arguing of how much to charge me right in front of me. He said $45 and she kept telling him to charge me more. I thank him but overall not a professional place you want to take your business. read more

One star because you can't put ZERO stars! I needed a daycare for my dog and this place is very close to my home. I thought PERFECT! Nope! They wouldn't even consider him because he has pit in him. I would avoid using for doggy day care. My dog was attacked and suffered a bite from a much larger dog. It happened when he was being walked though a section of larger dogs and my dog was under control of the handler. The primary reason for a single star is they lied, and said it happened when he tried to jump a gate. My vet confirmed it was a dog bite, and it cost over $400 in treatment. The owners never followed up, which means they were never told or they don't care. read more

The owner had a great grooming woman just found out once again she's left how many is he going to go through? Loved her attitude with my dog and our interactions. Left my dog for bathing today came back and I could do a better job, found out the groomer was gone. This business is awful and unreliable. read more

Super friendly staff, easy to talk to, terrific 'dog people'. Very accommodating to the needs of animals, for short visits, lots of breaks, etc. The prices are good, extras can add up if you throw them in at the last minute- make sure you discuss your needs clearly upfront, and know that matting, ticks, or fox tails will take extra time and add to the price. Totally worth it, because They are skilled at those things, and I'm not. They also have a self-wash station with a low rate, and walk-in nail trims (I think the sign said $5). The indoor/outdoor daycare area is great, and based on conversation with staffers Patti and Crystal, someone is onsite for indoor overnight boarding. I've never heard that before, it sounds like a home-like arrangement that probably helps keep the dogs from stressing out. They've had recent changes to staff and management, and it's tragic to see that they are haunted by reviews of the past. I understand that the new owner will be changing the name to link with his training business Canine Energetics. Hopefully that will help clean the slate. read more

Our dogs love Linda and Chuck at Dirty Dog. Our dogs are super excited to be dropped off for daycare! They are happy and tired when we pick them up. We have also used Dirty Dog for baths and nail trims and are very happy with the results. Rates are reasonable, service is excellent, and the facility is always clean and fresh. read more

I took my big dog Rusty here when they were first opening when I visited my boyfriend's mom. They did such an amazing job washing Rusty! His fur felt incredibly clean when I ran my fingers through after the wash. He's 120lbs so it's no easy task to wash him. They left him smelling clean and dry, not perfume smelling though. Just perfect. I've gone back since. I know they have a self wash station too but Rusty is too big for me to wash myself so I have continued to get the professional wash. Their prices were also better than where I live. The space is clean, nothing to complain about! LOVED IT! read more

My dog LOVES Linda and Chuck. He has had a few bad experiences with other places in the past and was the happiest I have ever seen him after his visit with Dirty Dog Daycare and has been back a few more times since. Worth the 45 minute drive to me for a great grooming experience. read more

Well, this is daunting. I have been taking our dog for occasional daycare to Dirty Dog for a number of years. Owner Linda was a methodical, knowledgeable person who was excellent with dogs, could determine their temperment, do training, etc. After she sold the business last year, her brother, Chuck, was in charge at the front desk just as he was when she owned the business. Now I learn that Chuck is no longer there so I don't know how much has changed, and there is evidently no current website to get additional information. Further, the fellow whom I spoke with said there was no record of my dog having come in the past! I would be reluctant to take my pet there until more information is forthcoming...at least in the form of a current website. read more

I do not recommend this daycare, have many friends who have reported they're pets coming home with gashes and cuts on they're face and body, owner has lied on several acassions .. poor people skills and generally a grumpy person.. the owners general lack of care for animals turns my stomach.. I took my dog there last week to get a haircut and they didn't do it the way I wanted they said they would correct it at no charge but when we picked up my dog they charged me a additional 33 dollars for her bath which they didn't state when I dropped her off I will not being going back there again read more

They butchered my poor dog. They called me to tell me my dog was ready and left a voicemail. I was driving at the moment so just headed over there to pick her up. The young man at the front desk was incredibly rude and told me with an attitude they had called me but couldn't reach me. I asked for a simple poodle cut just to leave the ears a little shorter so they wouldn't dip into her water bowl and they just took a buzzer all around her. I didn't even recognize her. Also the cut was incredibly uneven. Never come here to get your dog groomed. I had come her in the past and the women had done a beautiful job. A friend of mine took his dog, that I have groomed for the last 3 years until I moved away, too them today. Not only did they keep him twice the amount of time that was promised, they did the worse hack job I have ever seen! They told the owner they did him in the "bichon" pattern but clearly they have no clue what that is. He is uneven all over and still has mats, he's not clean and has been acting "off" since he has been home. I understand dogs can take more time when they are matted and the owner is VERY understanding of this. He's disabled and can't brush him like he should. He's also understanding if the dog has to be clipped shorter due to mats. This place is an absolute joke. They can't seem to get it together as a business. I do not recommend anyone to this place. I have never heard good things of this place, including before the new guy took over and also about his business he had before this one. If you want your dog to be well taken care of, go somewhere else. Apparently the new groomer is also from another business I wouldn't have ever recommended either. I absolutely love this place! It has been a lifesaver for me for my dog; Koda. This was the first place I took him to be groomed as a puppy. They did a great job but he really gave them a hard time trimming he nails. His first year I was having a lot of behavioral issues with him. After several classes and trainings with other trainers I was feeling challenged. I couldn't wait to get him fixed so he could play and hang out during the day (while I worked) at this doggy daycare. (And give me a break!) The transformation in his behavior is amazing! He loves going here and plays hard everyday. He has learned to play with other dogs and Linda & Chuck have really been a huge part of his training while there. He gets so excited when we drive up. He obviously loves it. Koda has become a 'normal' dog; not aggressive whatsoever. Reasonably priced and worth every penny. Oh, I might add they can now trim his nails. (Even the vet had a hard time!) He's so used to them and likes them so much, it sometimes makes me jealous! Lol read more
