I don't frequent Dillard's stores often. The store has lots of high end designer shoes, purses, and clothing. Great quality. Fair prices. The day I visited, there was only one salesperson in the shoe department. Overall I would recommend. read more

December 18,2023 , I drove one hour to go to Dillard's to purchase some black boots. I have been buying shoes there for many years. Wendy is the shoe department was rude once before , so when I saw her again I looked for someone else to help me. Unfortunately, There was only one person working in the shoe department. I picked up the boots and asked for my size. Her face and attitude changed and she replied again that I had to order shoes on line. I told her that the last time this happened I drove to Short Pump and brought two pairs. I left and told another clerk how bad I felt. She told me to tell their boss. I left the store and drove to Short Pump ! I got everything at Short Pump without any drama.All this happened at 11:20 am. I will just go to Short Pump from now on. I have never experienced where a service worker gets hostile with you for providing poor customer service. But I guess that's the world we live in. This white male associate thought I wasn't important to service. Instead they never greeted me, was on their phone the whole time while on the sales floor. I even saw he speak to a elderly white lady and asked her if she needed anything. Yet I had been there a few minutes before her. Even after seeing me he still did not approach me. I decide to go to the other end where the mens shoes were to get assistance. The associate at the time I did not know was a manager. She stated employee was on the other end and I informed the manager that I haven't been able to get help. She goes to approach the associate and they jump in my face as if they wanted to attack me. The manager a minority woman could not even handle his belligerent behavior and had to ask him to leave the sales floor several times. Instead he walks over to women in fragrance and starts gossiping about me when I clearly did nothing wrong to the man, but want service to try on sandals. At that point I wanted to buy nothing and report this issue. Where is it ever okay to get hostile in the work place toward a patron who isn't even being violent towards you or even speaking to you in aggressive manner? Tell me what would've Dillards done if this associate had physically harmed me ? Because I clearly felt threaten. It's not like I cursed at him or was even being aggressive. He simply felt entitled to intimidate me for sharing my experience with a manager and however that manager spoke to him he felt the need to Jump up in my personal space as if that was okay. Like who does the hiring here ? I have never experienced such service in my life. He assumed I was by myself and if I wanted to react to the unjust behavior I could've done so. But the next time one of your employees ever violates or harasses me again it will be a lawsuit. And I won't hesitate to stand my ground. Hope you take this as a warning to teach your employees about professionalism and sensitivity training. read more

I had a great experience with Beth Taghizadeh at the Perfume Counter. I bought my son some Jean Paul Gaultier for his birthday, she helped me pick b/t that and another. I paid and walked around smelling women's perfumes- I don't like to shop but I love scents. She was wonderful and even made a sample of a perfume for me and let me try a discontinued one I'd been dying to try for years. Her demeanor was no nonsense and experienced. She was really good with scent. I love that kind energy! I'll definitely be using there to buy instead of online and ask for her (ie. tell my husband to). read more

Who doesn't love a department store that's a one stop shop?! I came into Dillard's and found some great gifts for my friend's bridal shower! I went upstairs on the escalator and had my purchase gift wrapped for $6. Seems a little high, I know, but in this hectic world, well worth it to this busy bee! Saved me much time and energy! Done! About a year ago, I shopped here for Black Friday, and I was super surprised that it wasn't overly crowded! The sales staff was superb and efficient. The prices were out of this world! I picked up some make-up, footwear, glasses (reader sunglasses!), jeans, dress shirts for my hubby ($100 shirts for $15!), jackets, jewelry (Betsy Johnson pieces were dirt cheap!), gloves, scarves (North Face scarf was a steal!), and more! It's the only store I went to that day, I usually don't partake in BF, but I'm glad I did - it was fun, and I saved a bundle! Tip: the lounges upstairs by the children's department are always so clean and seldom used!! read more

Dillard's what a great store when they have their Extra % off sale . Today it was only an extra 30% but still got some good deals . My go to sales people are Joy in Houseware , Joe in lady's apparel and Nellie in intimate apparel. These ladies are so very helpful and happy to be at work. They give great customer service and go the extra mile . My shopping experience is so much better because of their assistance . I do love a sale and when Dillard's has one you can get some really nice things at adorable prices . Do remember if things are 65% off it's a 3 day return. They put a yellow sticker on every purchase so you don't need your receipt but I keep mine anyway. (Just Incase ) The store is always clean and organized well . Never junkie or out of sorts . The restrooms are upstairs in the kids department . They are maintained as well. read more

I wish I could give this department store less than a one star... I went here not too long ago and was racially profiled. I spend thousands of dollars with This store and had two white women following me in the dressing room as I was gonna go to try on a few items. I spoke to the fat ass store manager and as I was explaining what his employees did... the look on his face held no regret to what I experienced. I have canceled my credit card with dillards and would like to warn people of color shopping here. read more

I'm between 3&4 stars on this one, I had been at 4 until I saw the basement of the store, seemed old and a bit out dated. The dresses I tried on, although beautiful were ill taken care of, Stitching coming out and excessive amounts of bead loss... Sadly, the sales woman was no help. She offered little to no expertise in dress finding/fitting than a hard of sight drunk person. (And casually (or not so) asked my husband and I not to have sex in their fitting rooms, while he was zipping up my dresses.) I'd shop here again, only for my generic easy to buy items but other than that. No thanks. read more

Beth the Manager in the fragrance department was fabulous! She was very patient and took her time helping me find the perfect scents. She paid attention to what I liked and disliked and made some very smart recommendations which led me to several new favorite smell good. I had a great time! If you go ask about the traveler refillable perfume travel containers they are wonderful and you can add your favorite scent to take with you instead of collecting a bunch of sample sizes. read more

I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! I went to Dillard's yesterday to look for a dress for my cousins wedding. I am a plus size woman so options can be limited when going to certain stores. I was greeted with several smiling faces and a woman directed me where to go for the women's department. I took the escalator upstairs and found a few dresses, tried them on and decided that I didn't favor them so I put them back and proceeded to walk to the escalator to leave. I ran into the woman that directed me to the department just before I reached the escalator and she persuaded me to try one more area before I left. We walked to the department and the woman asked the cashier up to what size did her area carry, the cashier informed her the size, which is the size that I wear and the woman proceeded to show me to the dresses and before I could even take one step the cashier said "No she won't fit the dresses in my section! When I informed you of the largest size I only meant I had 2 dresses of that size. She will have to go to the bigger department. No way she'll fit the dresses over here. She rambled about it for at least 15 seconds (Mind you, she was ringing up a couple and had several people behind them. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, and stormed out of the store in tears. I finally got my self together to go back in to speak with a manager. I asked a cosmetic specialist by the name of Leigh where it was located and she directed me to customer service where I spoke with a manager. The manager apologized several times for the cashiers behavior and assured me that she will be speaking to the worker. Everyone but that cashier handled themselves in a friendly, professional manner but I simply will not go into that store again because of the embarrassing experience that I encountered yesterday. read more

I came here the other day and was looking at the purses while I was waiting for my film to start. I needed a new purse for work since my interim purse was pretty tragic. A woman was hanging out by the door handing out fliers for some sort of promotion and apparently I looked a bit too shlubby for the worker since she immediately fled in the opposite direction as quickly as her feet could take her. I didn't look bad, I had on some nice jeans and a t-shirt and I looked better than some of the other people in the shopping center as a whole. I'm not sure why she treated me like I was some anathema that crawled out of the gutter. I was thinking about getting a cute purse from this store, but I'd rather go to a place that didn't judge based on appearances. read more

I went here to get a bathing suit and the women at the cashier was so nice! She was this sweet old lady who complimented me on my suit choice. She talked to my brother Aiden for a bit and all I can say is- Amazing service, nice employee's, and great clothes. If you need to go shopping go to Dillard's! read more

I occasionally stop by Dillard's for dress and casual clothing. Dillards has a good selection of brands for customers. The prices are reasonable compared to other department stores. I don't shop Dillard's but my son said go in and find an outfit as his treat. Cool beans! I walk in and am totally lost. I enter thru the door on the lingerie side and walk past several cosmetic counters but only greeted by one employee. I wondered around the store passing several employees and never asked if I needed any help. By the time I found the women's section I was amazed by the cute plus size jeans and saw an employee restocking and 2 behind the counter but again not one asked me if I needed help. I left the area frustrated that customer service has died. I left the store but re-entered the store and asked the young lady for a manager that I could speak to. She asked if she help and I told of my experience as a 1st time customer to Dillard's and not helped by not one employee. She called someone but a manager was not available to speak to me. I described the employee in each section I walked in and she knew by the description I was telling the truth. She provided me with a manager number to call back the next morning and apologized for my experience. I must say the employee Montoya was the bright light to a dim experience. I don't see how this store is in business if they ain't trying to service the customer. read more

CLINIQUE here is worthless!!! My mother and I stopped by because of bonus time. I needed foundation and face wash and my mother wanted to treat herself to a whole new skin care regiment to update her look to match her new job. When we inquired about a makeover an employee with short brown hair and purple eye shadow told us, "we don't do make overs during bonus time. I could do a quick one but would have to stop if any clients stop by.".... I'm sorry but what are we??? Are we not trying to be clients??? Never once have I been denied a make over during bonus time!! She never once inquired as to what exactly we wanted or needed or how much product we were willing to buy. Clearly they have no interest in making money. I will be taking my business across town to a different Dillard's Clinique counter! read more

Think crickets .... store is dead empty, even on weekends, which sounds great because there are some great finds without a lot of competition...However .... be prepared to look like the road runner to the eyes of Wiley Coyote-esque sales personnel. Good GRIEF, I have never been so hounded / harrassed in a dept. store in my entire adult life. They hovered around babbling nonsensical nothings the entire time I was trying to really dig in to the racks and find the best things..and never tired of trying to rush me off to a dressing room (as if I could not POSSIBLY find them on my own). They are simply starved, and end up coming off like beggars, pleading for a sale. To boot, I made a very small return on a recent trip, only to have the Coyote salesperson ask 'if I smoked, because I smelled just like her ex-husband.' Freakin' priceless. I do like the merch at Dillards, actually far better than Macy's, but the sales tactics are just offensive and make it not worth the trip. I am done with it. read more
