Overall the quality of the food is good, the prices are reasonable and staff are attentive and friendly. My only issue with Mondo is that the quality can vary, and the vegetarian options are limited to 2 pizzas and one pasta (main courses). Since changing to Mondo I have visited twice and ordered the Penne Arriabiata each time. The first visit the sauce coated the pasta and was tasty with a slight heat. The second ( more recent visit) the sauce was too spicy ( in my opinion) which killed the subtle flavour and as it was a drier consistency which did not coat the pasta. Friends and family members who have visited have liked the quality and despite my concerns I'd visit again.

It's a sleek looking restaurant, with neutral colours and at least 200 wine bottles all over the room. There was only one waiter on and one chef, possibly Stefano, and as soon as we went in, menus were presented to us. As most lunch menus are, I expected this one to be quite limited and I wasn't wrong. In the end Colin went for the Soup of the Day which was minestrone, and spaghetti carbonara as his main. I chose chicken liver pâté to start, and the Fish of the Day as my main, which was lemon sole. The food came out briskly and when we needed drinks we got them. The food was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The fish was wonderfully cooked and Colin enjoyed his carbonara, but couldn't finish as it was quite filling. They were happy enough to give us it away though (and I may or may not be munching it as I type this...) All in all a good meal to be had in here! At lunchtimes there is a buffet option which I find quite good value as you can fill your plate as many times as you want - they usually have pizzas, pastas and salads on offer. The children all love the ice cream factory - in fact most seem more interested in the ice cream than the pizza, but who can blame them? I find the pizzas always very tasty and quite good value in here and am also pleased that they have recently introduced more pasta options too.

The staff are always happy to help and one member of staff remembered us even though we had only been once before about a month ago! I was quite impressed as this is a busy restaurant at weekends. There is a pub next door to the restaurant which has nice atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks.

Took the family here yesterday as we have been to other restaurants in the chain…read more I ordered the rissoto and my wife had a salad everything was great until I found a hair I my food. As I didn't want to make a scene I politely asked the manager to remove both our meals from the bill as this had ruined our meal which to start off with he refused until he came back later and had changed his mind. Really poor experience and this has now put me off eating out for a while. Everyone do yourselves a favour and stay away if you want to stay fit and healthy.
