The breaded fish and pork were heavily over-breaded, which felt like an attempt to cover up the quality of the meat underneath. Additionally, the noodles were incredibly soggy, tasting as if they had been sitting in the fridge for a long time before being served. We really wanted to enjoy our meal, but the quality made it impossible to finish.

On a recent trip to Visalia, we got the craving for Chinese food and after searching Yelp we…read morediscovered Chinese Kitchen was one of our best local options. The target customer demographic in this area isn't generally Asian, so we tempered our expectations before dining here. We were impressed by the extensive menu offerings and after some deliberation, we settled on the Dinner for Two which started with a Won Ton Soup and fried shrimp and pot stickers as appetizers. The entree included sizzling rice wor bar, Peking pork and pork fried rice (we substituted for pork chow mein). The restaurant was very traditional in closing the meal out with fortune cookies. Our favorite due to its flavor was the Peking pork, and we also enjoyed the fried shrimp, pot stickers and sizzling rice wor bar. The only misses were the Won Ton Soup (we felt the flavor of the broth was not quite right) and the pork chow mein (it arrived lukewarm and lacking in flavor but it was an improvement after dousing it in chili sauce). Chinese Kitchen doesn't appear to be located in the best neighborhood, but it is easy to tell that this establishment has been around for quite some time. The best part of our dining experience was the service. Our greeter and server welcomed us, took our order and checked in on us multiple times. We also had the opportunity to chat with the owner and she is very welcoming and helpful. If you're in Visalia and have a craving for Chinese cuisine, Chinese Kitchen is as good an option as any!

I got a lunch special which was standard, although bravo at the prep time. The real star for me have been the soups. I am a big fan of wor wonton and they have that with noodles here. The lady who takes orders was extremely accommodating of which veggies I wanted to leave out. I tried the shrimp noodle soup and same story. I am one of those weirdos who eats hot soup on hot days and love it. The menu is deep and I'm sure to find more to enjoy. Adding this one to the rotation.

There's an unspoken law about Asian restaurants: the closer the dining room gets to majority Asian,…read morethe more you can trust the food is authentic. Well, for a Chinese restaurant tucked deep in a white neighborhood, Dynasty Chinese Cuisine breaks this law. Food: 5/5 From our first bite, we could tell everything was made in-house. The crispy potsticker wrapper did not taste like it came frozen from a Bibigo bag, and the egg roll filling tasted fresh. The Black Pepper Beef Skillet came out still sizzling and smoking, and the meat was tender and moist. We also ordered the BBQ Pork Chow Fun, and the noodles had a balanced smoky flavor. The meat was also tender. From our photos, you could see a hefty portion of meat in each dish. This is one of the best Chinese food I've ever had, and for the price point, this place deserves the elusive 5 out of 5. Service: 4.5/5 There appears to be one server manning the floor the majority of the time, but the owner came out to check in on patrons. Both were super friendly and attentive, chatting with us about recommendations and welcoming us to the area. The service was fast. Atmosphere: 4.5/5 This restaurant is a proper casual Chinese restaurant, and the atmosphere reflects that. We did not expect it to be as lively as it was when we came in for lunch at 1:30pm on a weekday. The noise levels and music were not offensive. And the place is incredible clean! The dining floor and bathroom looked well-maintained and clear of any debris. I would recommend this restaurant for a dinner date for one, a family meal, or takeout. Final rating: 4.5/5 (rounding up to 5 on Yelp)

Chicken pad Thai noodles have become a complete addiction, and honestly something that I catch my self say dreaming of at times. Noodle house slays this dish in every category in my opinion. This location in particular is really cool. You don't dine in. It's kind of a hole in the wall, you just knock on a door, someone answers , you order, ten minutes later you're on your way with a mouth that can't help but water due to the incredible aroma which is the legendary Pad Thai. I'd like to thank noodle house for always being so quick, friendly, and convenient. I mean, the serving is huge, the noodles are great, the service is good and fast. I'll be back tomorrow probably, and again and again after that.

Regardless of which side of the political spectrum a business falls on, I really don't enjoy restaurants pushing political content or creating that kind of atmosphere while customers are simply trying to sit down and enjoy a meal.
