When exploring it was very difficult to navigate as there was little to no signage for the trails. We explored around back as the lodge was closed. All of the animals were relocated elsewhere, which I prefer personally seemed very small of an establishment to maintain any animal life. There is a short walk to the back field and there is an awesome 6-story treehouse that you can go in and climb around. We explored for a bit and went on our way. The regular day ends at 3:30 and "epic" day ends at 4:30. It would be so much more epic for parents if there was an extended day program until 5 or 5:30.

My wife and I were headed to the Ross Zoo but opted out at the last minute due to the rain. This place is not designed for a couple of senior citizens to walk around but since I was here I decided to take a look outside. The outside walk through was magnificent and I could see my three grandchildren (one girl, two boys) truly enjoying all the touch and explore exhibits. Sound, flowers even a small playhouse. This type of exhibt really forces the children to use their sensory abilities including their imagination. One obvious observation is the tremendous use of color here. The design will surely captivate the children KUDOs to the team of the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier.

I loved all the pretend play, from doctor's office, dentist office, the bank, the car shop, the vet, the grocery store, etc. Sure some stuff is pretty outdated/old, but at the same time there were some features we hadn't seen at other children's discovery museums, such as the flight simulator. We had a fun time and spent maybe 1.5 hours here.

I had a great time learning the strokes and good form. Then we went partly up Salmon Creek and saw lots of wildlife. I highly recommend Paddle-N-More for lessons or just rentals of kayaks (sit-in and sit-on) and stand-up paddleboards. They provide a high-quality life vest (PFD) as part of every rental, too.

Super friendly staff and there's a local community feel to the gym, which is a huge draw. Also, they have a ping pong table, and a stretching/fitness area upstairs with 2 power racks, a fan bike, and a Tension board (if you're looking to mix things up) There's free gravel parking, and plenty of space (unlike Collegetown...)

Drive me nuts that kids events don't start until like 10 so was so excited that Cayuga Clinbs Toddler Time is from 8:30 to 9:45 it's the perfect time for a kids activity. The space is great for letting kids runaround and try climbing. My daughter love finding the cow on top of one of the climbing wall every time we go. Sorry if no one else has found it since she doesn't let go of it easily once she finds it. It's reasonably priced $15 per toddler and you don't have to pay for the adults like you would a children's museum but you do have to watch your own kids. My twins get so excited to go, seriously one of the best events for toddlers in the area. Typically twice a month on Sundays but it does not have a consistent schedule so again get on the mailing list so you're informed when the next event will take place.
