Give this girl a pay rise, as staff like that deserve it:) this is a real review, and I'll post receipt too to show how cheap:)

The layout has changed a lot over the years, but mostly cosmetic changes, but the menu hasn't varied much. The main reason for our visit is the buffet, for a freshly made pizza and a decent choice (vegetarians should look for the green handles). There's even a salad bar to add your own toppings or to have as a starter/side. They also have a Pepsi drinks dispenser where you can choose your own flavour of Pepsi, 7Up, tango etc (or if your adventurous try mixing the flavours) and I think they still have an ice creme machine for kids. For work lunches it's great as you don't have to wait around, just grab a plate, a glass and get stuck in. Staff have changed a lot over the years but they are usually professional and accommodating even if you have people in your party that are a bit more picky.

Great places and terrible places get reviews but when things are mediocre people usually think meh. What can I say I'm doing my bit for mediocrity everywhere. I come here semi regularly when taking my elderly aunt to the cinema. Please feel free to recommend me for a knighthood to Queenie. Every time I come here I always get a perfectly acceptable pizza and perfectly acceptable service. The pizza is in no way authentic and generally a tad on the greasy side however it tastes good. Now I know neither of these are particularly new or groundbreaking but being able to half and half on your topping is great when sharing with someone fussy. Also being able to get medium stuffed crust is also awsome, because well you just can't ever have too much cheese right? Generally 2 drinks 1 medium stuffed crust pizza and two bowls of unlimited salad bar (free with a man meal) £16.00 quid you can't complain too much. Salad bar borderline basic but again like everything else perfectly acceptable. All is all, I don't rush here, I don't look forward to eating here; but I never regret eating here either. It's the paradigm of mediocrity.

Santini's is attached to Matilda's Patisserie to the extent that there's actually an opening between the two which was closed off when I was there because Santina's was open but Matilda's was not. The decorations are basic, with seating being clearly an afterthought to the main focus of takeaway. That in itself isn't a main flaw, but note that even if you eat there it's just eating takeaway in the restaurant rather than a sit down experience. The menu does have a large variety of toppings and I went with the Stornaway, which has black pudding, bacon, and a soft egg. The daily deal provided me with free fries or potato wedges, so I chose the wedges. My hopes at this point were still high as I went on a short walk while the food was being prepared. It didn't take long after coming back for the pizza and wedges to arrive. The pizza was uncut, but that was quickly remedied. I'll start with the good. The wedges were nice and fresh and came with a side of sour cream. I wouldn't say it's my favourite combo but it is nice to get something different than the usual ketchup or bbq sauce. The pizza did really look impressive, with a nice covering of black pudding and the egg had a nicely runny yolk. The sauce was nice and tart with a good taste of basil. And this is where the sad begins. The crust just isn't really good. It's bready but without an actual thicker in any way crust outside. It's all equally flat all around. It's not offensively bad, but it's just sort of bland. Sadly, without a good crust the pizza experience loses a lot. Maybe it works well for someone else, but I don't really feel compelled to go back. The service was very fast and polite, but it's not enough to make me want to go back. The hope is that they can tweak the recipe but it just doesn't work right now.

I was immediately cheered up by the prices and thought the choices were pretty good. You also have a good selection of extras. Delivery time was quicker than expected and the driver was extremely cheery and friendly. The pizza was piping hot and fresh. The dough was delicious -just the way I like it, bubbly and chewy. I would have preferred to have more tomato base and less cheese so I could see everything but it didn't mean that it was too greasy. We had the meat feast topping and think the meat wasn't of the best quality (maybe that's why it had a cloak of cheese!) so, I think I'd try other, less processed toppings that would give me a fresher flavour. Not exactly Mamma Mia, more like Mamma Cas, but that ain't so bad!
