With walls painted white and bright lights, this place screams dessert to me. Payment is determined by the weight of your frozen yogurt. You also have the option to gain "loyalty points" if you plan return any time soon. Parking options limit to either by meter or at nearby lot. This is a self-service establishment so you can customize your frozen yogurt anyway you want. There are four yogurt dispensers. I was a little bummed that they didn't have vanilla, though they do change the flavor every so often. When I went there, the options were: -Chocolate (Nonfat) -Birthday Batter -Mango Sunrise (Dairy-Free) -Original Tart (Nonfat) - Watermelon Summer Sorbet (Dairy-Free) I had the Watermelon Swirl, topped with pieces of pineapple, strawberry, and granola. I decided to go for a tropical taste since it was summer. The frozen yogurt was light and fruity like the actual melon. It also had the perfect texture of the yogurt, not too thick or runny. My husband got a Nutella, peanut butter chocolate and "Boston cream." The donuts were mostly disappointing unfortunately. They weren't bad, but nothing that would have me return next time I want a good donut. Two of my three donuts had an odd aftertaste which might have been fryer oil. The only one that was pretty good was the cinnamon sugar, somehow I wasn't getting a strange aftertaste with that one. My husband was pretty disappointed in their idea of a Boston cream. For one, this is not a filled donut, rather they put Bavarian cream in the center of a regular donut. Secondly, the donut was hot, which is not good for the integrity of the filling. The donuts were much smaller than we thought they would be, they were about the size of the palm of my hand. Not a lot for the cost. Also, their site mentions 3% discounts for cash payment, but in person the sign says 4%. The latte was pretty good, but otherwise I don't understand the hype. They were open late, had strong wifi, free tables, a friendly team, a clean space, and delicious food. I asked the woman behind the counter if they allowed tasting and she said no. Since a couple of people in my party already knew what they wanted, they went ahead and ordered while the rest of us continued looking over the flavors. As I looked around the shop, I noticed the man and his daughter each had several sample spoons in their hands. To make sure I wasn't mistaken, I asked him if the employee had given them samples, and he confirmed that she had. The man appeared to be of Latin descent, as was the employee. My party was not. While I can't say for sure why we were treated differently, I was disappointed that we were told samples weren't available when another customer had clearly been allowed to try several flavors. Rather than confront the employee, I paid for the two orders that had already been placed and we left. Had I realized beforehand that samples were being offered to other customers and not us, I would not have placed an order at all. One person in my party ordered one scoop each of passionfruit, black cherry, and mango. After they started eating, they realized the mango scoop was missing from the cup. They did enjoy the passionfruit and black cherry flavors though. The person ordered the cappuccino flavor but did not enjoy it at all. Overall, my experience left me feeling unwelcome and disappointed. The inconsistent treatment between customers, combined with the incorrect order, means I won't be returning.
