I would like to give a special shoutout to Rachel who provided impeccable service, helping load game cards, double checking our food order and making us feel welcome the entire time! I was greeted as soon as I stepped in by the front desk and bartender smiles shining under the florescent lights. I ordered the bay breeze and it was a good start. I had a Groupon that was easily redeemed. Lanes were cleaned, bowling balls were easily accessible. This is an overall a great time for parties, professionals or just a casual time like I did. Ordered a round of wings they were okay a bit bland with the garlic parm flavor seemed oily but had a decent crunch. Endless events for the kids and league tournaments just ask to sign up. Arcade area and a spot I would like to highlight the Photo Booth. With our group of 5 they have a back camera on the booth so we all fit perfectly. Bathroom rating: Main:1/5 full trash cans, trash on floor, soap dispenser broken Mom bathrooms w/ changing tables: 3/5 Both bathrooms smelled excuse my French pissy.

The skillet cookie put a huge smile on her face (smiles from teens are hard to come by) Tip- Reserve a lane after 6pm. Very disappointed in my experience here. The two stars are the pluses. One is for the shower it…read morewas really nice and the other star is for the bed which was a very comfortable mattress. Unfortunately it is not positioned for you to easily get to. We were bumping & hitting our shins stepping in & out of the bed. You literally have to climb over to get there. There is also no closet space the few hangers on the wall is it. Very small fridge that is stocked full of their products. If you are wanting to store your own items there is not much space for it. If you have a disability or health concern, be aware that there are steep steps to get into the building. Someone notified that there was a lift in back, but unfortunately to get to the lift you have to walk through several steep steps in the back patio , which didn't make it any easier access. Upon arrival we were given a notice of when our room would be attended to & cleaned, we made sure to be out during the day & time given only to return & the room had not been cleaned. The final & last straw came when a woman came to our room & told us for everyone else's comfort they were going to turn the air on since as I understood it one cooling & heating for everyone you cannot control the temperature of your room. Because of her turning the air on my husband got very sick , shivering & extremely uncomfortable & very physically ill. It was obvious our health, care , comfort & safety was not a priority. We actually left before our reservation was done & found better , safer accommodations. Maximum expense at minimum comfort, was our expierence here. It seemed to want to be a spa more than a guest accommodation & unfortunately didn't do either very well. You cost us valuable time with our family & loved ones . I'm sorry because I can see that this took time & effort to create, just don't sacrifice guests health & safety . Good neighbor wasn't a good neighbor to us. If you value your health, comfort & safety consider making accommodations elsewhere.

I can't say enough good things about good neighbor!…read more I was looking for a place to have an intimate book event for my friend Deborah Archer to celebrate the publication of Dividing Lines: How Transportation Infrastructure Reinforces Racial Inequality. And it was important that we not do it at the conference hotel but in a special, local business, doing good in the community. good neighbor fit the bill and more! The space is more beautiful than all the beautiful pictures you have seen of it and it smells like heaven in Earth. The soundtrack they played was a perfect chill vibe. The local wines were special and earthy. But even more importantly, Mary and the special events team were so responsive and easy to work with. They made the event seamless. It was like we were part of the good neighbor community even though we had just met. You will not regret having an event at good neighbor!

The wedding of a family member was held at this historic venue…read more Don't let the location deter you. The location is secure. They offer free valet parking. And the venue is all about Baltimore. It's on the site of one of the Carroll mansions and close to the flag house. Lots of history to consume. There is also lodging on site. And a courtyard for weddings right off S Front St. This is where the ceremony was held. The catering venue consists of four floors. Elevators are available for those needing it. The cocktail hour was held on the second floor under the City Lights. Dinner on the fourth. Wall murals all about Baltimore! Easy access via elevator or stairs. The food and beverage business at 1840's Plaza is exclusive to Rouge Catering of Hunt Valley. Exceptional team of professionals and food! Many shy away from evenings in town. Most of the time I can't blame them. But 1840's Plaza is well worth considering if you're planning a family or business event. Even if the fire alarm mysteriously goes off!

I attended a wedding at The Winslow. I was very impressed with the venue…read more The Winslow was easy to find and had a private parking lot right outside. The building itself is brick, like an old factory. Inside it has exposed brick and high ceilings that are also exposed. There were three areas distinct areas in the venue that were separated either by the layout or sliding doors. The first room we entered into had a bar on one wall and some small round tables up against the aforementioned sliding doors. This is where drinks were served as well as snacks (post ceremony). The second room, which was around a big corner (keeping it separated from the bar section) was where the wedding itself was held. This room was a essentially a large open area with big windows looking out into the city. It easily accommodated the 140+ wedding attendees and could've held more. Bonus points for being able to see the Ravens stadium right out the window. Not so bonus, the train tracks which had a train go through during the ceremony. The third room was where the reception was held. This was the room that was closed off by sliding doors when we arrived. There were two levels in here, the DJ was set up on the stairwell landing. The dancefloor was decently sized with tables situated around the outside of it and other tables on the upper level. For the venue being an old factory, I thought the acoustics were good. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at The Winslow as a guest.
