To clarify, the shake was definitely homemade, but it could have been better. To expand, the shake was very thin and didn't have enough chocolate. I like thin shakes, but they need to have a lot of chocolate or else it will taste like chocolate milk. In any case, the ice cream in the shake was homemade and it helped elevate the flavor. With that said, if the shake simply just had more chocolate, it would have been great. Essentially, King's Homemade Ice Cream is a solid dessert shop, but they have room for improvement.

Preferences vary but I'm just not a fan of Hershey or other wholesale selling ice cream spots. That's what a lot of ice cream places are, resellers of other ice cream. NOT HERE! Lines can get wild in the summer but there is plenty of setting and they have massive farm fans above head. It's just nice to sit and enjoy every once in a while. Plus, it's always nice to see the cows and sometimes you might find calves visiting.
