I graduated from MSU but never went to Jenison Field House while I was there. Nate and I got…read moretickets to the women's gymnastics meet against OSU and I really liked the experience. For this event, tickets were general admission with plenty of great seating on the upper level benches. They had concessions available (no alcohol though) so we got a pop in a cool souvenir cup, as well as some snacks. Prices were pretty reasonable for concessions. The venue (gymnasium?) is a little older but it didn't feel run down. The bathrooms were clean and employees were friendly. The meet itself was so much fun with tons of energy and super talented athletes. I'd love to come back for future gymnastics events here. Note that there is no designated parking for this venue, we just parked in one of the downtown lots and walked. It's about a half mile from Grand River.

There are 10 different trees of various species dedicated to the students who passed away during the school year. Each tree has a dedicated marker with the student names on them. A lasting tribute to the Spartans lost, Spartan's forever!

After a few of the delicious fresh baked rolls, I had the Chili glazed salmon. I told the waiter it was so good I would write a review. If you like a bit of a zing with the spices, you'll enjoy this meal. Great veggies and sticky rice too. Wish we had room for a hummer for dessert! Wait staff in Halloween costumes was a plus. Always a pleasant dining experience in One of Hemmingways old hangouts. Don't forget to sign up for a frequent flier card.

I wanted to know if I was going to be charged again when I can back an hour later. I was surprised by the hesitation the staff had at letting me back in at 1:50. After all I. Had paid for service until 3:00. They let me back in at 1:50 without payment . They told me next time I would have to pay. I had paid for service from noon to 3:00 but because I left for a doc appointment it canceled the remaining time I had paid for. I would not be allowed back in with out a 2nd payment next time Does this sound like an intelligent staff? I don't think so. To be fair I am a failed bus driver so maybe I don't get it. After all the customer is never right. And it was 500 cents that was the issue. I will say I really like the pickle ball players. Staff seems a bit dimwitted. I think Matt C. is a beast on Yelp, and I enjoy with most of his posts; however, when IM West…read morepopped up on the recent reviews screen, I had to chime in. If entry here is free, then I've been scammed out of $80 a semester over the past 18 months. I thought this would be a convenient workout spot on my way to and from Bogue Street from west-campus. I was a member from Summer 2011 - last semester. I finally wised up last semester, ate the fee and went elsewhere. Pros: 1. Decent equipment (if in working order) Cons: in no particular order 1. They are charging graduate students for access (maybe they charge everyone?) 2. The water fountains were not in working order for close to 3 months this past year and were not working during my last visit in September 2012...how is that acceptable? Seriously? How do you allow that to happen? 3. The men's locker-room usually smells like the urinals. 4. The lavatory and shower facilities are very outdated. Most urinals do not flush. If someone is dropping a biscuit, the emanation violates your face no matter where you are...there is no escape. That is harrowing. 5. This place is a flipping zoo during peak hours. I understand that comes with the territory, but this place is on a whole-nutha-level. I felt like I was in a mosh-pit battling my way to from station to station. The dumb-bell section during peak hours is like a BART platform after a Raiders game.

While it is not the greatest in terms of up-to-date facilities, it does have enough amenities to allow for a decent workout, especially on cold days. Entry to the facility is free for students, faculty, and staff. This allows for usage of the courts & field. However, usage of the pools and gym costs extra. Keep in mind, this is actually on MSU's campus (in East Lansing), but for some reason the Yelp map places it in Lansing.... map fail!
