Highly recommend Dillard's RE-TRAIN their shoe police (Jessica). Ms. Jessica is actually a shoe's sales person who works for commission and had she let me know that upfront then my interaction with her could have been pleasant vs absolutely horrible. The way Jessica approached me today, I'd swear she was the Shoe Police. Today, I went to Dillard's to buy my niece a dress and shoes. There were a nice pair of shoes in the dress area, however my niece couldn't fit them so we went to the Shoe Department. After browsing, we picked out 3 pair of shoes and as we were discussing them and getting ready to head back to where the dress was so we could purchase our items, we hear someone ask us if we needed a price check. We both looked at this young lady (Jessica) a little confused on why she asked if we needed a price check and I said No, thank you, and she said okay well I can check you out here. And I tell her no, thank you, I'm going to check out in another department because someone is holding a dress for me. Jessica then tells me that I can't do that and I was like "What?"...and she tells me again, that I can't do that. Now I am getting a little upset and I ask her why, and she tells me shoes don't leave the shoe department and they are purchased in the shoe department. Now I am getting pist, as I let her know that there were a pair of shoes in the dress department and we would have purchased them however they were the wrong size. Jessica then tells me that they shouldn't have been there, however, some customers take them. I told her to listen to what she said to me..they shouldn't...Not that they couldn't and then I let her know that I am offended and she says "I don't understand why you would be offended". HMMMMM, let me think about this...I'm trying to buy 3 pair of shoes, and not only are you giving me a hard time, you are basically holding me as a Shoe Department hostage...giving me two choices...pay for the shoes here, or leave the shoes. HMMMM, my niece really liked the shoes, so I decided to purchase them from Jessica the Shoe Police. Then I go back to the Dress Department to purchase the dress. After having a conversation (in the Dress Department) with a salary employee and a manager, I find out that Ms. Jessica the Shoe Police could have walked her behind over the the Dress Department and punched in her code (to get credit for the sale) instead of wasting my time and making me feel like an untrusted/unvalued customer. read more
