do not come here.. i dropped my car off on a tuesday for a flat tire to be fixed/replaced. they…read moresaid they would call me with an update but never did. i called them multiple times over multiple days and they never answered. on saturday i had to get a 15 minute ride there for them to tell me they couldnt repair my tire and it needed to be replaced. i started to ask if i could get that set up right then (getting my tired replaced) and it took several minutes for the man behind the counter to understand what i was asking for. he tried to give me back my keys and send me off. he is working at an auto center and doesn't know how to fulfill a tire replacement ? when picking a tire there were four types listed as in stock. i chose one and left. i was told my car would be ready in a few hours, and a few hours later i did get a text message saying that it was ready. i chose to wait until the next day to come in. i come in and the same man tells me that they don't have the tire i chose in stock. (my car is in fact not ready.) out of the three other tires that were listed as 'in stock' in the system, none of those were in stock either. also in the background of this last visit, a woman was trying to fix the disorganized mess behind the counter and started trying to match keys to their printed order sheets. there were two order sheets without keys and she said that they either lost the keys or that the customers left without paying, she had no idea. overall i'm amazed at the incompetency, i'm lucky i left with my car at all with how disorganized they were, leaving keys out in the open as they left for ten minutes at a time and whatnot.

They do not seem to work as efficiently as they can and they seem to not care about how long customers have to wait. Don't go here if you are in a hurry.

My experience with Cannon Motors in Oxford, Mississippi, has been extremely disappointing…read more I brought my 2022 Chevrolet Traverse in for transmission repairs. Before the repair, my vehicle was not making any unusual exhaust noise. After the transmission work was completed, it developed a loud exhaust noise that had never been present before. I was later informed that the exhaust manifold/rear catalytic converter was damaged and that the repair would cost $1,932.67. Cannon Motors claims the damage was caused by a pre-existing condition related to modifications made to accommodate me as a disabled driver. Unfortunately, that explanation does not make sense based on the history of my vehicle. Over the years, this vehicle has undergone numerous oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and maintenance visits. If this had truly been a pre-existing issue, it seems reasonable that it would have been discovered and documented long before now. Additionally, during the initial diagnosis of my transmission problem, I was never informed of any damage to the exhaust manifold or catalytic converter. The timing is difficult to ignore. I delivered a vehicle that was not making this noise, and after extensive transmission work requiring access underneath the vehicle, I was told that a major exhaust component was damaged and that I would be responsible for nearly $2,000 in repairs. To better understand the issue, I sought a second opinion from an independent repair shop. Oxford Tire Inc. diagnosed the same problem but estimated the repair at approximately $930--less than half of Cannon Motors' quoted price of $1,932.67. While different repair facilities may charge different rates, the large difference in cost raised additional concerns for me. As a disabled driver who relies on this specially modified vehicle for transportation, I expected a thorough investigation of my concerns and clear evidence supporting their conclusion. Instead, I feel my concerns were dismissed, and responsibility was shifted to me without sufficient explanation. While I cannot definitively prove when the damage occurred, I am extremely dissatisfied with how this situation has been handled. Between the unexplained appearance of the exhaust issue immediately following transmission repairs, the lack of prior documentation of any such problem, and the significantly lower estimate from another repair facility, I am left with more questions than answers. Based on my experience, I encourage anyone considering major repair work to carefully document the condition of their vehicle before service and ask detailed questions about any issues discovered during the repair process. I cannot recommend Cannon Motors based on my experience.
