Ordered Roses for Valentine's Day. They are not in the best shape. When I called, the owner answered. I wanted to inform him about his product. I wasn't looking for anything else. I can't believe how rude he was. He offered to pick them back up and if HE THINKS they are bad he will let me know. He wouldn't except a picture and wouldn't guarantee giving me good ones. He tried to compare the owner of where I work to him, which was uncalled for. The owner where I work would never treat a customer the way he did! Kindness goes a long way. Very sad. read more

I have received many floral gifts in my lifetime. This one is the most exquisite arrangement I have ever seen. Thank you to my wonderful friends and to the incredibly talented florist who designed this arrangement. I am enclosing three pictures from different angles to highlight the brilliant colors and the artistic genius of Dylan's florist! read more

Have been ordering and receiving beautiful flowers from Dillon's for almost 20 years. I received a large order of roses from them of this past Valentine's Day and the roses died off in a couple days. I called them up to let them know. They apologized profusely and within 2 hours I had fresh roses and a card apologizing for the issue with the flowers. It is rare to find a business that stands behind their work like Dillon's does. read more

Dillon's Florist - Gorgeous arrangement from Dillon's Florist! - Florists Near Me - Milford, Connecticut

Don't order from this place. I ordered a premium arrangement from them for my friend. I was sent a picture of it and it looked nothing like the picture. It was sparse and skimpy. I was very embarrassed so I called and spoke to the owner who kept interrupting me and told me off. He was yelling at me and hung up on me. read more

I NEVER write such negative reviews but this place needs to wake up! You're loosing a lot of customers and just lost my family and friends! My friend ordered me an arrangement for my recovery from surgery. They came yesterday and I thought they were pretty and sent a picture to her to thank her. She noticed they were not what she ordered at all. She was so upset that they substituted carnations for roses! I have to say the picture showed many different flowers than I received, especially for the price she paid. She called them yesterday and they agreed to switch out the bouquets today. What they are going to do with the day old flowers, I have no idea. But the reason I am writing this review is because of how rude and disrespectful the delivery man was. When I opened the door all he said was "You weren't satisfied with your first arrangement??" And he was dead serious and it came off so rude. He just snickered and literally grabbed the old arrangement from my hands and left! What horrible customer service!we hired Dillion's 2 years ago for my father's funeral flowers and they messed that up as well. That's why for the last 2 years, 2 funerals, graduations, proms and a wedding, we used a different florist. Today's interaction completely makes me happy with the families decision to NEVER use them again. Better off going to a grocery store. read more

Beautiful Bouquets. had them done for my wedding and had a mini bouquet done for my 2 year old daughter that matched mine and my husband and 1 year old had matching pin on flowers (cannot remember the name of that for the life of me haha.) they were delivered to my house and came in a great box that made sure they were secure. we only wanted little bouquets in general and he did a beautiful job. so experienced and did a great job. read more

I ordered a beautiful floral arrangement with bright yellow pink and purple flowers for a friend. It was delivered on time but looked Nothing like what I ordered. It was filled with white flowers. Baby's breath , red and purple flowers. Looked like the used whatever they had left over from other arrangements. I would never have ordered that. I will not shop there again. read more

In August of 2018, when my dad passed away, we ordered flowers from Dillon's for the first time. Bar none, the flowers were fantastic, just gorgeous, and this week I ordered an arrangement again for a funeral and I have to say again, the flowers were fantastic, just gorgeous!!!! I dealt directly with Patrick Dillon and he was beyond patient, helpful, and delivered on his promise that we would get a nice sized arrangement and it would be delivered in a timely manner. Way to go Dillon's!!! I will recommend you everywhere and to everyone!!!! read more

Newly moved to town. Have used Dillons 3 times now. Excellent quality arrangements that have lasted over a week with high level flowers and great customer service. Will keep coming back. read more

My family received a flower arrangement from a family member out of town just over a week ago. After only 4 days more than half of the arrangement was dead or dying. When we called the florist to complain they offered us a replacement. It came with less of the more expensive flowers and more filler. I might have been okay with this. But these photos are from the new arrangement, only 4 days old. Notice on the white daisy the cut stems where they cut off the flowers that were already bad before they put them in the arrangement. The Lily should last more than 4 days. The Roses should last much more than four days. Know what you're getting people. Do not use the florist on Main Street Stratford that has a second location on Boston Ave and a third location in Milford. I only gave them 1 star for replacing the order. Oh, and PS? They have been known to take reusable hardgoods out of graveyard trash. Just saying. read more

My favorite Aunt died right before Thanksgiving weekend. Her service was to be held on Friday. The day after Thanksgiving. I'm in California! I called late Wednesday and was given the number where Mr. Dillon could be reached, he was leaving but said I could call at 7:00am (4:00am PST) on Thanksgiving Day and he would make sure I was taken care of. He also gave me his cell if the time difference was too difficult. I had special requests on a major holiday with very little notice and he was very calm and reassuring that everything would be perfect and he'd make it beautiful. My sister took pictures. It was even more lovely than the example on his website, as he said it would be. He was kind and professional and kept to his word and I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Dillon's Florist. read more

I sent flowers from Dillon's to a friend who had recently had surgery. I am always a bit hesitant ordering flowers from out-of-town because I have been burned badly before doing so but I spoke with the owner and he assured me that the arrangement would be great. He was absolutely correct. The arrangement was stunning upon arrival (see first picture) and is still stunning 5 days later (second picture). And my friend and her family love them! Thanks so much, Dillons! read more

We are recently the grandparents of a lovely baby girl and a friend referred us to Dillon's. Despite the covid situation, John, the owner gave us personal attention and created a memorable display that was the envy of everyone. We have since adopted Dillon's in Milford as our go to florist. We have referred several people to them and all have commented about their pleasure with them. I highly recommended them and their quality can't be beat. read more

BAIT & SWITCH SCAM BEWARE !! Absolutely worst service I ordered a flower arrangement for my mom on her birthday it was supposed to be an english tea cup & saucer with flowers in it. When it came she sent me a pic it was in a a coffee mug. Absolutely tacky and NOT what i paid for. Owner ignored several emails by me until i called and then he pretended he never got them. He promised to replace the order that was over 6 months ago, he never did. Don't trust this florist shop if you need something sent and you haven't hand picked it your self. Bait & Switch SCAM is being done here read more

I attempted to buy bouquets for an event for a tax-exempt organization. I was told by the proprietor that he could not honor our tax exempt status and that if we paid by credit card we would need to pay more because he had to pay a fee. My daughter sent me a beautiful floral arrangement in a vase for my birthday. I had not heard of Dillon Florist although I live in Milford. There were hydrangeas, Bells of Ireland, roses, and a few other flowers that look so familiar but I can't put my finger on their names. I did take a photo of the flowers and wanted to post it with my review but I don't see how to do it. I'll gladly post it if you send directions. Thank you Dillon's Florist. read more

I stopped by the shop unannounced on a Saturday morning to order an arrangement for my brother-in-law's wake after getting the name of the florist from the funeral home website. The gentleman I spoke to was absolutely wonderful - patient and knowledgeable and kind. After an offhand comment about how the deceased always wore Hawaiian shirts, he suggested using tropical flowers instead of traditional funeral flowers. I left feeling so hopeful for a beautiful arrangement and he did not disappoint. It was vibrant and bright and captured everything I had shared about my brother-in-law. Even two days after the service, the flowers still looked fresh and perfect for the burial. I never do reviews but felt this deserved a shout out. I highly recommend Dillon's Florist and would not hesitate to return!! read more

I placed my order from NY for my daughters bridal shower in Connecticut sight unseen, dealt with Mr. Dillon...they requested I send photos of exactly what I wanted. Bad bad bad business! I (in north carolina) just ordered flowers online to be delivered to my mom in Milford - that's 'local' to the store as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sending them out of town. The website says FREE* delivery (* Free local delivery is available for local online orders only. For orders being sent outside of our local delivery zone, a delivery fee based on the recipient's address will be calculated during checkout.). It charged me $10 so I called and asked why. The very rude man said that FREE is within a 5 mile radius of the store and Google maps calculates. How was I to know that? Turns out she's 6.2 miles away from the store but that's irrelevant. I asked if he sees my order, he rudely said "yup its right in front of me" so I just laughed and told him to cancel it & credit my card back. His silence said "I dont give a sh*t about you or your business" Not once during the 60 second conversation did he attempt to apologize for the misleading stipulation online or say it'll be worth it or done soon. He made no effort to be polite or even say goodbye, he just hung up on me. That's bad business, man. Ill pay the extra $10 to Beechwood any day! read more

Great services great flowers.. walked in and was a little skeptical because he asked what I wanted to spend but when I got the finished product it was well worth the price i paid. FALSE REVIEWS! Do not believe their reviews as I did!! These people both Milford and Strafford stores do not fulfill their promise that your floral arrangement will be what was agreed on. We had a very special occasion for a very special family member and the flowers delivered were NOTHING like what was ordered. Looked like it was rushed putting it together with leaves literally STUFFED into bottom of glass vase! It was not cheap either. As we knew it would not be exactly like the photo it wasn't even close! BATE AND SWITCH! Father DILLON(Stratford store) and son JOHN DILLON(Milford store) were so rude were not willing to be reasonable .John promised a refund and after trying to reach him to no avail and almost a month later , No refund. We finally contacted his father and he was also very rude and said no refund and just hung the phone! Please take our word for it, these are NOT people you want to do business with. read more
