I wish I could give less than 1 Star. We ordered 2 subs; 1 turkey, 1 Italian. The Italian sub had hardly any meat on it, no lettuce, tomato or onion and it had mayo instead of O & V. The kicker is these two lousy subs cost $61.00. read more

Not worth the price. Sandwich sizes are laughable. Ordered a tuna wrap and cheesesteak and they were extremely tiny. Cheesesteak was served on a round roll which is strange. Local deli which I have been going to for about 20 years. Last few years it has gone downhill big time as orders are often wrong and the sandwiches, which used to be good are quite weak. Ordered a BLT on toast and it came on untoasted bread and NO MAYO, when Mayo was specifically requested. Italian sandwiches used to be good. Last two Italian sandwiches had very little vegetables (one with no onions) and very little meat & cheese. One came with Mayo (blechh!). Prices seem to have gone up, as well. They do have Boar's Head & Thumans products. Just getting some cold cuts from here, now & then. Sad that things have spiraled south. read more

Knocked off a star for depressing customer service by the sandwich making guy. Chicken Tuscan sandwich with peppers and mozzarella was decent. Bf got a BLT with crisp bacon which was also decent. Woman was nice and offered to help us while we waited for the sandwich even though we were not in need. I liked that. Different selection of chips I thought it was neat. I opted for some kettle cooked jalapeño chips and it was delicious. Went very well with my sandwich. I wanted to return today for a second time for maybe a Reuben or taylor ham sandwich because I have never had those before but unfortunately did not have time. Ordered 3 italian subs. 1 had barely any ham on it when the other 2 were fine with ham however none of the subs had oil or vinegar or spice on them and it when it was specifically asked for. Needed to pick up a quick bite before hitting the golf course nearby and found this gem! This deli makes some pretty delicious sandwiches. I'm fairly picky about my Italian sandwich but I was really impressed by it. Everything from the really thin-sliced meat (not chewy at all) to the bread (really soft) to the oil & vinegar was spot on. I was almost tempted to buy another sandwich after I golfed to take home with me. My only small gripe was that an 8" sub was $9. I thought the price was a bit expensive considering they're not putting in homemade mozzarella or any other high-quality ingredients. Taking into account the fact that this deli was in the middle of nowhere, I expected it to be cheaper. For $9, you can get a huge Italian sub (with homemade mozzarella) in a popular deli near where I live. But other than that, if I return to this golf course, I know where I'm stopping by. read more

Great selection of sandwiches. Build your own or select one of their proprietary choices. I loved their bread. Light and a perfect accompanyment to their sandwiches. They might make the best Taylor Ham, egg and cheese around. Piled high with Taylor Ham on that excellent roll. It had better be good at the price. Yeah, all of their prices are on the high side, but they don't skimp on the meat and other fillings so they are worth the extra few bucks. The staff generally isn't very friendly. This is a great local deli in Oak Ridge/Jefferson, NJ. All sandwiches are fresh made, large and tasty. What sets this deli apart from other local delis is the fact they make their bread homemade in the store. The bread is always soft and fresh. No matter if breakfast, lunch or dinner, bread is fresh. The lack of full stars is due to the prices. Slightly higher as compared to other delis in the area, but its worth the extra $1 or $2. Check these guys out. read more

You know that saying " I'm not mad at you..I"m just disappointed" That is the best way to describe how I feel about this place. Let me preface this by saying the first experience I had here less then 4 days before todays stop was excellent. I mean I know it's just a deli but it's open 24 hours and they boast about how excellent their sandwiches are, and I hope so for almost $8.00 a sandwich. It was very busy and multiple people were ordering sandwiches and all of the counter people were weighing out the cold cuts for the sandwiches and they were all making them uniform. It is very hard to find a decent sandwich up here and it was so good that my fiance and I decided it would be our new go to for sandwiches, abandoning our original much closer spot in Franklin. Everyone was pleasant, everything was organized and no one was left unattended. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Unfortunately today I had one of the most terrible experiences I have ever had attempting to order food. My fiance and I ordered two of the same specialty sandwiches that we had ordered the first day we went there, with very small alterations, that being no lettuce and vinegar instead of mayo on one of them. First off, it took the counter girl, I believe her name was Samantha, 25 minutes to make these two sandwiches. They were not hot sandwiches, just a salami sandwich with fresh mozzarella and red roasted peppers. I do not know what she was doing for 25 minutes but when we got the sandwiches we immediately opened them up to see three slices of salami, where a few days prior there was at least 6 ounces.. so I really truly do not know why this took her 25 minutes.. but regardless we told her that the other day the sandwiches were very different and that the meat had been weighed out. The other counter lady stepped in apologizing up and down and immediately started remaking our sandwiches. The original girl failed to tell this other woman about the no lettuce and no mayo and virtually stood around useless while the other guy that was there "working" kept ignoring customers and aimlessly walking outside quite obviously trying to avoid work. The only one who was actually working was the woman who I overheard had actually been at work at her other job prior to this one since 4 am. Needless to say when she handed me the sandwiches I thanked her, she apologized again and I walked out to the car, faithful that they were correct. I was wrong. I went inside again, told her, and she went on again to apologizing up and down and went on to make the THIRD attempt at my very simple sandwich. I literally spent an HOUR in this DELI and did not get as much as an I'm sorry from the original girl, nor did she make any attempt to learn the correct way to make their sandwiches.. The employees there today as opposed to our first visit were either entirely untrained and not cut out for working face to face with people or were totally slacking off. I understand that it is just a deli, but I am a faithful believer in any job that you do, no matter what it is, you should do your absolute best at. so $24, probably 1-2 pounds of wasted salami and fresh mozzarella and an HOUR later I was able to leave this establishment. I wasn't even hungry anymore at this point and I still haven't even finished the sandwich. Needless to say, I don't know where the owners are or who hired these people but the only one there who is remotely equipped to do her job was the woman who stepped in and took over and tried to remedy the situation. The entire time I was there customers were totally ignored, piling up around the store and a few walked in, waited , and ended up just walking out because no one even acknowledged them even though the other two employees there were completely capable of helping them. If I were the owner I would definitely want to know that something like this went on, especially on such a busy traffic day as Black Friday. As quickly as we were ready to become regulars there, they lost our business entirely. read more

Great Sandwiches, maybe the best breakfast sandwich in the areas. Great Bread, home made and top shelf. However, for me the service is annoying, four visits in the past month all about the same. It appears to be the people in charged that are poor customer service people but I cant tell. Not very good at order taking organization and too many people looking at the grill while bacon cooks. High price. I can get over the price with a good product which they do have. Last time in I ordered two sandwiches - Bacon Egg Cheese, hard roll. I had my cash ready and took $7 out of my pocket. The guy said $12. I went to another Deli down the street the next week and it was $6-and change for the same order. BUT, Ding Dong had a much better sandwich so again just expect higher price for better food. Their bacon is fresh, nice stuff. Watch out for them contaminating your food without gloves after working the register / handling cash, especially the younger ladies that work there on Sunday afternoons.
