I'm not normally a regular Dillard's shopper. But I happened to mention to a friend (a fellow Yelp Elite) that I was looking for a new dress for an occasion, and she suggested this Dillard's store. We were in the area of the Wellington Mall today, so I decided to stop by. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I've been to several other stores recently -- including Macy's and Nordstrom's Rack and a couple others -- and this Dillard's turned out to have the most selection of dressy dresses of any of the stores I've already visited. I was able to browse at my leisure. The dresses were grouped together which was a big advantage. And I actually found six different dresses to try on. Unfortunately, I didn't fall in love with any of them, so I didn't buy anything. However, I felt this trip here was more than worthwhile. I'm narrowing down what I like and what I don't in all the options available. Prices here were quite good, too. There was a variety of price ranges, but nothing was outrageous. I always find something I like in this store. Their sales are awesome as well as they carry things no one else has. My favorites Johnny WAS, Eileen fisher, Tommy Bahama, evening wear and beach wear, spf clothing and so much more. They have a great home department too. read more

This was the first time I was in this particular Dillard's. The ladies in the shoe department were great - they were helpful and friendly. I bought one pair and ordered a second! They had great sales. The lady in the lingerie department wasn't as helpful. She answered our questions but she was on her phone and somewhat uninterested in us - - such a shame. The mall was actually hopping on that day so I was pleasantly surprised to see so many people there. Parking is plentiful and the store is very neat, clean and welcoming. read more

Went to Dillard's today to get a dress for my daughter's wedding. What an incredible choice of dresses! And they weren't all size 2-8! I wear a 16, plenty of choices. The girls working in the department were phenomenal! So helpful w zippers, getting different sizes, offering opinions. I was so pleased! We were at David's Bridal earlier, small selection & no help at all. This was 10 times better! read more

I always say it and I'll say it again-I love their dress dept! Not much else but they do have a variety of dresses for great prices! I highly recommend going here. The dress dept is downstairs. All kinds of dresses-short, long, all different lengths in between! They also have a good make up dept. I don't love the other depts but I feel they are trying to being more stylish these days. I had such a great shopping experience here. For some reason I thought Dillard's closed their stores, regardless, I am glad this location is open. First off, the store is in great condition. The ladies room was very clean, the racks of clothes were organized and their wall displays were nicely done. I was greeted in each and every department that I walked into and the sales ladies were more than helpful. They were personable, knowledgeable and very kind. This is now my favorite department store. I am not someone who loves to shop, in fact, I do most of my shopping online and I like it that way. Moving forward, if I need to try on clothes and put together outfits then I would 100% come here. They have a large selection of business casual pieces that can be mixed and matched to create different looks and they had quite a few blazers, which are hard to find; nice ones anyway. Prices were not inexpensive, but I am a big believer that you get what you pay for. They carry many different brands including my favorite, Michael Kors. I didn't have time to look at the shoes & purses because I was on a mission to find a few new outfits. I quickly walked through the housewares department and thank goodness I didn't have time to linger, as it is very, very nice. Lots of good stuff that I could see myself buying. I looked at their website and I like it, maybe just a little to much. They are running some great holiday sales now, and who doesn't love a great deal, right? So far this season I have been to Saks, Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Nordstrom's, and now Dillards. The only thing that separates Dillards from all the others is that they have put up their Christmas decorations that read Merry Christmas. I was so happy to see that. The other stores are still going with the politically correct happy holidays or nothing at all. One store didn't even have any decorations put up and I inquired about it and was told they didn't have the staff to put them up. Lame. I'm not really a Dillards shopper, but they do have a Ralph Lauren section which I like and they also have plenty of clothes that fit me. So maybe I'll give this place year ago. Their staff is certainly friendly and again I appreciate their Merry Christmas signs. read more

While Dillard's department stores are not in every mall in Florida, they are nicely scattered around the state. They have a few clearance locations as well other than some department store locations. For the latest merchandise, Wellington location does a good job. They have every department: accessories, clothing, jewelry, men's, women's, children, cosmetics, shoes and more. My favorite sections to shop from are shoes and cosmetics. These areas have great customer service and are nicely stocked. The shoe department always has the greatest season's shoes. When they have Dillard's sales for the season or holidays, that's the best time to shop for the best value. Side Note- Strict policy: Dillard's return policy is within 30 days. Dillard's in the Wellington mall is one of the better Locations in South Florida. Compared to the Dillard's in the Boynton mall this one is a first class location with excellent inventory and staff. Just like most of the big stores in the Wellington mall this one has to levels with women's on the ground floor and the rest of the stuff including men's on the second floor. The men's section has a lot of variety and I usually find some excellent deals which you can't find at Macy's or JCpennys. On my most recent visit Eugene was very helpful and as we went right around closing time he was able to check us out without hesitation as they were preparing to close the store for the night. Excellent customer service along with great stuff available in one location. read more

The only really adult department store in the western communities. Great selection and helpful customer service. That being said, I have assert here that those disgruntled customers who posted negative reviews obviously tried "pulling one over" on this store. IF you purchase a garment, wear it to a party or dinner event, it is YOURS and you have no right returning it to the store. They can't resell it. Maybe you should try consignment stores instead. read more

Terrible terrible store. I bought shoes here and only wore them to one event because within 10 minutes my feet were hurting and within 15 they were cut and bruised. I understand if you do not want to take back a shoe in terrible condition, but I barely I wore it as I literally took it back the next day because I had to buy another pair of shoes to wear. Terrible store and franchise, I don't recommend anyone shopping at this low quality, overpriced store. If I could give no stars to this store I would. The employees here are completely unreasonable. I went in to return new and unused dress and the employees were just absolutely nasty! Not to mention the snotty manager, whose name is Sue, who was downright rude. She did not want to hear me out and shot down everything I had to say. Kept telling me she "couldn't understand what I was saying" when I spoke very clearly to her. Not sure if it was just because I am Latina or if she believes she is more superior to me. Completely laughed at me and walked away without one last look. I'm still very upset I was not only not given a refund on the dress that was in great condition, but I was humiliated by the staff working at Dillard's. Definitely will not buy from this store again and I'd advise others not to as well. read more

My family and I lost our grandmother this past Sunday unexpectedly. We were having the worst week leading up to her funeral, nothing was going right. We had no luck finding the colors we needed for our attire. Store after store, we just couldn't fine what we were looking for. Until we went into Dillards. The first night, we met Sam in the men's department. He greeted us with a smile and went over and beyond to find what my father needed. Sam even shook my father's hand and shared his deepest condolences. He was so polite and so professional. That same night, Cecilia helped my sister and I until it was closing time. Even though we did not find what we were looking for, she asked us our sizes and the colors, "look" we wanted, she even gave us her cell number. She told us she would have some dresses put to the side for us and to call her when we were on our way. The next day, My sister had the pleasure of meeting Nita. She went over and beyond in helping my sister find her son his attire. She was such a sweetheart. We texted Cecilia that we were headed her direction, like she said, she had dresses waiting for us in the waiting room. She even asked me to sit down and she would run my transaction for me. Cecilia knew that I had a fractured foot and that I was exhausted from all the walking and standing. She was amazing. These employees made a long lasted impression on our hearts when we needed it most, their compassion, their kindness, their efforts had our hearts at ease. "Once you have experienced excellence you will never again be content with mediocrity " We will forever be grateful for them, you have made us Dillards customers forever. Sam, Nita and Cecilia.... Yesterday, I went to Dillard's with my mother just checking around to see if there were any deals. An employee who was an old, white lady, had glasses on, with shoulder length brown or dark blond hair, saw us just shopping/ looking around. Mind you, she was all the way at a cash register. All of a sudden she comes a few feet behind us and asks if we need any help, I say no. Tell me why she decides to stay there and basically stare us down until we left that area. No, she was not blatantly rude, but it was such an uncomfortable feeling for an employee to basically be a few feet behind us watching us. Almost felt like racially profiling to me. Wish I looked at her name tag so that I could put her name here. But please, managers or supervisors of this store, let your employees know that when a customer says they don't need help, adhere to their command and walk away. read more

For a Chicago gal, Dillards is THE holy grail. Growing up in the midwest, Dillards was always 'where it was AT.' But, now in the big city of Chicago you best be buyin' fashion at Macy's. Don't get me wrong, Macy's is great and all...but nothing trumps Dillards when it comes to sale prices or labels. This Dillards was no exception! While they are currently under some sort of renovation in the middle part of the store (cosmetics, perhaps?) other departments are open in full force. I came in one night with a vengeance and had 28 minutes to knock out some die hard shopping. Two associates really went out of their way to help me find a banging dress for an event the next day. In the ladies department, after scooping up about 40 items, the clerk was continually taking things I didn't want out of my room so I could focus in like a laser beam. Once I was able to find 'the one,' I moved on to the jewelry department where the lovely lady there pulled about 4 pairs of earrings before I could bat my eyes. Heaven forbid me having another 12 minutes--otherwise the staff here would have had matching shoes and make up rang up on my charge card. Now THAT'S service! read more

My husband and I MUST commend Charlotte in the women's department and especially Matthew in the men's department for helping us pick out outfits for our daughters wedding. They went above and beyond exemplary customer service. Matthew even found us upstairs in men's shoes to help us coordinate. I am so happy to have discovered Dillard's. Sales associate MADDY in the dress department worked with me until I found the ideal dress for a special occasion. Almost every sale associate in the dress department helped with their opinion and accessories, but it was Maddy that walked the floor with me, determined to find the perfect dress. For dress shopping I recommend Dillard's and Maddy, but if she isn't available, feel confident to have any of the sales associates help you. I rarely shop at Dillard's. However, I initially went to Nordstrom to look at shoes and the consultants were too busy talking to assist me. So I wandered over to Dillard's and the sales associate in the shoe department was extremely helpful! She assisted me with trying on several pairs of shoes. Her service was wonderful.
