Very excited to see this new addition to our side of town!!! I decided to wait a bit before visiting, to give them time to work out theirs kinks. Very modernized, not your typical chinese restaurant. I called to do a take out order, just to test the water. As others had mentioned it is pricier than your regular dim sum locations. You normally get: four har gao, siu mai per order - 3 here. three char siu bai - 2 here. three beancurd roll - 2 here. All averaging about $6.50 an order. The har gao is pretty big compared to other dim sum locations. They also use sturdier take out boxes/containers vs. the cheap styrofoam ones. I guess that makes up for the price? Eveything came out delicious, except for the tripe. It had zero flavor. Depends how you view it. I don't mind paying a little more. They get kudo points for being on this side of town AND they speak Cantonese!!!! read more

SOOO GOOOD! I think we ordered almost half the menu because it all sounded delicious. Most of our dishes where really delicious, even though I didn't know what half of them where! if you ever go, please do yourself a favor and order the sesame fried ball. It's absolutely the perfect way to end your meal. I only wished the menu had pictures or actual descriptions. I almost had to Google every dish before we ordered. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of dim sum here. I live in CA and have made over 40 trips to China and have a relatively high standard so I wasn't expecting that much from dim sum in Orlando. But Dim Sum Sum delivered. My son and I tried ten different ones and enjoyed the shrimp dumplings, tofu skin wrapped pork & shrimp, and others. The only one we thought was below our expectations was the shrimp rolled in rice wraps since the wraps were a little thick. read more

This was my second time here (my first time was just ok) but I'm glad I gave it a second chance. my brother and I visited the day after Lunar New Year, had a fantastic time. We have both visited Hong Kong and also love Toronto style Chinese food, and this place did many dishes well. The har gau didn't disappoint (we each ordered our own steam basket;) and our server, was incredibly enthusiastic to help us order the best dishes that suited our palette. We grew up enjoying chow fun, and they made sure to help make the dish vegetarian so we could enjoy it sans meat. I would love to see dim dim sum add some dishes that were just veggies, such as bok choy or Chinese greens. The jasmine tea was a delight to wash down all of the delicious small bites. I'm super glad there's more culinary variety popping up on the west side of orlando. read more

It is literally the best day ever when you are eating a variety of your dim sum dishes with a pot of hot tea. This place lives up to that feeling and is my go-to spot in Orlando. They have so many options that it is simply hard to choose and the majority of them are pretty good. In fact, the only thing I probably would not order again are the mango custard buns but the gold and green tea custard lava buns are truly divine! Their dumplings are delicious! Additionally, the staff here is so kind and prepare the dishes quickly. The restaurant itself is clean and beautiful. Best dim sum of Orlando, no question!! I have been to this place twice now and it keeps getting better with every bite. Both times I have been in, I was promptly seated and quickly attended to. If you don't see anything on the menu, or if you have questions, please ask, the staff will promptly help you. Be sure to ask for the house special fried rice, possibly the best I've had!! The fried "footballs" are one of the best dim sum items they have on the menu. I suggests you order everything and have family style, as the rice is plenty for 2+. Their food are kind of hit or miss. We come here when we have late dim sum cravings, since other places stop dim sum at 2 or 3pm. Their service is great, the wait staffs are very good at checking your hot tea, refill water, and clearing empty dishes. The tofu skin wrap was tough and the filling inside barely had fillings, it's just some meat, no bamboo shoots and black fungus like other places. The fried shrimp balls were really greasy. Rest of the food were ok. Their food isn't very salty so it's nice but missing flavors. read more

It's a nice modern restaurant with an expansive menu of dim sum. The dimsum turns up piping hot and full of flavor. Staff were efficient and when they weren't busy pleasantly chatty. Highly recommended for food, service and ambiance read more

Some good eats that are definitely the legacy of Chans off of 50. They are in fact the same owners but they decided to start up in the windermere area. Naturally rent is likely higher so prices here reflect that. Food quality was good. Service was good. Prices were a bit high but overall still a good experience. I do like how close it is to where I live. Probably will come back again. read more

The was very interesting place. Was not sure I was going to enjoy this place but to my dismay it was one of the best Asian food experience I have ever had. Yan, our server was very patient and understanding. She took her time to guide us on the menu. Her suggestions were on point. We had beef and shrimp rolls with very good. I usually don't wet dough items but these were very good, especially the sauce. The bbq beef buns were sweet and savory. The dumplings flavorful, the were filled nicely and not a lot of air, very tasty. The dessert egg tart was like nothing I had ever envisioned. It sweet and silky. The crust was flaky. I've been missing Southeast Asian dim sum hot spots like Tim Ho Wan, din tai Fung and the like, as there seems to have been a severe shortage of these sorts of spots around Central Florida. If you have popped up but typically don't last long. But this place checked all of my boxes and fulfilled my craving. When you walk in You will be greeted by carts full of steamed bamboo baskets. Awaiting you to make quick choices but you'll also be tempted with smells from the plates the tables around you have ordered. The portions were a very generous size for a dim sum restaurant and I feel the pricing was fair. I feel that we may never get an inexpensive dim sum restaurant like you can find all over Hong Kong or Taiwan, but this place is likely as close as we will get. read more

I'm rating, food, service and ambiance. Heads up this is not a push cart dim sum place. They offered the traditional items and other limited choices on the menu. The food tasted authentic. Came out hot and normal wait time. Items were very pricey. Each item we ordered was at least $15-$20 per order. Larger size order than dim sum. Smaller size to eat family style. The flavor is what made us say, "okay for this price, okay. " for the price of what we ordered at other places you'd get a good serving size for $18. Here, not so much. We ordered totaling $53 +/- -chow fun -congee for the baby -steamed rice wrapped in lotus leaf - fried donut wrapped in rice paper with sauce We wanted to order more but didn't want to pay these prices. The service was very nice and accommodating. Clean and lots of seating inside and out. Great and friendly staff. read more

Absolutely love the food! This is my second time going to the restaurant when in Orlando!! We went with the dim sum list and ordered a different variety of items (probably more than 6 different items - didn't get any pictures with the others as I realized we finished the food before we could take a picture ). It has definitely made my go-to place list whenever I'm in town. Pictures definitely don't do the food justice! read more

Food - Coming from out of state I really enjoyed this place with my family. We ordered off the cart and items off their menu like roast duck and chow fun. Would highly recommend both. Dim sum was good too. Service - They mainly communicated with my mother since her Canto and Mando is much better than mine. We came in 30 minutes after they opened and they were still making items we wanted and apologized but the fact it was communicated to us, we really appreciated. They checked on us often. Ambiance - This is probably the most nice dim sum place we've been too. It's smaller than what I'm use to but I much prefer this over many dim sum spots I've been to. Would definitely come again and highly recommend to others. read more

This may just be a no for me. It's the first time I've tried dim sum and it just didn't do it for me. I love most Asian food with a passion but this was just a no. The textures were just all over the place. Too mushy to straight up slimy. My son gets dim sum all the time and he said it was just okay. He said the pastries were too thick and there was not a lot of filling in the meat filled ones. Don't want to pan this place entirely because I have nothing to compare it to but I won't be trying dim sum again any time soon. read more

It was an early afternoon after a theme park morning. My chinese stomach craving for some good dim sum but tired ass didn't want to drive to downtown to explore. We still haven't found a good stable dim sum place in Orlando yet. Don't make me tell the horror stories! This place is only 20 mins from Magic Kingdom, through a big straight street. Perfect! Except we missed our turn, which turns the short journey to more like 45 mins. Our bad. We'll listen to the GPS next time... The plaza has a decent size parking lot. With the many business here, I am not sure if it's always easy to find parking. It was no problem for us. Restaurant is modern and clean. Staff seem to speak the language, which is a HUGE plus sign in terms of authenticity. I wasn't too hungry and ordered 3 things, porridge with pork and egg, shuai mai, and shrimp steamed rice roll. Then we took the food home, yet again not paying attention to the GPS and got on the wrong turn...Maybe our Ba Zi is not very compatible with this place lol The journey home took another 45 mins. By the time I sat down I am hungry and more tired. The food amazingly were still hot. Porridge is the perfect temp to eat. It has a great authentic texture and the right flavor. It could be better but only if you go to SGV to some mom and pop shop that you will find sth top this. So i am satisfied. The other two items are good as well. This place definitely passed my chinese stomach test and get a pass to go back. read more

Overall - Good dim sum, you'll leave full. Food - We orders lots if buns and shared a family entree. My favorite morsel was the steamed dumpling it was just flat out good. My second favorite was the sweet Mexican custard bun, it was fluffy and flavorful and not too sweet. The green tea custard bun was also pretty good but it was stuck to the paper wrapper. The roast duck meat bun was good with a little sauce and some shredded vegetables. The general Tso's chicken was nice and crispy but I was not a big fan of the sauce used, it was generic. Service - Our server was nice and spunky, ok in all ways. Location - This restaurant is located Windermere at the Grove, a convenient location in the plaza and there is plenty of parking. Ambiance - This is a nice and simply decorated restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a water feature against the back wall. read more

It's great that Windermere finally has a dim sum restaurant! It's located in the Grove Plaza which is a very prime location with ample parking. The food was pretty good but also expensive. There are other dim sum restaurants on Mills or on Colonial that have better bang for your buck. The location does contribute to the pricing and again, it's nice to finally have Dim Sum on the Windermere side of town. Do note that they have some items not on their menu so always ask if you have a dish in particular that you were looking for that's not on their menu! read more

Small modern dim sum shop, we were lucky to snag the big table for the 10 of us without a wait even on a Saturday! It's much pricier than I am used to PLUS each dish comes with fewer pieces than the places in LA, but I will admit the food is pretty good FAVORITES ---sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf (only 1 per order but it comes with char siu inside which is unique) ---chive dumplings ---har gow (shrimp dumpling) ---shu mai ---green tea custard bun (didn't taste like green tea but the custard filling was yummy) ---not a menu item but I was a fan of their CHILI OIL for dipping (you can also ask for hot mustard if you prefer) NOTE: they offer Chinese broccoli but it is not on the menu (not sure how many other items are off menu so I would ask if you're curious). read more

Well hello to my new favorite dim sum place. We decided to give them a try around lunch time on a Saturday and there was no wait. A sever came over to us immediately and food was on the table a minute or two later. The service was on point! They came around with the carts quite often so you didn't feel like you had to track anyone down. A few other people mentioned that they thought it was pricey but I thought it was comparable to the dim sum we've had in downtown Orlando. We ordered the squid ink shrimp dumplings which were surprisingly flavorful. The honey glazed roast pork was also really good and quite big. We also ordered the sticky rice, beef siu mai, beef dumplings and pork buns. The pork buns were good but could have used a little more filling. We were stuffed but I really wanted to try the egg custard tarts which were warm and fresh. They were VERY flaky and I looked like a hot mess eating them. They had so many other dishes that we wanted to try so we will definitely be back! Overall, the service was fantastic and the food was high quality. Can't wait to go back. read more

So fresh. So tasty. So flavorful. I can't wait to go back. I had the beef curry with special sauce. I had noodles instead of rice. It was the highlight of my meal. It was labeled as an appetizer but it's a very large portion. The shrimp dumplings were amazing. Don't let the squid ink intimidate you. It's just used for dye. Went outside of my comfort zone and got the short ribs. I'm glad I did. This place was honestly a gem. So happy I found it on my drive home. read more

So Dim Dim Sum is in their soft open phase. I believe today was day 2. Very limited menu on hand. This is basically Chans 2. BUT, smaller and pricier. No carts since the layout is TINY. I ordered Beef Chow Fun, Fried Sesame Ball with Red Bean Paste, Sticky Rice, Shu Mai, Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce, Cucumbers with Minced Garlic and Baked Roast Pork Bun. They didn't have the Soup Dumplins available yet which I was irritated. All in all, I was pleased. The taste for me was pretty good. Better then the other Dim Sum place on Colonial that opened up a few weeks ago. The portion size has shrunk. From 4 pieces to 3. From 3 to 2 and from 2 to 1. My wife is a Cantonese Chinese and finding great dim sum is a challenge for us. Well Dim Dim Sum met the challenge. Fresh tasting, piping hot dim sum served in a beautiful restaurant and by a charming server. Every dish was great but I will mention the chicken feet and Chinese broccoli as being really stand out. Can't wait to go back, it's only 180 mile drive! read more

The place was beautiful! So nicely decorated and the staff with a smile from the moment we came in to the moment we came out. We went for my nephews birthday and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Now for the even better part... the food! The food was incredible every dish we ordered seemed to be getting better and better when they came out. The duck to me was perfection! Been here a few times so I feel like service will not get better. The food is decent but service is TERRIBLE. There are several other Dim Sum restaurants in Orlando that are much better. DON'T BOTHER GOING IF YOU DON'T HAVE LARGE PARTY. They can't be bothered by small tables and are too busy running around for a half empty restaurant. No one greets you when you walk in, and they just expect people to stand around and wait. The dining room is never full, partly because they have terrible table set up where majority of the tables are for large parties or for two. I've had fried dumplings before, but never tried a soup dumpling. The orange chicken came with broccoli; my husband requested rice as well. The fried dumplings (with dipping sauce) arrived at the same time, followed by the (steamed) soup dumplings and some shredded ginger. Everything was very tasty. We brought some of it back to the hotel. The menu is extensive, so choosing what to try may be difficult. If you order soup dumplings, prepare yourself for them to burst, especially if you don't grab them from the top and consume them in a single bite. Lesson learned!
