Stopped by here on Sunday afternoon on our way home from Fresno. Its in a warehouse with no a/c but still manages to stay pretty cool. The ambiance is pretty chill. Had the hazzy mazzy which was a refreshing hazzy IPA. And the michelada had a nice kick but not too bad. Prices are ok spent a little less than 60 for 3 IPA and 3 micheladas. read more

One of our favorite breweries. Great beers, sours, slushes, and seltzers. They have some iconic food trucks that grace the Dionysus grounds. They share a parking lot with another bar but hands down Dionysus has some of the best flavored brews. They have their iconic Milkshake Dreams, which is a milkshake IPA. Think of a milkshake beer, with the looks of a beer but the creamy aftertaste of a milkshake. They have an ever changing menu but with some key staples. Definitely some great merch, to go along with their to go drinks. Great bartenders, who will talk with you about the games or even the WWE matches they'll play some nights. Stop on in for a couple beers and definitely get one or two games in of NBA Jam, in their "game room." Have a great night out, or afternoon at the bar and see you at the next spot. read more

This industrial park is one of Bakersfield's best escape rooms (Bakersfield Beer Co right next to Dio). They always have a great selection of beer/seltzers/slushies with at least 16 on our last visit, so you have plenty of choices. On top of that the dog/cat game is on point and adds to the experience. The place is spacious with t.v's all around music is also play in the background lightly. We were greeted accordingly with a smile. We were seated promptly and brought our drinks. Very interesting location. Parking can be a little tight. Check out some pretty sweet tuners in the parking lot since their is a car shop a few doors down. It is a little chilly at this time of year with the garage door open but I bet it is nice during the summer and spring. The service is excellent, you can sample a drink before taking 16 oz of that bad boy. Ciders were excellent! I also liked the flavor of their sours, but it was a little too tart for me , so I would only be able to drink one. Cool little spot to drink a beer with the boys. read more

The beer is cold, refreshing and delicious! Plenty of offerings from staples to seasonal to limited runs to seltzers, there's something here for everyone. The beer slushes are pretty fun too, especially on those really hot summer days. Staff is super friendly and willing to help with suggestions if need be or just great conversation. The place is clean and has plenty of seating. The only real drawback is that the tasting room can get pretty hot during the summer, since it's located in a warehouse. What a fun place to stop in for a cold beer , first thought when I walked in was I love the decor. There was a huge selection and everyone said try the michilada it's popular. They weren't wrong it was delicious, my second drink was the blue raz slushy, it was so refreshing and delicious. The server was beyond amazing, great service super fast . I loved that we can enjoy a nice cocktail and also order a meal . Smash and Grab burgers were there serving truffle fries patty melts and he made me a special protein burger with no bun . It was AMAZING and the customer service was incredible. We're definitely coming back !! read more

We were in staying in the area for the night and found this brewery on Yelp and I'm glad we stopped in. They have quite a few beers and everyone should be able to find something that they'd enjoy. The staff was nice and chatty, which I love! The beers were tasty and finished well. The brewery is small and cozy. PARKING: We parked on the street and didn't have any issues finding a space. Great little spot! I haven't been here in quite some time, but I came across their Instagram advertising a beer shushy flight for $12 and couldn't pass it up! I came by Friday night for the special and had a great time. Luckily, it wasn't too busy, so there were tables available inside. Slushies are great. This place was amazing! I really love the outdoor area they have setup. I'd been here once before very quickly before COVID. My husband and I decided to stop by and spend more time trying out the beer and hanging out. They had Bucky's Hot Chicken food truck for customers. Dionysus is a nice little brewery. The people there are super cool. The sitting area is right in the brewery. It is an awesome little spot. Not only is it a cool spot but they also have great beers. If you are looking for beers that are not your typical mainstream beers, this is your spot. I am a huge fan of sours. I sampled all the sours they have. They always have new styles to try and something interesting about them. Best part about finding this brewery is the fact that my wife is not a beer fan. Since I make beer at home, I have her sample them all the time. Dionysus is one of the first spots we're she will sit down and order a beer or two. I was shocked the first time she came back with a Dionysus IPA. For the simple fact that my wife will order and drink a full beer from here will keep us coming back! I've heard of Dionysus for a while because when people find out that I like sour beers, they always recommend this brewery. Ever since the pandemic I realized I'm only a social drinker so when my best friend came to visit I knew we had to finally check out some of the delicious sour beer. The brewery is in sort of an industrial side of town so be sure to pay attention to the signs. It's easy to get lost trying to find the brewery if it's your first time. The tasting room is a little chilly in the evenings in the fall and winter so be sure to layer if you visit from November to around February. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming. I asked for a sour and between the two they had on tap he recommended the Super Funkadelic. It was so delicious and with just the right amount of heat. The brewery is part of the Bakersfield Kern County Brewery Trail. Be sure to check in to get credit if you're trying to visit all of the 16 breweries on the list. I definitely want to go again on a warmer day and try some of the slushy beers. read more

By far my favorite brewery. And I've been to a lot. But this is the best high quality beers in a hole in the hole brewery in our cities industrial district. There specialties are IPAs, Stouts and Sours and they do them very well. And they aren't shy to doing something different. And Some of the coolest chillest guys run the place. Always ready serve or converse with you. This place like cheers. Sometimes you gotta go where everybody knows your name and this is the closest place in town to that for me. Great local vibe inside with 2 TVs to watch a great game (Love watching an NFL game here) and an outside beer garden for on that rare night Bako is either not to hot or to cold is a lot of fun too. read more

I wanted to come on March 8th, to try their pink drink for International Womens day but ended up coming the day after. It's a Sour Ale super good! Highly recommend. Also tried their Michelada which is not on their menu but they will make if you ask for it. I love spicy food but the drink had my mouth on fire so if you don't do spicy I wouldn't recommend! They also had a small food truck with Mexican food i tried the chicken and Al pastor tacos and they were very good! Service amazing as always read more

Hidden gem in bakersfield. I walked in and I was no expecting such a variety of beers! I was pleasantly surprised. The mango beer slushy was so good I'm not even sure I ever want to go to 7-11 for their mediocre (and non-alcoholic!) versions again. I don't know how I haven't reviewed this place yet considering how much money I've spent here lol. I am not a fan of IPA's and a lot of my friends are so I'm always the odd man out. Then one day a friend recommends Dionysus to me and tells me since I don't like IPA I should try a sour........and on that day my bank account cried. Their sours are amazing from the Super Funks to the Berlinsfield line and everything in between they are just amazing. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the staff is friendly, they are great at chatting with customers, offering tastes, helping you pick out just the right drink for you.
