Have you ever had a date and in 5 mins there were so many red flags, you knew it was going to be a…read moretrain wreck? If you like that kind of thing, then I would like to welcome you to the Garden Inn Baltimore/Whitemarsh. I'm just going to bullet point this gong show. -Room---very old with no guide on the tv remote, and you have no clue where anything is. A real pleasure. -Staff---indifference. When I shared with the person at the front desk there was minimal hot water, she looked at me like I must be lying and said "I will add it to the list for my manager". She pulled out a sheet of paper and I briefly saw the list....it was long. It was never fixed. One good thing, I did ask the gentlemen at the front desk about the tv my first night re the guide, and he shared a listing of the channels that he had taken the initiative to make. That was helpful. Probably should put that in every room. -Food---breakfast is confusing. Is there a buffet, is there not? It was edible but you have to make your own toast. For some reason, they can cook the rest, but this part is on you. Nice touch, because everyone traveling loves the opportunity to cook. -Nice lobby and the fitness center had the basics. -the waitress on Wednesday morning was very attentive. I have stayed at Garden Inn's and they are usually just fine. Ownership/management is usually the cause when everything is offand my guess is there isn't any at this location. Unless the message from management to the staff is "remember our moto, be below average!!!", this is all off a beat. The good news is, there is a Hampton Inn just across the street that I can try next time. Hopefully it's different local ownership/management. Welp, my ride is here to head to the airport and as I went to the coffee bar to grab a to go coffee, I couldn't get a coffee to go. The dispensers were empty....."below average".

First the positive, the location is convenient with a lot of restaurants and stores within a few minutes of driving. It has a good sized parking lot which is free. The morning breakfast is not free but the women helping serve and cook were the nicest I dealt with. Now for the negative. I don't even have a problem with it being outdated (which it is) however filthy is where I draw the line. From the moment I arrived just walking the hallways the place smells of weed. I didn't get the room I picked ahead of time and paid extra for on an upper floor with a king suite because I was told it was under construction. I was then put in a double queen suite on floor 4. The room was probably the worst hotel room I have ever seen. It was extremely filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned or maintained, with a nice hole in the wall, dirty sheets, filthy floors, candy on the floor and mold in some places as shown in the photos. I went to complain and they said they could send someone tomorrow to clean , in the meantime I asked for new sheets and remade the bed myself. Someone did come by and clearly vacuumed while I was out the next day but that's about it. Other than an apology , nothing was done or compensated and they didn't seem to care. I honestly should have left and gone somewhere else . Next time I come back for work I will clearly stay elsewhere . Hilton should take a look into this hotel and be embarrassed it's under their brand. I should have listened to others saying similar in their reviews.

As part of our stay, we booked a night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott just outside Perry Hall in Baltimore, and it turned out to be a genuinely pleasant stop on an emotional journey. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the hotel welcomed us with charm. The lobby was beautifully dressed in full autumn spirit--scarecrows, pumpkins, rich fall colors--like a warm seasonal hug. The staff even allowed us to check in early, which was a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. My wife handled check-in and was greeted by Tyrell, a standout concierge who not only made the process smooth but also shared some great recommendations for things to do in Baltimore. His kindness set the tone for the stay. Our room was impressively spacious, featuring two queen beds, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a standard TV equipped with Netflix--perfect for winding down. The only hiccup was the TV remote, which felt like it required superhuman strength to use. I initially thought it was just old batteries, but even after a trip to the front desk for replacements, it turned out the remote itself was just... well, not the hotel's finest feature. The second minor annoyance was an unexpected 6 a.m. alarm that no one in our family had set--an unwelcome surprise before breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, though--what a highlight. The spread was delightful: eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereals, and the always-fun make-your-own-waffle station, complete with batter dispensers and sizzling waffle irons. It was a cheerful way to start the morning. Overall, our stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott was comfortable, welcoming, and filled with thoughtful touches. Despite a couple of small frustrations, we left with a positive impression--and we'd happily stay at another Marriott property in the future.

We stayed at this location to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday, but our experience was completely unacceptable and upsetting. Upon check-in, we discovered that our room had been given to someone else, and another guest's belongings were already inside. When we brought this to the attention of a staff member named Carmen, she was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and confrontational. Instead of resolving the issue, she accused us of lying and stated, "No it's not, and you're f--ing with the right one. You won't get a room f--ing with me." Her behavior was completely inappropriate and threatening. As we decided to leave the hotel due to this treatment, she further insulted us by saying, "It's not the room, it's the people." This comment was not only disrespectful but also carried clear racial undertones, making an already bad situation even worse. To make matters worse, the room itself was unclean, the towels were in poor condition, and the general environment did not meet even basic standards of hospitality. This experience ruined what was supposed to be a special occasion. The conduct of this employee was not just rude--it was hostile, discriminatory, and unacceptable. I will never stay at this location again and strongly urge management to address this serious issue. Carmen's behavior reflects very poorly on the Hampton Inn brand. Im a Hilton Honors Member.

My king hotel room needed an absolute update! Bathroom linen was just rolled up and needs an upgrade. There were NO Wash clothes!! The housekeeper said they were out. When opening the provided fridge, there was such a horrible smell that I gagged and it lingered. The sheets had stains and hairs in them. It looks like they had swept the room. Yellow stains on the wall. Best of all, a sewing needle embedded in the carpet. We stayed a total of 15 minutes. We have 3 small children and could not in good faith accept these conditions. We let the front desk know, we were only told to call our booking site, no other resolutions offered. (guy was nice, though.) our credit card company called and the hotel hung up on them. Country inn then stated no reimbursement of any sort. I have emailed them, no response. I would save yourself the headache and money and look elsewhere.

Our family is planning a wedding in May 2027, and we would very much like to reserve a block of approximately 50 rooms at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baltimore White Marsh for our guests. Unfortunately, I have been trying for nearly two months to connect with Rebecca in Sales and Keisha as the Manager, including multiple phone calls, voicemails, emails, and conversations with members of the front desk team, and I have yet to receive a response. I completely understand that hotels are busy and things can fall through the cracks, which is why I've continued trying to reach someone. At this point, though, after so many attempts over such a long period of time, I'm honestly not sure what else to do. We're not calling with a complaint... we're actually trying to bring a significant amount of business to the hotel! We would simply love to speak with someone who can help us arrange the room block. If anyone from SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baltimore White Marsh management or corporate sees this, I would sincerely appreciate someone reaching out to me at mailto:mikeleahyj@gmail.com or call my cell phone at 908-456-4377. Thank you very much. I'm hopeful we can finally connect and get this taken care of!

I have been a frequent traveler across multiple hospitality brands for 30+ years. I have never been…read moreso poorly treated as I was by the team at Springhill Suites on Greenleigh Avenue in Middle River, MD. During a family road trip in May, I booked an overnight stay at this Springhill Suites from the road using the Bonvoy App. The app said I had a confirmed booking and e-mailed me a receipt at 9 PM. I entered into the app what time I would be arriving (11:30 PM) and left a comment that while we would be a late night arrival, we were on our way and to please check us in. I did not receive any app notification, e-mail, or phone call about our reservation during the next 2 1/2 hours. However, when we arrived right on time, we were told by Omari Quickley that our reservation was cancelled, there were no rooms available, and there was nothing he could do about it. I asked him about the hotel's policy for handling something this serious, and he said there isn't one. He said the Bonvoy app was "wrong." Only after serving 2 other guests buying snacks, he called his manager and slowly made calls to 2 local hotels at my request, which were also full. At this point, it was well after midnight and another family came to check in; they too were turned away and told their reservation was cancelled. I felt even worse for them, as the woman was traveling with her elderly parents and she told me they were exhausted. I asked Omari what compensation we would receive for the inconvenience, and he said he had done all he can. I asked for his GM's business card and the bottled water I normally receive as a Gold member at check-in. He gave me these, and I left with my family just before 1 AM. We had to drive through the night as we couldn't find a place to stay at that hour. I called GM Maya Farris 4 times over the next 5 weeks, leaving detailed messages with staff. I then e-mailed her twice asking to talk with her, share my story and hear how she might better handle future overbookings in the future. She finally replied to my second e-mail saying she hadn't received any of my phone messages and would NOT have a call with me. She referred me to La'Kesha Parker, with whom I traded e-mail messages for 10 days and never received a reply to my last e-mail on July 24. I am a former CEO and business owner, and I never once refused a client who requested to speak with me. I can't imagine doing so. I am disappointed in this supposed hospitality company, and I hope Marriott is as well. Travelers, beware of this hotel and its team! I'm taking the time to share this review so others can avoid the exhausting, frustrating experience that I had.
