I stop into Fleurescent every once in a while when I am in downtown Milford to pick up some fresh flowers or a small gift. There is always something creative to be found in this tiny flower shop. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful with choosing just the right amount of flowers within your budget. I received a wonderful bouquet for Valentines Day that is filling our beach house with a lovely fragrance from the tiny roses that were included along with Gerber daisies, hydrangeas and edible flowers. Have always been very happy with everything I have gotten from the shop. I am very disappointed with their lack of concern over an arrangement I received last Tuesday evening from friends congratulating me on our son's Graduation, and within two days it was completely dead. I have left three messages, spoke to two different women who were NO HELP! Both said they would have the owner get back to me. I recently got married in mid-September at a golf course and had Fleurescent arrange the bride's, bridal party's bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony design and table where the escort cards go. After sharing inspirational photos to Elizabeth, she immediately understood my vision and went right with it. I trusted her and her team in bringing me the most gorgeous arrangements and they did not disappoint! Since the wedding was in the beginning of fall, we weren't sure if pumpkins were in season, but Elizabeth went above and beyond making sure we had white pumpkins in our centerpieces. Elizabeth Wecker is AMAZING! She did the best job with our flowers for our wedding in May 2011. I have never seen such fresh flowers and full arrangements before. She was a great value too, much more reasonable than other prices that we were quoted when we were looking for a florist. All of our centerpieces were exquisite, and Elizabeth was such a wonderful person to work with; she helped us with visualizing what we wanted to achieve, and such a genuinely nice and responsive person! DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR. My co-worker and I had a horrible experience after she placed an order for a floral arrangement from The Downtown Flower Shop in Milford, Ct. She ordered flowers and also paid a delivery charge to have the flowers delivered. They refused to deliver the flowers, she had to literally go pick them up and deliver them herself and when she asked for her money back for the delivery charge that she paid for they refused and told her they added a few more flowers to make up for it and never asked her if that would be ok with her first. I would recommend using another florist who has better customer service. read more
