After Jerabek rid itself of the horrible Kristie Joiner (rumor is that she is inflicting her horror show on a school in Palm Springs now), the new principal has pulled the Jerabek community together into something wonderful. I hear constant stories of how the kind, intelligent, and hard-working current principal has all stakeholders collaborating well for the sake of the kids. I'm so happy to hear of this success.

He than got up and did the same thing over again. They are very mindful which classroom each child is in depending on their developmental milestones. They will move them up when the child is ready and always are willing to have a conversation about it if a parent feels differently about anything. They are amazing at keeping up with healthcare recommendations, especially enforcing vaccination, which I greatly appreciate in this era. They are very transparent about any infectious outbreaks that are happening so that parents are aware for each individual classroom to be on the lookout for symptoms in their own child. They use dojo to communicate so that we can see pictures and videos of all of the great learning and fun that our children are having as well as to send messages to the parents. They celebrate all of the national and international holidays, which makes this daycare, especially culturally inclusive. I love the diversity of the teachers and the children, building a wonderful social foundation for my children to experience while they have been here from three months all the way through five years of age.

And the teachers throughout the years, Ms. Dianne, Ms. Ginger, Ms. Tammy, Ms. Barbie, Ms. Erin, Ms. Madi, Ms. Christy, Mr. Nick, Ms. Carmen, Ms. Julie, Ms. Paige, Ms. Suko, Ms. Priscilla, and Ms. Parvin have all been incredible. Each one has touched our hearts and made such a difference in our son's life. After all these years, SEA feels like home. There was a fun buddy system when I was there, which was an awesome way to get the older and younger students interacting with each other. Within the constraints of the CA public school curricula, Creekside did a good job at facilitating learning at a suitable level for each student. Some of the rules were unnecessary and classes were a bit big for an elementary school (it's a public school so can't expect too much), but overall loved it here! Fun playgrounds (one for big kids and one for little kids) and a running track that I would run around every day during recess. They also have a pretty sweet ESS for after school care of all those kids of working parents. Good public school, you can trust your kids will get a solid education here!

Of course even more biased because I have been on the PTA here for the last 10 years. Gotta put a plug in for the PTA....but they work hard to make sure our staff and kids get 100% support! Mr. T set high standards for this school and with our new principal Mr. Lee he has even set the bar higher. They have both done an extremely awesome job with the school. We have a lot of activities that we do for the kids from our money making Fall Festival, Spring Jog-a-thon, Family Movie Nights, Family Dance, etc. Casa Mira View across the street is a tremendous assistant financially to our school. Perfect place to live so the kids can walk right across the street. Our PTA supports an awesome art program through Art Corps. This allows the kids to learn 8 fantastic art lessons which we then present at the end of the year at our Art Show. With the support of our PE program headed by Mr. Kaneko the PE also helps fund our Swim Program. Grades 3-5 take part in a twice a week swim program for 6-8 weeks in the Spring. Our 5th graders get a one week full of fun before their promotion in June that 2 of my 3 have the pleasure of enjoying. CHA was one of the few schools diligent enough to get clearance to open. From what I hear, this was no small accomplishment. I was attending with my daughter and her two 8 year olds, having a delightful time, when I happened upon this individual very aggressively, very loudly and very hostilely chastising 5 kids who looked to be 6-7. The tongue-lashing, complete with her jabbing her finger in a child's face while hurling accusations at him,then relentlessly berating the others, was EXTREMELY distressing. I was just a passer-by. I had no skin in this game, though I do know the difference between normal discourse and verbal abuse....It was a very upsetting demonstration of bullying, the very behavior we try to teach kids not to do...........But like a train-wreck, we couldn't take our eyes off the scene, horrified. The kids stood there frozen, seemingly paralyzed with fear, and just taking it (but what could they do?). They were young, stuck and looked terrified. She had an aide with her, so it was shocking to me that between the 2 of them this kind of mistreatment of 5 young kids was they best they could do to control their group. Finally my daughter intervened when it looked like the berating not only showed ZERO signs of abating, but instead was actually ramping up, apparently relishing the tirade she was delivering. This director/owner of the school seemed on a roll she could not or would not stop. I do not write this to attack, but to enlighten parents what might be happening with their kids at this school, with the recommendation that they question their kids about how they are treated and how she makes them feel. Personally, my heart broke for these poor youngsters. NO ONE deserves to be spoken to like that, especially such young, defenseless little children on an outing that was supposed to be fun. I was traumatized just watching. Had my daughter not intervened I suspect she'd STILL be ranting. .

Legacy, it has a great security system in the school, with an easy drop off. The school campus is small and great for little ones . 2 to 3-year-olds and even up I think to 5th. I really love the teaching style that my kids have at Legacy Montessori. my daughter and my son attended for two years and kindergarten through second and 3rd-4th. The school teacher Friday is amazing, subject, including speech, intimate, and our favorite mandarin. this one for us to continue a passion for Mandarin and we still have those in Mandarin and now have a live-in aupair from China. The school snd teachers Teach, kindness, respect, and sharing. Really, many of the things most public schools do not take consideration off. Really, still to this day, I value and love that this school took the time to get to know each family, and each child individually. The teachers are highly qualified, with strong educational backgrounds, and are exceptional at guiding children to respect one another and follow school rules in a nurturing environment. What we love most are the school's Christian-based story time, themed learning topics, and weekly sharing activities, which help build both character and a strong sense of community. Their summer program is one of the most family-friendly we've found--an excellent opportunity for families to experience the school and see if it's a good fit. Over the years, our child has gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and developed solid math and reading skills. We're especially touched by the dedication of the teachers, who gather at 7 a.m. to pray for the students and stay until 6 p.m. to care for them with genuine love and commitment. Every single person that I interacted with, the parents, the teachers, the administration everyone was excellent. I could not think of one negative thing to say about the school. If I am blessed enough to have another child, I would go out of my way to make sure that he/she ends up at Los Pen.
