What a fun place to stop in for a cold beer , first thought when I walked in was I love the decor. There was a huge selection and everyone said try the michilada it's popular. They weren't wrong it was delicious, my second drink was the blue raz slushy, it was so refreshing and delicious. The server was beyond amazing, great service super fast . I loved that we can enjoy a nice cocktail and also order a meal . Smash and Grab burgers were there serving truffle fries patty melts and he made me a special protein burger with no bun . It was AMAZING and the customer service was incredible. We're definitely coming back !!

Was visiting Bakersfield for a concert and wanted to visit some local breweries.. not much parking but was able to find a spot. The Beer was a bit disappointing

Dank Street - West Coast IPA 6.9% ABV 11.29.24

We were in staying in the area for the night and found this brewery on Yelp and I'm glad we stopped in. They have quite a few beers and everyone should be able to find something that they'd enjoy. The staff was nice and chatty, which I love! The beers were tasty and finished well. The brewery is small and cozy. PARKING: We parked on the street and didn't have any issues finding a space. TO-GO: They had a few, just ask. SWAG: They had a small selection of swag but no tin tackers. I would come back if we were ever back in the area.

Great little Brewery! First time here. Tons of cold beer selection. Staff was friendly and the ambiance was chill. This is great spot for brewery hopping, as there is several in this area.

Slushy flight (watermelon, mango, lemon lime and blue razz) "Peach on through" sours

Great little spot! I haven't been here in quite some time, but I came across their Instagram advertising a beer shushy flight for $12 and couldn't pass it up! I came by Friday night for the special and had a great time. Luckily, it wasn't too busy, so there were tables available inside. Slushies are great. I also ordered the "peach on through" sour, which is pretty good. I wish I didn't live on the opposite side of town so I could frequent Dionysus more often!

Found this little gem when I had some friends coming into town. We all love great beer and I figured I would take them on a Bakersfield brewery hop. This spot was the fourth in our stops. Dionysus is a nice little brewery. The people there are super cool. The sitting area is right in the brewery. It is an awesome little spot. Not only is it a cool spot but they also have great beers. If you are looking for beers that are not your typical mainstream beers, this is your spot. I am a huge fan of sours. I sampled all the sours they have. They always have new styles to try and something interesting about them. Best part about finding this brewery is the fact that my wife is not a beer fan. Since I make beer at home, I have her sample them all the time. Dionysus is one of the first spots we're she will sit down and order a beer or two. I was shocked the first time she came back with a Dionysus IPA. For the simple fact that my wife will order and drink a full beer from here will keep us coming back! If you are in the area and looking to try some new, refreshing beers, stop into Dionysus. You will not be disappointed.

Funkadelic soooooo yummy! Saw this on a fellow yelpers page and so happy I did! Amazing! I love tart beers.

This place was amazing! I really love the outdoor area they have setup. I'd been here once before very quickly before COVID. My husband and I decided to stop by and spend more time trying out the beer and hanging out. They had Bucky's Hot Chicken food truck for customers. The customer service here was great and the beer was amazing! I LOVE sour beers and wow they have amazing choices here. This place is definitely worth the visit!

Super Funkadelic - double fruited spicy gose with apricots and jalapeño

I've heard of Dionysus for a while because when people find out that I like sour beers, they always recommend this brewery. Ever since the pandemic I realized I'm only a social drinker so when my best friend came to visit I knew we had to finally check out some of the delicious sour beer. The brewery is in sort of an industrial side of town so be sure to pay attention to the signs. It's easy to get lost trying to find the brewery if it's your first time. The tasting room is a little chilly in the evenings in the fall and winter so be sure to layer if you visit from November to around February. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming. I asked for a sour and between the two they had on tap he recommended the Super Funkadelic. It was so delicious and with just the right amount of heat. The brewery is part of the Bakersfield Kern County Brewery Trail. Be sure to check in to get credit if you're trying to visit all of the 16 breweries on the list. I definitely want to go again on a warmer day and try some of the slushy beers.

Had a good time there hanging out with my husband and Kyle was so hospitable. The beers were all tasty (except the notably bad batch of the cream one) and the slushies will be the best come this summer.

Love the beer here. Small but delicious. Very chill spot. My favorite is the milkshake dreams beer Occasionally they have food trucks here so look out for that.

IPA and a great game

By far my favorite brewery. And I've been to a lot. But this is the best high quality beers in a hole in the hole brewery in our cities industrial district. There specialties are IPAs, Stouts and Sours and they do them very well. And they aren't shy to doing something different. And Some of the coolest chillest guys run the place. Always ready serve or converse with you. This place like cheers. Sometimes you gotta go where everybody knows your name and this is the closest place in town to that for me. Great local vibe inside with 2 TVs to watch a great game (Love watching an NFL game here) and an outside beer garden for on that rare night Bako is either not to hot or to cold is a lot of fun too.

Sampler!

Had a great time at Dionysus. As my first time, I had the sampler and was impressed with the great selection of beers. My all time favorite drink was the juicesicle it was AMAZING. It is a sour beer and it tasted just like a fruit popsicle wow I will never forget it....lol. They have a great selection of fun and innovative beers and I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. I def recommend to check it out!

After arriving in Bakersfield, we were looking for places closeby to get some dinner. As we were…read morepulling up to the hotel, I thought I saw a sign that said brewery, so looked it up and - yep - there's a brewery right across the street. We walked over and had an enjoyable experience. I would first note, they only had 5 of the brewery's own beers on tap. I didn't mind, as I enjoyed a blood orange witbier. I had the sliders with veggie sticks and they were delicious. I was excited to see something besides just chips offered for sides. The seating space is ample and the night we were there, there was music. I was actually pleasantly surprised the music wasn't super loud and echo-y and we could still enjoy conversation. I would recommend stopping by for a beer and some food!

When we made the reservation, no one told us that the restaurant operates as a self-service setup. We assumed, like most places that accept large reservations, that there would be some level of table service. Instead, the table was basically just a place for us to sit and eat. If we wanted drinks, we had to go up to the bar ourselves to order them. When it came time to eat, we had to leave the table again and go up to the front counter to place our food orders. No one came to the table to take orders, check on us, or even bring water. We ended up having to get water ourselves as well. What was most frustrating was at the end when I went to pay the bill and was told that an automatic 20% gratuity had been added because we were a large party. I completely understand adding gratuity when a staff is actively serving a large group taking orders, bringing drinks, refilling water, checking on the table, etc. But in this case there was essentially no service provided. Everything from ordering drinks, ordering food, and getting water was self-service. If the restaurant is going to run this way, that's fine but it should be clearly communicated when a large group makes a reservation, and automatic gratuity for "service" that didn't happen doesn't feel appropriate. We come to Bakersfield twice a year and after this experience, I don't think we will ever be back.

I guess because it's a sports bar restaurant, and it's in Bakersfield. I got the shock of my life. It turned out, this was the best barbecue food I ever had. Not only that, but it's very affordable. I would say a bargain. I didn't have to spend 100+ dollars for 2 persons, like a lot of so called high quality barbecue restaurants. The briskets and ribs were amazing. Delicious, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. Sides were also delicious. The service was good too. You just go up and get your order. It took a little time, but the staff is helpful and friendly. I'll be back here again, the next time I'm in Bakersfield. Maybe I'll visit the Buck Owen's museum. Bakersfield is truly the Texas of California, although I've only been to El Paso, Texas.

The menu has my kids happy, there's a good variety for the adults. Not really into drinking on a road trip, but as bars go, looks like a great place to watch the game with your crew! The service is prompt, order at the counter and find a seat. It's nothing special, just a well orderd eatery with something for everyone.
