Both of them are incredibly friendly and nice. Prices are reasonable and they are flexible with appointment times for trials. The morning of the wedding, they were fun, upbeat and professional all at the same time - getting us ready with plenty of time to spare! (They traveled to us which was a huge help!) We all loved our hair and makeup - and it looked great the entire day and night (even though it was 90+ degrees outside!). They also did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower, and I loved the work they did then as well!! I'll certainly be back for haircuts with Nicole, or if I ever need any sort of up do/makeup. I would definitely recommend them for any future brides or anyone who needs beauty services for a special occasion!

My stylist was Marie, who was so sweet and listened to all of my wishes and concerns about my wedding day look. She seriously is a hair magician- my hair is not easy to work with (very fine, slippery, but a LOT of hair), and she totally crushed it. The studio is a complete oasis in Hartford and they've even got a new designated spa room tucked away beyond the funky vintage-chic makeup and hair bar. They're also the only studio that uses the Skin Inc tri-light technology, a REALLY cool spa-grade device with three different lights that treats acne, calms sensitive skin, and focuses on anti-aging. Upon booking, I included a $500 deposit for my trial hair and makeup. When I tried to book my appointment they had very limited availability. We finally agreed on a date and time that worked for both of us as I live in New York and would be traveling to get there. When I arrived for my hair and makeup trial the salon was completely closed down. It is a hole in the wall and I was stuck waiting in the back parking lot for someone to show up. After I finally got a hold of the owner she claimed it was a "scheduling glitch" even though I had confirmed it on three separate occasions including an automated confirmation sent from them. The owner didn't even bother to come and open the salon and make sure everything was set up for their bride. Just left it in the hands of the two artists that didn't show up. When I ultimately decided not to move forward their additional services for my wedding, months in advance, she refused to give me my $500 deposit for my trial back. Services not rendered. How could I trust them after they couldn't even handle being organized enough for a hair and makeup trial? She was extremely rude in her email reply.
