The young man working the register (late 20s to early 30s, blonde hair) had a sarcastic approach to customer service, constantly rolling his eyes and making subtle belittling remarks toward customers. It created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere for everyone in line. Hopefully, he's in a good mood if you happen to go there, but personally, I'll be choosing the other Dollar Tree in Navarre moving forward.

If they had not wasted 25 minutes of my life the comedy of errors might have been funny. My experience yesterday was something out of the ordinary. I have never experienced anything like it in South Florida when I've shopped at TJ Maxx. I won't put details here but I can tell you that it was very disappointing. I definitely took the opportunity to write about it in the survey that they sent me via email with my receipt. The experience upset me so much that I contemplated making my daughter and her friend return the purchases that we made yesterday but I opted not to do so. The girls were oblivious to the experience, two giddy teenage girls that were just happy to be out shopping for the day while on vacation. I picked out a few items, but the purpose of our trip was for them to shop and while I was trailing and waiting on them. While waiting, I had time to observe what was happening while we were in the store and it was not a comfortable experience.

I used the gift card once and purchased $4.01 worth of items (before price change from $1) and there was a $5.99 balance left on card. I stuck the card in my wallet and forgot about it, and then stumbled across it one day! I was really excited (silly, I know). So I went and tried to use the balance, and they had updated the register system and it would not recognize the card. I tried 3 different store. There is no expiration on the card. So I called customer service, was given a "Ticket number" for my case, and was told it would be reviewed and a new card with the balance would be mailed. It never happened. Soooo, my review is to never buy Gift Cards from Dollar Tree. I Still like the store.

The way I saw it, this manager did NOT care about what we customers were thinking. I don't remember the issue very well . . . The younger employee wouldn't put up with being mistreated, so she refused to do what the manager said. Then I saw the manager put her hands on the other employee, and that's when I and a lot of other customers left. I don't know what happened to that young employee, but assume it can't be good, because it looks like that manager has a good degree of control in that place.
