On this seat configuration, the (power) bimini rear legs rest on the wall frame, but do not latch or hook to the wall. The result is that the bimini legs bounce when trailering or boating through waves. During the ride home, the bimini bounced all around causing damage to the boat. The dealer, Heath's Marine in Linden, MI, will not take phone calls to help resolve issues. He does somewhat respond to emails and forwarded my requests to Manitou for replacement parts. After a few months, I have received and installed most of the damaged parts. However, neither Manitou nor Heath's Harbor is interested in resolving the design issue to the bimini rear legs. It wouldn't be difficult to imitate how every other pontoon boat manufacturer secures these legs to the wall frame. Manitou twice sent me replacment bimini legs identical to the original ones, or replacement pads for the legs to rest on. However, they will not address the unsecured legs bouncing on the boat. They suggesting I use the power bimini's motor to hold down the legs, which doesn't do the trick. Also, the bimini is built to not fold down. Therefore I can not get my boat under low bridges while boating, nor can I get it to fit decently under the boat lift canopy. Again, this could be an easy fix for Manitou with a slight change to the design. - and they could easily make and send parts to retro fit the boat. I have other issues with the dealer and boat performance as well. For example, the dealer did a terrible job setting up the boat but not screwing down the some of the seats, interior lights and other seats were screwed in crooked. As for the performance of the boat, the turning radius is horrible as compared to other boats I drove - Bennington, Bentley, Crest, Harris. I am not sure if it's a design flaw, poor outboard motor paring for my boat, or an outboard motor installation issue.

Soo, I tied another dealer, and they were afraid of it because they had never mounted such a Moter, and they weren't a Yamaha dealer. I expanded my search and found Grand Point marina, let me tell you what, these guys are phenomenal, absolutely wonderful They ordered a bracket with no questions asked, when it came in, they shared photos with me to confirm it was the correct one. I took the boat in, and they didn't lie they had never seen this trolling motor before, but they were confident they could meet the challenge, and man did they. I could not have asked for cleaner install; it is pretty damn perfect. I live 40 minutes away I won't take my boat Anyware else these guys are stuck with me. But I did call numerous times no one ever told me it would cost me 10.00 to park on top of the 35 45 bucks to canoe for two elderly adventurous people, just glad to be getting out to do something active for a change on a limited income. We both have bad knees, can't run handicap sticker in our car that is 20 years old (kind of lucky to have even made it)! Be sure to bring water as there is none available on site. Although I believe there are a few water fountains at Lansing Marketplace just adjacent to where the landing is. You sign a waiver, get your life vest, and head down to the water. You jump in your kayak, staff pushes you into the grand river, and you're off. You can opt to paddle upstream which is a great workout or you can float your way downstream whichever you prefer. Overall, cool little place to come and partake in outdoor activities. The grand river water is murky, and not the cleanest looking. However, do not let that deter you from having a good time.

When we arrived, the woman selling the tickets was genuinely friendly and interested in our dog. I love that this is a dog-friendly activity and that always gets extra bonus points with me. She asked our dog's name and answered all our questions and when we saw her hours later walking around the town she called out to our dog by name and said hello. It was very sweet and just one example of the warm welcoming spirit of this city. The cruise itself was very calm and slow. Just a smooth ride down the Cass River and back. There's lots of time to take in the scenery and you learn a lot. The gentleman narrating our tour was knowledgeable and had a great voice on the microphone. I actually thought it was a recording for the first few minutes, but he introduced himself and explained that his son was the boat captain. He shared the history of Frankenmuth and the surrounding area and when he tells you the popcorn they sell on board is the best you'll ever have, he's not lying. The popcorn was the surprise star of this cruise! For only $2 you get this bag of fresh salty delicious popcorn and they actually encourage you to toss some to the ducks on the river. It was really fun watching them Rush up to the boat and watching the children laughing and enjoying themselves. I love popcorn though so unfortunately the ducks had to share with me because it was definitely the best $2 popcorn I've ever had! This is a must if you're in Frankenmuth and I'm so glad we got to experience it. We had such a nice time that we bought some souvenirs on our way off the boat, including a little Captain's hat for my husband to match the one we had for our pup already. I don't want to hear other people's children "playing" or whatever it is they do that's so loud. I don't want to vie for space on the sand bar. I don't want to hear other people's music, or see them dancing. You get the point, I'm not into the social scene that can be typical of Michigan lakes. You might be saying "why don't you get your own lake then you anti social jerk?". Well, that's basically what Orchard Lake is. It's amazing. There is literally like, no one on this lake 99% of the time. If you're lucky enough to be able to boat during the weekdays, you can often be the ONLY person on the water. You could totally lay out nude and no one would even be around to see you. The busy weekends don't really seem busy, and I have yet to feel crowded or annoyed. It's silent, peacful, serene and relaxing. Perfect. This is a VERY clean lake, and I believe it's the second or third largest in Oakland County. The water is clear and sparkling in most areas except for the very deepest parts. There is only seaweed in a few spots but these are not the chill areas and are easy to avoid. I love the variety of wildlife that can be seen on this lake including egrets, swallows, hawks, ducks, swans and lots of cute little fish that seem happy to hang out by the humans. The sandbar is spotless, probaly due to the "no drinking" poloicy that we, of course, follow to a T. LOL. The no drinking policy is most likely what keeps this lake fairly empty, and it works for me.
