I can't say enough about Bay State Physical Therapy in Somerset. My son had chronic migraines for…read more2.5 years. We had tried many meds and pretty much everything else with no luck, but he started seeing improvements after just a few visits with Jaime Goss. He went 18 months without a migraine. Completely life changing for a kid who had them non-stop! Unfortunately, my son suffered a serious head injury last Fall, and the hospital suggested PT. They referred him to another, but I wanted Jaime if possible since she helped so much before and I trust her. I emailed to see if she treated his type injury, and she replied within minutes despite us not having seen her in well over a year. She helped tremendously with his balance, pain, and other related issues. My son's brain injury specialist told me recently how impressed she is with Jaime's thoroughness, detailed reports, and the amazing progress my son made in a relatively short time and that she'll be referring patients to her. Jaime is caring, knowledgeable, and thorough, and the office staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Bay State PT!

No feedback is ever given, they just keep having you do the same exercises despite no improvement. No actual measurements checking for progress are done. They are just on automatic. There are so many other places with much better staff. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Day one ....Do you use the TENS machines....oh no we don't do that anymore....why?????? The last day when I left for good I was told tendons and muscles are the same.

They stopped visitors from visiting their loved ones in March (as they should've and I completely agree that this was the right thing to do to protect the elderly so that's not a issue) but somehow Covid-19 still made it's way in in the end of April. It has almost completely wiped out a entire unit, there's 5 patients left (from what I know, could be less by now). One of those residents was my loved one. She was tested positive for Covid-19 and sent down to the Covid-19 unit (rehab part). When she was transferred we called to make sure she had her pace maker machine with her and they said she did not. This machine is suppose to be with her at ALL TIMES. How careless could they be? We call numerous times a day to check in on her and each time we were told something completely different from what the other hours early had said, for example: morning phone call to check on her "she's doing well, she's eating, drinking and seems to be asymptomatic" the next phone call "she's not eating or drinking, has a fever and seems uncomfortable" and this went on for a couple of days. We then got a phone call asking us to choose what funeral home for her but no answer as to WHY?! Is she okay? Is she dying due to Covid-19? Well, no, but it's because she has a "terminal illness" one that she was never actually diagnosed with but did have signs of it for years. So why all of a sudden? Oh, well, you know, they don't know! What?!?! The next day we get a phone call telling us we can stand outside of her window and basically say goodbye to her because she was, indeed, dying due to Covid-19. They say they only allow window visits for those who will be passing away soon. We kept hearing she's asymptomatic but was she really? She passed away three days later. Before Covid-19 my loved one was overall healthy. She was happy, funny, lovable, caring and just the sweetest woman on earth. We, as her family, want answers as to how she and many, many, other residents have caught Covid-19 and have sadly passed away. This is all being hushed, you won't hear about it unless you speak to a loved ones family who (it's being reported only 5 deaths but its more than that) caught Covid-19 and died. This is heartbreaking. I will say the nurses (most) are wonderful. That's probably the only positive about this place. If I could have taken her home during this time (Covid-19) I would've and she would be alive right now. I'll be searching for answers and I will not give up. I came back here to edit because when we called to pick up my grandmother's belongings after she had passed away we only got some of her things! They didn't pack any of her pictures with her stuff, one being a picture of her and my grandfather from their wedding day, a bunch of pictures of her and her great grandchildren, a tv, amongst other things. We had to call to ask them where the stuff is? And we got told "if it's here we'll pack it" and then told to call the administration which, I will say, is completely useless. We did receive the rest of her things a few days later. I also forgot to add that while she was alive this place repeatedly lost her hearing aids and we had to keep buying new ones! If you have a loved one here, get them out as soon as you can! Transfer them to a better place, a more caring place, a place that doesn't just see their patients as dollar signs.

I fell from a horse about 5 years ago on my shoulder and messed it up while rowing on the crew team in high school. I had MRIs done at Yale New Haven Hospital (I'm originally from CT) stating that I had a few things wrong with it (the specifics I'm not entirely sure of). I decided to give this place a chance because they were local and the doctors listed on their website have a lot of experience. First of all, this place has barely any lights inside. It's like walking into a cave! The ladies at the front desk were very polite, however. Then I was taken in to see Dr. Green - easily the most unprofessional doctor I've met in my life. He came into the room without saying a word or introducing himself and shoved his hand in my face looking for a handshake. Then he asked me what was wrong and had me do a series of tests for range of motion and strength. I told him most of them hurt. I gave him the DVD of the MRIs I had and he spent 5 minutes looking at them silently. He said he didn't see anything wrong with my shoulder and asked if I had done physical therapy before, to which I replied yes - and that it had done nothing but make my shoulder hurt more. He told me to go to physical therapy for a month and then come back, wrote something on a piece of paper to give to the girls at the front desk and walked out without saying anything. I decided to go to another doctor for a second opinion. Dr. Green and his practice aren't getting another DIME of my insurance money. Long story short - if you like going to rude doctors who work out of dingy offices, this is the place for you.
