The Nanny Connection - Date Night!

    The Nanny Connection

Really disappointed in my experience with The Nanny Connection. I've worked with agencies in New…read moreYork City, Los Angeles, as well as a nanny and governess school based out of Cleveland. I have never been so disrespected and dismissed as a Certified Professional Governess before in my entire career. I was discouraged and almost reprimanded for requiring I get reimbursed for health insurance (for a full time position). That is disgusting, all full-time employees are deserved health care benefits, especially a professional proving a luxury service; being a nanny! They were hoping I would just accept anything offered or not offered to me so they could greedily collect their monetary compensation for the placement. I was also told that I should not be negotiating my salary, and I quote, "we do all of the negotiating with the families, you are not the one paying for this service".... Could you imagine. And to this I replied, "without the nannies you would have no service to provide". I have never had an agency try to push so hard Nannies also taking the role of household maid and professional chef. I made it very clear that I am a professional (I have years of nannying experience, have a bachelors in English Education, and went to a nanny school to become a certified professional governess) and will not be subjected to scrubbing the floors, when my focus and background has prepared me for the educating and nurturing of the child. (Of course I always perform any child related cleaning task and make meals for the children). I could keep going. I luckily was able to advocate for myself to this agency and demand my rightful compensation and found a family who after interviewing with me- was made aware of what I am able to provide for their children and hired me. I fear for the nannies who are not as strong and will be taken advantage of. Overall, this agency doesn't care for children, because if they did- they would want to ensure that every family is placed with the best, most skilled, professional nanny that is respected and compensated for in a professional manner.

I interviewed and was offered a position with the company as a nanny. In corresponding with the recruiters/hiring staff they were so disrespectful and rude. They expect you to bend over backwards for them and to respond to their texts/calls within 10 minutes. Meanwhile they take their good old time in responding back to my questions/concerns...if they respond at all. Would not recommend this company to either Nannies looking for employment or to families looking for care. They suck!!!

I'm posting this review for someone I know who "worked" with Dale. My friend is looking for…read moremanagement job in the restaurant industry and was recommend to contact Dale. The first few contacts were great; he seemed professional and like he had his act together. Today, however, I think Dale showed his true, unprofessional colors. Dale asked my friend why there were gaps in his resume. My friend explained that schooling and some personal reasons were the reasons behind the gaps, but that if he wanted to meet for a more in-depth interview, he'd be happy to explain his personal history in detail. Dale proceeded to ask about a specific gap to which my friend stated he'd have to go back and look at his calender to see why there was that particular gap. Dale then stated, "Do you have Alzheimer's?", to which my friend said, "Excuse me?". Dale repeated, "Do you have Alzheimer's?". My friend expressed his displeasure with that comment, that yes, it had offended him. My friend stated he would NOT be doing business with someone who would say such an uncouth statement and someone who did not see anything wrong with such a comment. I highly recommend that you, nor anyone you know, do not do business with this person. I cannot believe that anyone who would say something so incredibly rude and unfeeling would be able to provide good or decent employment contacts. Dale Kutsko, I hope you read this and recognize that Alzheimer's disease is an incredibly debilitating disease, not only to those who have it, but to their families and friends. In 2013, over 5 million people have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's; that means that 1 person develops Alzheimer's every 68 seconds! 1 in 3 Seniors have Alzheimer's. There are also over 15 million people who are caregivers of people with Alzheimer's and Dementia. If I haven't already made myself clear, what you said is out-of-line. Obviously, you are an ignorant and unfeeling person who does not have a sensor. I regret that anyone would recommend you as someone to do business with, and I will make it known in the communities that I work and to everyone I know that you are not a decent human and no one I know will ever do business with you.

He took a very no nonsense approach in preparing me for the interview process. After gaining his knowledge, I was very comfortable and able to go out and crush the interviews! I was hired by a great company just two weeks after meeting Dale. I would recommend him to anyone I know in the industry.
