Have you ever had a date and in 5 mins there were so many red flags, you knew it was going to be a…read moretrain wreck? If you like that kind of thing, then I would like to welcome you to the Garden Inn Baltimore/Whitemarsh. I'm just going to bullet point this gong show. -Room---very old with no guide on the tv remote, and you have no clue where anything is. A real pleasure. -Staff---indifference. When I shared with the person at the front desk there was minimal hot water, she looked at me like I must be lying and said "I will add it to the list for my manager". She pulled out a sheet of paper and I briefly saw the list....it was long. It was never fixed. One good thing, I did ask the gentlemen at the front desk about the tv my first night re the guide, and he shared a listing of the channels that he had taken the initiative to make. That was helpful. Probably should put that in every room. -Food---breakfast is confusing. Is there a buffet, is there not? It was edible but you have to make your own toast. For some reason, they can cook the rest, but this part is on you. Nice touch, because everyone traveling loves the opportunity to cook. -Nice lobby and the fitness center had the basics. -the waitress on Wednesday morning was very attentive. I have stayed at Garden Inn's and they are usually just fine. Ownership/management is usually the cause when everything is offand my guess is there isn't any at this location. Unless the message from management to the staff is "remember our moto, be below average!!!", this is all off a beat. The good news is, there is a Hampton Inn just across the street that I can try next time. Hopefully it's different local ownership/management. Welp, my ride is here to head to the airport and as I went to the coffee bar to grab a to go coffee, I couldn't get a coffee to go. The dispensers were empty....."below average".

I was sent here on a business trip and with many hotels to choose from , I chose this one because…read moreit was the closest to my training facility. First the positive, the location is convenient with a lot of restaurants and stores within a few minutes of driving. It has a good sized parking lot which is free. The morning breakfast is not free but the women helping serve and cook were the nicest I dealt with. Now for the negative. I don't even have a problem with it being outdated (which it is) however filthy is where I draw the line. From the moment I arrived just walking the hallways the place smells of weed. I didn't get the room I picked ahead of time and paid extra for on an upper floor with a king suite because I was told it was under construction. I was then put in a double queen suite on floor 4. The room was probably the worst hotel room I have ever seen. It was extremely filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned or maintained, with a nice hole in the wall, dirty sheets, filthy floors, candy on the floor and mold in some places as shown in the photos. I went to complain and they said they could send someone tomorrow to clean , in the meantime I asked for new sheets and remade the bed myself. Someone did come by and clearly vacuumed while I was out the next day but that's about it. Other than an apology , nothing was done or compensated and they didn't seem to care. I honestly should have left and gone somewhere else . Next time I come back for work I will clearly stay elsewhere . Hilton should take a look into this hotel and be embarrassed it's under their brand. I should have listened to others saying similar in their reviews.

The sign-up and registration process was super easy, and we were able to jump right into the games right away. Everything was very user-friendly with clear instructions, and each room helps guide you through what to do whether you're a beginner or more advanced. Be prepared to be comfortable and ready to move because it can definitely get intense. You will work up a sweat. It's intense, but no worries--this space is designed for you to go at your own pace. Overall, it was such a fun experience. This is a great spot for a date, family time, or hanging out with friends. We will definitely be back.

I'm not gonna lie. I was upset when I left this place. To…read morebegin with we were late to a birthday celebration at Activate. Please don't judge me. I know in this day and time that Google can solve a lot of ignorant problems. I chose to be ignorant about Activate Baltimore. My friends described it as a gaming place. I thought Dave & Buster's, right? Wrong. Wear your most comfortable clothes and shoes. You are about to get down and dirty. Yes, leaving it all on the floor. I put time into my look on the day I visited Activate Baltimore. I thought I was cute and prepared , wearing sneakers and jeans. I should have worn my Spandex set and slouch socks. It woulda gave hot mom. Anyways, this is a sweat pants activity. Side bar: I think it would be really cool if ACTIVATE BALTIMORE had athletic gear specifically made for this activity. You will be playing games that make you feel like you're playing dodge ball. Duos and groups of 3 or 4 , competing in laser beam limbo , memory games , hopping, shooting lasers, laser Tetris and pac man adjacent games. I didn't realize it at the beginning but you will earn points for each room you enter and will be ranked according to your skill. Some rooms are popular and may have a long line . You have to wait your turn. They have lockers for stuff. Not a lot of stuff. My friend brought a red cooler full of water for his birthday celebration. He's 40 and very thirsty. After 15 min of playing games , I began to sweat. I was nervous and afraid to be musty. The rooms are small and it would linger . Jesus . ( What is this life I'm living ? ) I took a potty break. Gathered myself as women always do and had a great time. Key Points : There is a literacy level to these games . Make sure at least 1 person can read on your team. Wear sweats Ladies pull your hair up or back. No open toe shoes KNEE PADS Leave jewelry home . Ladies wear pants, unless you want dirty knees No pocket change . Put your loose stuff in a locker .
