I'm always greeted pleasantly by someone at the salon as soon as I walk in, and Jocelyn is always so warm and kind. The atmosphere is cool but still welcoming. I decided to try this salon out today as it is close to my home. I truly wish I had not. The…read morehairstylist I had was very nice and kind, but likely new either to the salon or to hairdressing. The hairstylist beside her basically instructed her what to do and then blamed her for choosing the wrong product. My roots ended up yellow, despite sitting in the chair for five long hours. I received condescending comments from both the owner and the other stylists such as, "the ends of your hair were gold anyway, now it will match better," (lie) and, "I don't know why you girls need to have platinum hair anyway," (um, because I like it), and "next time don't wait so long to get your roots done because it makes it harder to match it" (what?!). I had to wait up front to pay and was not offered a discount. My hair was still very yellow and I had to go to another salon to have it fixed. I received no apologies, rather accusations by the other women. However, I could see that my stylist was unhappy, I could see she was upset, and I appreciate that she did not say anything rude or try to make excuses. I honestly blame the atmosphere of this salon and the condescending behaviour of the senior staff and manager.
