Although the menu has quite a few unconventional items, I was a little disappointed not to have found basics I was craving -- shrimp toast and shrimp egg rolls. The egg rolls I got were quite thin, but, much more disappointingly, not at all crispy. I ate them in the car to catch them before they got soggy, but was not successful... soft and quite forgettable. MuShu pork was good, but the 'extra pancakes' did not come with extra sauce. (The original 6 pancakes are plenty btw). The sauce (concentrated, dark, not the typical hoisin) did not go a long way and I wished I had more of it as it ran out half way through the dish. The house lo mein was ok, not quite as flavorful as I've had from other places (maybe less msg? lol). Three Cup chicken I was excited to try after seeing it in all reviews was fine, but I think I'll just get general Tso or sesame chicken next. Over all, I think I'll give it another chance -- trying various items -- but so far, I'm not impressed. The dining room looked lovely by the way, but, like I said, I got carry out so can't comment on the service.

Surprisingly when we got there it was empty but it filled up after a while. Our service, however, was not fantastic. Our waiter was not terribly efficient and really didn't come by very often to check on us or give us more water when our glasses were empty. This is really the top Chinese restaurant in the area. However it is also a pricey Chinese restaurant. Though the quality of the food is outstanding and it is nice to come back and have some delicious Chinese food here. I asked if they could make up egg drop wonton soup which is a mixture of both and they were able to do that even though it's not a menu item. It was a huge bowl of soup and very flavorful and four wontons and bigger than most other Chinese restaurant individual soups. I also ordered a seafood bird's nest which had shrimp, scallops, and squid. It had big huge shrimp and lots of seafood and considering it was a premium price it was well worth it because it was chocked full of seafood and lots of vegetables with a delicious sauce. I ended up bringing half of it home. Others that are table had hot and sour soup which like my egg drop wonton soup was a huge bowl with lots of meat and vegetables. All the other dishes at our table looked great and were very big and filling as most took a doggy bag home. Service is the only reason that the review is a downgrade to four Star. On a day when we arrived and there was only one of their table eating we expected our service to be better and it was not. Other than that this is a top Chinese restaurant with delicious food and I highly recommend giving it a try.

The lobster roll is also a 100/10. They source the freshest seafood, including scallops that are truly so fresh and cooked to perfection. I hear they also have great oysters when in stock, will have to try those. In addition to the sushi and seafood, Joey Chiu's egg rolls are hands down the best I have ever had. Truly an iconic staple on the menu. Do not pass on these!! I have been coming here for nearly a decade and know most of the servers by name, the service is impeccable. The ambiance is really great too, the property sits on the deep run tributary and often times you can see the turtle that lives under the bridge. A seat at the bar or by the giant window in the dining room are both great choices! Love this gem, the only note I would add is that they pretty please bring back the Sunday Brunches!!

Despite it being busy due to it being valentines, our servers were very observant and caring! The food: don't get me started... absolute fire spot to go to if you have the munchies is all I'll say. The Peking duck wrap was phenomenal! We ordered the half duck, and it unexpectedly came with this soup. I don't know what magic powder they put in there but it tasted GREAT. It usually isn't a busy place, but I was still surprised we could get a table peak hours of Valentine's Day without a reservation. Absolutely no complaints here ;)

Excellent evening visit to Red Pepper Sichuan!…read more We had some difficult decisions at first because we flipped through the entire menu and didn't see many vegetarian/vegan options. With the help of the server, we were able to select four menu items. These ranged from excellent to very good. The star of the show was Red Pepper's Mapo Tofu. I loved the garlicky and spicy flavors. They meshed well together. I also ordered the Deep Fried Spicy Green Peppers. I was warned by the server that they were really spicy. She wasn't kidding. I'm still working on them days later because I can't eat too many at once. My wife ordered the Mixed Vegetable Dry Pot. This was very good, although there was a spice in it that I wasn't fond of. About every four bites I could taste it. She also ordered the pan fried vegetable dumplings. We loved these. Each dish cost about 15 dollars so we left with a sixtish dollar bill. But the sizes made this seem reasonable as we took some of everything as leftovers. Definitely fans of this place and we will be back.

The first order arrived quickly but with food spillage due to packaging, which I initially attributed to delivery handling. During my most recent order, the Dasher did not follow the delivery instructions despite the correct address being listed. I attempted to contact the Dasher multiple times through the app, searched my building using the delivery photo, and was unable to locate the order. DoorDash then offered the standard resolution options: a refund or a replacement. I selected a replacement because I was hungry and simply wanted the order completed. Shortly after, the restaurant cancelled the replacement order and ended the chat. A brief message from the owner questioned why I reordered, and the conversation was closed before I could respond. I called the restaurant directly to explain the situation. To be fair, the staff I spoke with were polite, apologetic, and professional. However, when the owner contacted me, the conversation became tense. She declined both a replacement and refund and stated that I would need to pay again, despite DoorDash's established process for handling delivery issues. Ultimately, DoorDash resolved the issue and issued a refund. Summary: * DoorDash handled the situation appropriately * Restaurant staff were courteous and understanding * Management's response lacked flexibility and professionalism I recommend using caution when ordering through third-party delivery platforms from this restaurant, and I would consider ordering in person only if comfortable addressing potential issues directly. I share this experience to provide context for future customers and to encourage clearer communication and alignment with delivery partner procedures. (Not a DoorDash issue but an owner/management issue.)
