The install began with laying out a perimeter feature board, followed by the main deck boards of a contrasting color to make the deck even more beautiful. There were several mitred corners to be dealth with as well as stairs. By the end of the day, the entire deck including stairs was completed. I think we had a 1/2 board left over. The yard was swept so you would have never had known any one was there. Everyone in the crew was friendly and a pleasure to work with. They even allowed our dog, Beans, to oversee the work. My schedule was tight and he did everything to accommodate me sending his guys on a Saturday and they stayed late too! My issue is 90% of everything ended up needing to be repaired afterwards... things were put on wrong /backwards (shower door), messed up my bathroom door where it wouldn't close anymore, did a job with tiles in bathroom and made a decision without consulting with me and I hated the results and told him so I'm stuck with it unless I pay to have it redone. Getting in touch with him and to return was challenging. I was told they would start on a certain date to fix the mistakes.... This is after months and renegotiating when they could come. The reason my ratings aren't lower is because Paulie did send his men to fix the issues (I sent pictures that were undeniable that the work was not up to standards). I decided to push for a week day (which he told me numerous of times it was easier to schedule). 2 men showed up and did a GREAT JOB in fixing the previous issues. So I say do not get work done on the weekends.... It was stressful, they also turned off my dryer or heater without telling me... of course my not knowing I thought it was broken.... The list goes on.... Luckily Paulie caught it when I complained my dryer suddenly stopped working (not realizing his men caused this!)....

The craftmanship that put into the work was extremely well done and was treated like it was their own personal home. We had our fireplace completely remodeled and had electrical done so we could mount our TV. I could not be any happier with how it turned out. Billy was great with his suggestions on what we should do and I am so glad we listened! We plan on using Five Star Finish for our future home remodels. I have to speak on all the 1-star reviews due to the $100 deposit for an in-home evaluation. It was worth EVERY PENNY of the $100 and they deduct it from the services once you use them. The crew started early in the morning and they actually finished by the time the sun was going down they were done. They covered our back deck so it wouldn't be damaged. A few days before the job was to start, Derek told us he made a mistake on the cost of the cedar and the materials would now be double the original price. He also quoted us the job would take one day plus a second day to add cement footers. For some reason the two days turned into five and we were also charged more for labor than quoted. The whole project was more than double the quote. Very disappointed in this contractor.
