It's all an illusion! Just a Macys mentality under the Dillard brand. Paid $100 for a white polo and wore it once! Food was spilled on the shirt and after spending $15 at my nearest cleaner they couldn't get the stain out. When I brought back the shirt I get had a hard stance "there is nothing we can do" they didn't even look at the dollar amount spent on my account or try to accommodate. The blonde haired female manager was rude however didn't take the time to resolve instead gave me some unrelated stories that had nothing to with me. They have nice clothes but do not standby them. Dillard's in Douglasville is a power play. Visiting this store has such a positive spin on selection and service. As long as I have lived in GA, I have never been to this mall. I just never had a reason because I thought the malls nearby my home had everything I needed. This is not the case when it comes to Dillard's. They have a variety of products that I want and need. Quality dress shirts, wide range selection of shoes for casual and event attire. I recently went and purchased a couple of crew shirts for an upcoming event. While the quality of the garments are above the normal range I have to mention that the customer service I have had was exceptional. This may be the underlined reason why I chose to give them 5 stars. While this review comes on the 3rd visit, I was more impressed by the desire to help and assist their customers. Learned as a perk when you apply and get approved for the Dillard's credit card you have up to 60 days to return an item that was purchased on that card! How generous is that! Yep, I think it's little things like these that keep me coming back. So this may be a normal spot for me to visit. It's about a 25 minute drive from my house to this area, but the travel is worth it. I'm not really a shopping type of person neither, but if it gets as good as Dillard's elsewhere, I may be encouraged. There is plenty of parking with access to the lower and upper levels. I purchased a juicer that was on sale and then I was given a discount that I could not refuse. I think I'm going to love this place. read more

I wanted to treat myself to a new bag but wasn't aware of the "used" high-end vintage bags being sold in Dillards under the "What Goes Around Comes Around" store. I did see the signs but was not informed of this and that the bag I purchased was non-refundable until after the saleslady rang me up. I wish she was more forthcoming with the information prior to my purchase. I may have still bought it being that I didn't know the bag was used, to not being able to return it if I wanted to would have been a red flag. I have purchased new high-end bags so I wasn't looking for a used one. Also, the saleslady mentioned the other high-end vintage store, "The RealReal" but not until my sale was complete. I found the same bag for $1200 less on their website. What a shame! read more

Ive been shopping here since they opened...20 years ago, and have always loved it! Until recently. Now when I go in it's depressing. There are carts of hanging clothes everywhere, racks are no longer separated by brands...,,clothes are all mixed together haphazardly. Customer service has gone waaaayyyy down. Today I was walking in Ladies Department with about 6-7 items in my arms and 2 different salespeople walked by without even speaking, much less offering to help me. Its sad to see this once nice store go down like the rest of the mall has, but I'm afraid it has. read more

SPRING HAS SPRUNG! This Dillard's is very nice. It is very open, clean and organized. Ms. Stella was working today and available to assist with purchases. In this store, winter is definitely over and spring has taken center stage. The beautiful bright colors and lighter fabrics are starting to emerge. I love the sitting area in the women's department where you can "park your spouse" in comfortable upholstered chairs. Just in case you are just not ready for spring, there are several winter items that are still available and deeply discounted to move. It is really difficult to decide what to purchase because the weather is just so unpredictable and fluid. Today was a great day to just browse and take it all in. It was a quiet and peaceful experience. Thanks Dillard's for a really nice visit! This store is definitely worth a visit! read more

I wouldn't go in the store if the world was on fire and they were the only ones with water. First off their selections are atrocious. I've been to every Dillard's store in and around Atlanta I don't know who is buying clothes out of there. I usually go for the show department and cosmetics. Secondly, they watch you like a hawk. They have security guard that stares you down like you did something. It's ridiculous. I went in with my MK shoes I bought I wanted to see if some shoes would were too low for a pair of pants. I had my box and a bag and my receipt. I told the clerk what I was doing. I was going to a concert and I really wanted to make sure the shoes looked good. I took one shirt and two pair of pants off the rack. I tried on the medium and a large pant. I went to the register. I specifically told the clerk I'm going to get this pant I left the shorts in the room. I also opened my MK box and asked her for an opinion. Do you know security called her and told her to look in the dressing room to make sure all of the articles of clothing were accounted for. She was nice and it wasn't on her. But I just thought that was th most ridiculous thing. I purchased my items with my Dillard's card and walked toward the door. I shot the biggest fattest bird at the camera and I never went back. I wrote the store manager to no avail. I don't steal So recently I went into the store in Newnan I like buying shoes out of there. They had a young guy working there. The entire time I was shopping for shoes he didn't say one word to me. He was complaining to his co-worker about he hadn't made any money that day and he was ready to go. He went to the other side of the shoe department closer to the Second register. I was ready to try on shoes I had to wave my arms to get his attention. It's was ridiculous. I was prepared to buy four pairs of shoes. I bought a red pair that really wanted and got out of there. So I promised myself that I'm paying off my card and cutting it up. I don't have time for such nonsense. I walked out of the store and went to Payless across the street to shop for my Jamaica trip. read more

Immediately after walking into the store me and my spouse were targeted and followed by security throughout the store which we found very disrespectful and damaging to our shopping experience . We felt more like suspects than customers and for that Dillard's has lost our respect and our business. read more

So my sister and I went to the jewelry section of Dillard and began to look for earrings for my birthday party. We looked and looked and looked some more, by this time we were probably in that section for maybe 40 minutes. Guess what happened next? A cop magically appeared. We were the only 2 customers in that section. We were racially profiled and it sucked. I saw him as soon as he walked up. The two ladies checking us out one short and dumpy the other average height (both dark haired) acted so strange while we were checking out, I wonder why? Catch the sarcasm. The short one started with nervous chatter. All of us knew what was going on. The other lady was quiet as a mouse. Do better Dillards!!!! read more

When I need a new dress, I drive 30 minutes to this Dillard's specifically to visit the ladies working in the dress section (all are wonderful!) Maryann worked with me today to find the perfect dress for my dad's retirement party. She took me through the hundreds of dresses and hand picked a few for me - I ended up loving her choices and left the store with two new beautiful dresses! Thank you Dillard's for hiring such lovely ladies. They are always kind, personal, and professional. And thank you to Maryann for making dress buying a bit more fun! :) read more

I absolutely love going to Dillards in Arbor Place Mall. The employees there are superior in the way they treat customers. They are knowledgeable, attentive without annoying you and you don't feel the sales pressure like in some other stores. I always look forward to going there and having a great shopping experience. BEWARE OF STEPHANIE DO NOT SHOP HERE: I am writing in regards to a recent experience my children had with a Dillards employee named Stephanie this past Saturday July 14, 2018. While my daughter and her friend where in line at the food court in front of Charleys Philly Steaks Stephanie a Dillards employee cut in front of them. The kids are 12 and 13 years old. They didn't initially say anything to Stephanie and her boyfriend whom was also with her. They simply stepped back into their spot. Upon doing so Stephanie yells at them and says, "GET BACK WHERE YOU BELONG!" The kids then say I'm sorry but we were here first. Stephanie continues to verbally assault the two children, intimidate them, and then push her body against my daughter. At this time my daughter gives me a call to inform me of what is going on and that she is afraid for her safety. I then inform her that I will be contacting the police and I will be there shortly. This entire situation took place under the surveillance of mall cameras and multiple other mall patrons who were stunned at Stephanie's behavior especially towards two children. Upon my arrival I expressed my concerns to the police officer that was there. She provided me with a case number and although the girls at that time didn't know Stephanie's name they described her and was able to see from her name badge that she worked at Dillards but she had her hair covering her name. The officer said she would go down to Dillards to speak with Stephanie and I informed the officer that I wanted to speak with a manager there also to inform him or her of the situation. The officer agreed that I should. Upon arrival we notice Stephanie in the women's department behind the register. I approached her and expressed who I was and that I was highly disappointed as to what she had just done. Instead of apologizing she had the worst attitude and began to speak to me in the same rude way she was speaking to my daughter and her friend. I asked her to call the highest manager on duty and then she placed a call for a manager to come. During this same time another associate was approaching and the police officer. I asked the associate for her name and she informed me that her name was Stephanie. A manager also arrived during this time my daughter pointed out that Stephanie's boyfriend was sitting there in front of the register. We were confused because we didn't know you could take your spouse to work with you. Stephanie behaved in a way that was unbecoming of an adult none the less one that was at work and dealing with kids. I have never heard of such a thing in my life where you verbally assault, berate, and intimidate children and then you and your boyfriend go back to your job and chat together. Her behavior was caught on mall cameras. I fear for the safety of any customer who has to encounter Stephanie. Her demeanor before the officer arrived vs after the officer arrived was totally different and she immediately tried to play victim but the mall camera in front of Charleys Cheese Steak doesn't lie nor does their employees who also couldn't believe Stephanie's irate behavior. It was hard for me to communicate with my daughter via phone because Stephanie was yelling into my daughters phone which is also on camera. As a parent I cannot express how hurt and upset I was to encounter an adult that would treat children in such a way and then play victim when the adults arrive. Her behavior is disgraceful and as I stated before it was on camera. This is a horrible situation and one that no parent or child should ever have to go through especially not with an employee of Dillards. read more

Dillard's at Arbor place mall is racist and rude. I do not recommend anyone go there. My friends and I were trying on dresses in the dressing room and the sales associate knocked on our door and told us they were going to call security on us if we were not going to buy anything. They also told us we had to be attended to by an adult, after proceeding to tell her we were 18 and over she responded saying "I don't care, if you're not buying, we're going to call security." I had a horrible experience there, and left feeling profiled and dissatisfied. Please save yourselves the trouble and avoid Dillard's at Arbor place mall. read more
