Whilst shopping I get a text from my boyfriend asking me to look for a charger for his newly…read morepurchased 3DS. Luckily, I was only a few stores down from Game Stop so I popped in to see if they could help. This store is in major need of renovation. Products cover the walls and the majority of the floor space but the carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 50 years and the whole store had a really funky odor. After being greeted, I ask the employee if they have a 3DS wall adapter to which he promptly goes "a charger?". Yes, dude, lets not cut hairs here. He proceeds to explain the issues they've been having with Nintendo not including chargers with their products. I concur, ridiculous. Although the store is hella dingy both employees were very nice and the charger was only $10!

We recently stopped in while we were on a date since we love gaming and for a small shop in Ann Arbor, the selection was phenomenal. We were impressed and found a lot of games that we were interested in. Unfortunately, when you have little kids the gaming time can be a few and far in between especially when other adult adults are also busy. I'm so glad that we have this local gem so that when we are in a less busy season we can invest in some really fun stuff. They have lots of DND material. My kids really like the game Everdell and there were lots of expansions and supportive materials for the game. As you can expect, it's pretty pricey. I'm surprised there are still able to keep their doors open with places like Amazon. If you're looking for any kind of game or suggestion, I would suggest stopping in because everyone seems very knowledgeable. They have lots of comic books and trading card type games, party games, stuffed animals, and pretty much every kind of niche item a gamer could want. Even if you weren't a gamer, it's worth a trip downtown to check everything out. We will definitely be back.

I love the Starbucks is inside also . I love how Barnes & Noble has a kids program and that they can get a free treat at Starbucks. We also take part in the summer reading program where they get a free book if they read 10 books. I know the Barnes & Noble is going to have a really awesome selection and I love how they've been keeping a great stock of sprayed edge books , which are my friends favorite so it's my favorite to give her for holidays. I feel like they have their books group really well so that it is very easy to know where to go for what you need . Their game section is thoughtfully curated. I love to read the notes from employees about their favorite books. I know this is a chain, but sometimes when I'm having a bad day, I go in just because it feels like Home . I will say that their bathroom is pretty disgusting unfortunately. Most of the employees have been very kind and helpful, but there will be the occasional employee that huffs and puffs when you ask for help. Honestly, I just really love that I can go get two of my favorite things in the same building . I vow to never visit Ann Arbor without coming to this bookstore…read more It's not huge, but it has awesome sections like psychology, religion, spirituality, magic, healing, even nutrition. It approaches life from a holistic, metaphysical but still grounded approach. It also has some oils, candles, and cool decorations like ankhs and things you can hang in your home for protection, like the evil eye, and what not. Upstairs I think they have tarot readings or something along those lines, I've only been up there to use the restroom. They also have a small discount section, oh and a little bit of jewelry! At least some of it is handmade locally. I find the staff to be very kind too. Give it a try!

There is something for everyone in here The woman working the counter was so friendly and engaging. When I told her that we were just visiting she gave me some wonderful information about the store. She seemed to have a bit of positive pride and enthusiasm for the store that I real appreciate. Upstairs they have created a space for artists to showcase their work. Highly recommended.
