I'm hoping someone from the management team at SpringHill Suites in Whitemarsh, Maryland might see this and be able to help! Our family is planning a wedding in May 2027, and we would very much like to reserve a block of approximately 50 rooms at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baltimore White Marsh for our guests. Unfortunately, I have been trying for nearly two months to connect with Rebecca in Sales and Keisha as the Manager, including multiple phone calls, voicemails, emails, and conversations with members of the front desk team, and I have yet to receive a response. I completely understand that hotels are busy and things can fall through the cracks, which is why I've continued trying to reach someone. At this point, though, after so many attempts over such a long period of time, I'm honestly not sure what else to do. We're not calling with a complaint... we're actually trying to bring a significant amount of business to the hotel! We would simply love to speak with someone who can help us arrange the room block. I have been a frequent traveler across multiple hospitality brands for 30+ years. I have never been so poorly treated as I was by the team at Springhill Suites on Greenleigh Avenue in Middle River, MD. During a family road trip in May, I booked an overnight stay at this Springhill Suites from the road using the Bonvoy App. The app said I had a confirmed booking and e-mailed me a receipt at 9 PM. I entered into the app what time I would be arriving (11:30 PM) and left a comment that while we would be a late night arrival, we were on our way and to please check us in. I did not receive any app notification, e-mail, or phone call about our reservation during the next 2 1/2 hours. However, when we arrived right on time, we were told by Omari Quickley that our reservation was cancelled, there were no rooms available, and there was nothing he could do about it. I asked him about the hotel's policy for handling something this serious, and he said there isn't one. He said the Bonvoy app was "wrong." Only after serving 2 other guests buying snacks, he called his manager and slowly made calls to 2 local hotels at my request, which were also full. At this point, it was well after midnight and another family came to check in; they too were turned away and told their reservation was cancelled. I felt even worse for them, as the woman was traveling with her elderly parents and she told me they were exhausted. I asked Omari what compensation we would receive for the inconvenience, and he said he had done all he can. I asked for his GM's business card and the bottled water I normally receive as a Gold member at check-in. He gave me these, and I left with my family just before 1 AM. We had to drive through the night as we couldn't find a place to stay at that hour. I called GM Maya Farris 4 times over the next 5 weeks, leaving detailed messages with staff. I then e-mailed her twice asking to talk with her, share my story and hear how she might better handle future overbookings in the future. She finally replied to my second e-mail saying she hadn't received any of my phone messages and would NOT have a call with me. She referred me to La'Kesha Parker, with whom I traded e-mail messages for 10 days and never received a reply to my last e-mail on July 24. I am a former CEO and business owner, and I never once refused a client who requested to speak with me. I can't imagine doing so. I am disappointed in this supposed hospitality company, and I hope Marriott is as well. Travelers, beware of this hotel and its team! I'm taking the time to share this review so others can avoid the exhausting, frustrating experience that I had. read more

Very nice hotel. Set up in the early Springhill Suite design but rooms, lobby and amenities have been upgraded. Staff was friendly. The room very clean and well kept. The exercise room is nice. The complimentary breakfast was great. The women that was in charge of it was wonderful. Everything was just so. Perfect eggs, waffles, oatmeal, breakfast sandwich's. Good coffee. My only issue is that even though the hotel has mobile key, it does not offer, straight to room check in like most Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inns and Courtyards do. At first I was going to rate 4 stars instead of five. I changed my mind because of the great personality of the person that checked my in and the quality of the complimentary breakfast. read more

When I first arrived, I was told I could not check in until 4:00 (though the check-in time posted is 3:00 in the rooms). The first room provided had a strong smell of curry in the room. I asked for another room. They insisted upon sending up housekeeping to confirm there was a smell in the room. When confirmed by housekeeping, they moved me to the room next door. When returning from late night work, I find the HVAC rattles loudly and kept me up most of the night. When I asked the hotel for any goodwill adjustment, I was told they don't "do that". I haven't seen a single team member who understands what hospitality actually means. Guests say thank you to staff and receive blank stares, no smile, no acknowledgement - no caring for the guests. Every person I've seen working here looks like they just wish the guest would go away. Do better, Marriott! read more

Very nice stay at this pretty new Marriott property. We got a two bedroom layout with a huge couch pullout bed and desk. We liked the layout with the spacious bathroom and fog-free mirror. By the lobby they have a fire pit with several chairs around for those brave enough to sit outside in winter. A full service bar inside was a surprising feature. There was a free hot breakfast in the morning with a lot of drink options. Overall, a sweet spot to stay in Maryland. read more

Stayed here while passing through Baltimore and would highly recommend this hotel. Chrissy, the young lady at check in was super friendly and professional, having everything all ready for my arrival. The hotel itself is very clean with no evidence of roaches or roach droppings as stated in a previous review. I highly doubt you could have a single roach infested room without it affecting all the others. Never seen roaches pick a room and stay there. I'm a bit of a hotel snob and have always been satisfied with the Marriott brand. In addition to the cleanliness of the property, breakfast was provided. Prepackaged Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and muffins. Overall, if you're looking for a friendly, quiet and clean place to stay, this is definitely it. read more

This hotel gave me a horrible stay. They never changed my sheets once and I stayed there for 4 days. The last time I stayed there, the shower flooded because it doesn't properly drain. I had the worst experience with this hotel and I've been a Marriott member for over 10 years. They also discriminate against smokers. Lying stating that I'm leaving an odor from the entrance to the 2nd floor just by walking by is quite comical. A walk by can't leave a smell lingering. You can only smell a smell when someone passes by. But leaving a smell in hallways and entrances cannot be done. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. They also charged my card 3 times for hundreds of dollars and still can't tell me where the extra $300+ charge came from. Never Again! read more

4 night stay in April 2025. Management and service is sadly lacking and doesn't care. After a 10 hour jourejy we were booked into Room 425 that had a KNOWN AC fault resulting in temperatures in the 80's - after a late dinner and went to bed. At 11pm it was stifling and had to dress, report, repack and move to another room - partner who had a severe foot injury and disability.) Front desk informed me that night SPECIFICALLY that the previous guest had reported the fault ,was also moved but obviously 'maintenance' failed to fix it. The following morning we asked to talk to the manager Maya Farris ? but were informed that she had no real schedule at the property. and were not sure when she would be there but would take a message. We asked to speak with her after she had been informed of the issues. At no time did she make any attempt to contact us , we checked the next day and she left a internal message that they had no previous AC issue, and in any event 'we were moved so all was ok, she saw no reason to apologize or discount the bill '. We stated to the front desk that we were not satisfied + to give her one last chance to review the matter as the fault occurred previously (her staff raised this ,the disturbance was considerable and her response were inappropriately not caring. We did mention if no positive response would be given we would follow up with reviews and reports On checkout this was totally ignored. So after staying here multiple times as the manager stated in email that I have been over the past 3 months due to work. This recent stay I come in the room and move the sofa to the wall so I can get to the outlet so I can plug my laptop in, I find a used box of condoms under the sofa which means housekeeping isn't cleaning as they should. But there's no need to list all the issues that I have had so I will just upload my screen shot for you all to read. But I would leave this for new guests, find another Springhill Suites to stay at. I do not recommend this one in White Marsh, MD. read more

I'm a frequent Marriott Titanium level guest. This hotel is dirty and in disrepair, especially considering it's allegedly a newer hotel. Hotel staff is rude and unfriendly: They even denied a request for bottled water, which is typically complimentary at all Marriott properties. By the way, there is NO free water available even during their crappy breakfast buffet. Lights are burned out and the shower door handle is broken. Most areas, particularly the elevators, smell like stale cigarettes (it's supposed to be a non-smoking property). Above all for me, it's the unacceptable lassis fare attitude of the hotel staff, which is a direct reflection of poor management. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, nor will I stay here ever again! read more

Stayed here multiple times before and never had a problem. Checked in and was told housekeeping service was back and selected service every other day. Room wasn't serviced as requested and housekeepers lied to front desk staff and said they had serviced the room every day. Yesterday called desk to request service and he told me they were too busy and then 5 minutes later a housekeeping trainee walks into my room unannounced. I asked her to leave and put the trash outside for her to clean. Then the front desk attendant calls me back and says I have to vacate the hotel or he is calling the police. I spent an hour on the phone with corporate Marriott to get it resolved. This morning the so called general manager of the property called me and accused me the guest who has been staying with Marriott for years of threatening her staff. No apology. No discount for wasting my time and threatening me with police involvement for asking for a clean room for the fourth day. DO NOT STAY here. Staff are not trained properly, management doesn't treat guests respectfully and if you a female traveling alone definitely don't stay here. read more

Stayed here for one night after booking for 3 nights. We thought they had a pool and my son wanted to swim as a part of his birthday celebration. The set up is very awkward as saltier reviewer pointed out. The bathroom entrance sliding clear door is directly In front of the bed and I was always disturbed when someone used the bathroom in the middle of the night. The light shined directly in my face. We booked a double bed suite and the tv is in an awkward position. You have to turn the tv and the guest in the second bed had a difficult time viewing the movie. The beds are not comfortable. The pros- the staff was nice and accommodating and the room was clean. I would stay here again if I was traveling alone. Also it's far away from the Live casino and other attractions. read more

This is a brand new Springhill Suites and it had a new smell to it when I stayed here for 2 days in September 2018. The entire surrounding area is being developed with a small strip mall across the street. During my stay, the Dunkin Donuts was open place to eat and a Thai restaurant was being built. There's a gas station across the street (will need to drive to cross the busy street) to fill up with snacks and drinks. The staff was extremely helpful throughout my stay. I plan to stay here during my next trip to the area. read more

My family has stayed at this location multiple times while visiting relatives in the Baltimore area. The rooms are clean and comfortable which is the reason I gave 2 stars and not 1. I called multiple times to insure our rooms would be connecting. I booked 2 rooms, both with 2 queen size beds. I was told each time I called there would be no problem with connecting rooms. When we arrived, we were told that in order to get connecting rooms, one room would need to be a king and the other room could be 2 beds. We have a family of 5 with 2 teenage kids so this wasn't going to work. After agreeing to 2 separate rooms with 2 beds each, not adjoining and being told they were next to each other, we went to our rooms. The rooms were across the hall. We went back to the front desk and reassigned rooms next to each other. Upon checkout, I was emailed 2 separate bills even though I had 1 reservation and the rooms were different prices and higher than my confirmation. I called the front desk and was told Maya, the manager, had worked the night shift, and nothing could be done to correct my bill until she came in which was later that evening. We would be checked out by then. I was reassured that I would hear from "Maya" within 24 hours to correct it. I gave my cell number and email address. Never heard from here. I am now going they my credit card to dispute the charges. read more

Do not stay at this hotel! The rooms were overfilled with roaches and no one wanted to do anything about it. The sheets had stains all over them. I had to check out even before my stay was up. As i was checking out, the lady at the front told me she could not give me my money back because i smoked in the room. I don't even smoke at all and got accused of smoking. Then, the front desk does not even ask anyone for Identification before giving someone a key to your room so anybody could give your room number and get a key. They have breakfast in the mornings and the employees who make the food and put it out don't even wear gloves. Last, i returned to the room around 12am and the front door was locked. They do not have key entry so i kept ringing the door bell and after 10 minutes still no one came to the door. I then had to keep calling and finally a female came to the door. read more

This is a newer facility, but a recent experience in April, 2022 forces me to rate accordingly. We've stayed here before, so we decided to spend a night here again before continuing on vacation to Hilton Head. Guests in an adjoining room wouldn't stop yelling, and we made several trips to front desk to seek help. No success, including two visits to the room by security. Our last visit at 1:00am resulted in no change, so they suggested that we move our belongings to another room, as opposed to stopping the offending parties. Very reluctantly, we did move at 1:15, and things improved. The General Manager never answered my email for 13 days, and only because I went to the Bonvoy Titanium concierge to address my concern. I understand that these things do happen in hotels, but I'm mostly upset about an attitude by the GM that they fixed the issue. As a Bonvoy Titanium member and Marriott Vacation Club owner, we only stay at Marriott properties. Never again will I stay here. It's not worth the frustration should you have an issue that needs to be addressed. read more

It is sad to see such a beautiful place go downhill so quickly. Three years ago my coworkers encouraged me to switch to this property when in the region. Staff was great and property was clean. Since then it has significantly went down hill. Upon arrival I was treated to a pair of young adults yellow ng how they were gonna whup on someone. But the occasional bad apples are everywhere right? It seems this was one of the periods the new lobby police were not present but these things happen right? Housekeeping still bult request only but again these things happen right? Late flight out so request a late checkout and was assured it wouldn't be a problem. Oddly enough at 1130 am the passive aggressive games begin with housekeeping at the door again these things happen everywhere if you spend long enough on hotels. This was followed by the phone ringing multiple times but no one on the other end. So I am slow to take a hint but after an hour of being interrupted ever few moments I call the desk to be told I don't have a late checkout on file and can not stay until 2pm as I was told. I've spent almost two months at Marriott so far this year alone and probably longer at this property over the years. Two stars because the material condition has yet to deteriorate. Can't say as I will ever be back but wont recommend it anymore. read more

Really struggled with this review because the place is really nice, they offer a nice mini gym and small indoor pool. The room was great, nicely decorated, the staff very friendly but I must knock off two stars because after being here almost two weeks and listening to Fox News being blasted each morning during breakfast it was a bit overwhelming. Not all people who come to Baltimore are staunch republicans. It seems a bit insensitive to the rest of the visitors to be subjected to such vitriol especially in this uncomfortable and divisive time in our country. The morning breakfast each day was same ole same ole especially for a mainly plant based family. We had oatmeal without any liquid to unclump it. There was no non dairy options. Yes the little cups of "non dairy creamer" was a option but it still has milk in it. There is a huge switch going on now to get away from meat and dairy for health reasons and the places that offer an option are the ones that we will be utilizing and definitely returning to. We have another two weeks in Baltimore but the offensive Fox News on 24/7 in the lobby just got to be too much. Hoping Hilton will be a bit unbiased. read more

Tired, late at night, we spontaneously pulled off the road to stay at this Marriott property. We were not disappointed. It is a new facility. We were told they opened in April 2018. Beds were comfortable. Desk to work at. Fridge, coffee maker and microwave. 24 hour gym. Rooms are spacious, clean and decorated nicely. Stores/gas close by. We were really pleased. The staff was very nice as well. I definitely recommend this hotel. read more
