I'm always given time to browse without being bothered, which makes me feel comfortable. This store has been clean and organized, any time I've stopped in. I've purchased several items that were perfect for little gifts for my neighbor and myself, and we have always been delighted to display the little yard items that I bought here. The prices are decent for brand name items…read more We visited the story yesterday - myself, my daughter, and her friend that accompanied us on a short vacation to the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area. My experience yesterday was something out of the ordinary. I have never experienced anything like it in South Florida when I've shopped at TJ Maxx. I won't put details here but I can tell you that it was very disappointing. I definitely took the opportunity to write about it in the survey that they sent me via email with my receipt. The experience upset me so much that I contemplated making my daughter and her friend return the purchases that we made yesterday but I opted not to do so. The girls were oblivious to the experience, two giddy teenage girls that were just happy to be out shopping for the day while on vacation. I picked out a few items, but the purpose of our trip was for them to shop and while I was trailing and waiting on them. While waiting, I had time to observe what was happening while we were in the store and it was not a comfortable experience.

I love Target because no matter where I go in the country the stores have basically the same layout so I can get in and out quickly if I need to. Grab what I need and head out. Kind of funny thing happened today. I owed $19.95 and I needed to break a hundred dollar bill so I gave the cashier a hundred and he was getting my change, he didn't have any nickels. He was going to break the roll of nickels to give me my 5¢ then changed his mind, put the nickel roll back and gave me 5 pennies. It struck me as funny.

To me it is my money and the items I hand pick are in good condition and items I will use. My point was proven when I had trusted this Target and received an item in less than acceptable condition. The fact that it was a "personal care" item, just made me upset. So upset, that it went straight into the dumpster. This item, I later found out, was "repackaged" and on "clearance". The original package was opened, torn and discolored, the contents was also discolored. This should have never happened. I did not order a "clearance item", and I should have received exactly what I ordered... a product in good and clean condition. Customer service did nothing to resolve this. Not even a simple apology. Charged full price for a "clearance item" that I did not order, nor would I ever order any personal care item in that condition. I still have target gift cards that I can only use for target purchases, unfortunately, but I'll make sure once the balances are spent, I won't purchasing with Target again.
