With all this hair on my head, with all of the styles I've been through since I've been a child, my local beauty supply store has held me down. So when I moved, of course one of the first businesses I looked for was a beauty supply store. And of course, Beauty Master was where I was lead. My first impression of the exterior building was, "damn, is this a Walmart?!" And then I walked in and confirmed that it essentially is lol. What an eye-full I received when I opened that door! Clothes, wigs, sprays, oh my! I seriously didn't know where to turn first. Is there anything you can't find here?! The shelves were stocked to the max and extremely organized, I couldn't get over how neat everything was. I spent almost an hour walking around just looking, not that I needed anything seriously, but how they display items makes you want to peruse. Great marketing (or I'm a sucker lol) There wasn't much help offered in the store or at the counter but eh, life goes on. I hope if I did need help, it'd be easy to obtain. I have never experienced such prejudice before. I had an associate get 3 packs of hair for me and they had them waiting for me at the counter. The cashier cashed me as normal. I began to walk out the door and one of the items still went off despite the cashier running the bag over the sensor multiple times. I was just going to continue out the door when the asian woman who was vacuuming stopped me and took my bag as though I had shoplifted. The security went through my items and ran the bag over several more times and the alarm still sounded. This is a really large beauty supply store. They really have everything that you need from hair extensions, makeup, products, clothes, accessories, etc. I was really surprised by the amount of lash extension options that are in the store, literally 2 rows of lashes. There is also a separate section for human hair where someone who works at the store can get hair for you and answer questions. Overall, great store in good location but gave 4 stars because there was not a lot of hair left. Maybe a shipment will be in soon. read more

I've been to this location several times and it's one of the best beauty supplies I've been to in regards to the amount of product. The store is huge and they have a great selection of hair, wigs, flat irons, blow dryers, eyelashes, braiding hair, hair care products and much much more. If you're looking for something specific I would come here first because chances are they will have it somewhere in the store. I've gotten something from just about every aisle in the store and have been very much pleased Since covid they've had a security stand at the front raking temperatures and you had to have a mask on to enter. Also If you spent a certain amount in the store you got a free mask but I don't know if they're doing that anymore. The only downside like everyone else said is customer service. It's reaaaaaally bad. There's so many workers standing around but no one is willing to help you. Since the store is so big it's hard to find what you're looking for so you will spend quite a while inside if you need a couple of items. The customer service is and has been very poor since they opened up and replaced the Barnes and Noble at this shopping plaza. Typically I like to go to Atlanta Beauty Depot on Cobb parkway because of their great service and wonderful staff, but I was near camp creek so I came here to pick up a few packs of crochet hair. I was surprised to find out they didn't have what I was looking for (Freetress waterwave 2 and 27). It's pretty common so when they told me they were out of stock I was disappointed. With this being such a big store and Freetress being such a popular brand I would think they would keep it stocked. At the end of the day there are hundreds of beauty supply stores in Atlanta so went up the road on cascade and got what I needed. read more

Very disappointing experience today. I have shopped here since this place opened and today I was made to feel like a common criminal when I have spent thousands of dollars supporting this business. I needed to do something with my hair I was not sure if I wanted a hair weave or a wig. Its more of 2.5 star, they lose some points because I was really bummed when I found out they were closing the Barnes and Noble store that sat in this location and was replacing it with a Beauty Supply store, because of course, the black community needs another Beauty supply store as much as we need a hole in our head. I went in when the first opened and to tell you the truth, I wasn't impressed then, and I'm only slightly impressed now that I've made an actual purchase, in the time they've been open (April 2013). The Barnes and Noble was a strength to the community. It served college kids, and elementary schools in the community. The beauty supply store is....well, a beauty supply store and there is nothing about this one that makes it any more appealing than the other 99 plus beauty stores that sit in almost every other shopping center in Atlanta. I will admit that the staff greeted me multiple times, and I was not asked to spend 50 cents on a wig cap to try on wigs, but was offered one at no cost. I ended up spending $85 on two wigs, which is way to costly if you ask me. I'm more accustomed to the BOGO that I use to get from Super Beauty. Even after the 30% discount on each wig. The good thing is that one of the wigs is human hair so I will have it for years, but overall, I may have to break down and start wearing my own hair, because the cost for hair is raising in our fair city, but the quality of the hair is still as it always was. read more

It's literally a one stop shop for all of your beauty needs. This location is huge and always well stocked. I came here today specifically for hair jewelry for my goddess locs. I was able to find all colors. I love that they're open 9-9, which is convenient because you never know when you may have a hair emergency. This Beauty Master location is huge and located in the Camp Creek market place area in a plaza with the UPS store. On Saturdays it can be tricky and time consuming getting to this part of the plaza, because of the 2 way stop signs, with four ways of traffic coming in. I mention this because it can be hard to access this location during peak parts of the day. Beauty Master in general lives by the name "master", because it has a massive amount of beauty products. They have clothes, accessories, nail care, and of course hair extensions. You can find wigs, human hair, braiding hair, crocheting hair, etc. I typically look for Beauty Master when I pay a friend to braid my hair, because they have more options then some of the smaller beauty supply stores. I usually don't have issues finding what I need, and the workers in the store are usually helpful. This time around I wanted Kinky Twists. They had 4 different brands of Marley hair, but the pricing was not accurate. This worked in my favor, because when I checked out, each pack was $1 less than the coordinating sticker that was on the wall above the hair. I checked each pack of hair and the Femi Collection seemed to have the most hair in each pack for the Marley style hair. I highly suggest examining to ensure you are getting enough hair. My friend braided my hair Sunday, and it only took 2 full packs and less than a half of the third pack to complete my look. My fiance was able to find some cool bands for his locks, and other items for his hair. Overall, this location is great for male and female beauty needs, I just don't like the traffic that leads us to the parking lot on Saturday afternoons. read more

I was looking for an edge control/edge tamer and they had several on the shelves together. Different brands, which made it pretty difficult to choose one. Nothing quite compares to the feeling I get when I walk into a good beauty supply strore. I just love row after row of items geared towards beautification. Not all of stores do the job properly. Some are too small or too cluttered. Some need to get the lighting together (lighting is very important). Some don't have enough merchandise. This Beauty Master suffers not from the above afflictions. Large, clean, neat, spacious rows, appropriate lighting, and all the things a girl could want and need to look like the Georgia peach that she is. What is customer service??? Staff is super unhelpful and don't even give off the vibe of being approachable. When you do ask them a question the seem almost irritated. Most of the time they are having personal conversations with each other. No one every asks "can I help you?". The most frustrating part is they have zero clue about products, can't give any feedback/recommendations, and not familiar with store policy. I've been here several times and the experience is always blah. On my most recent visit I was looking for a blow dryer and asked an associate if she knew about the particular one I was looking at or could recommend the most popular. She flatly responded "I don't know" and turned away. I asked if she knew of anyone that could help me and she said maybe the girl at the register.... ok. I go over there to ask the girl at the register about a specific product and return policy, she's clueless. She then gets another associate who is also clueless..... wow. It was apparent that she has no respect for her Black customers who flock into this Beauty Master location in droves. I bought the Leflare Chanel wig that said "unprocessed", from this beauty supply.It caught my eye because it was marked down from $200 down to $79,red flag #1.I took it home and put it on my wig head and I swear that I saw what looked like "lice" on my wig! I thought I was tripping so I got a friend to look and he said it looked like bugs on this hair!
