I also explained there was a part missing when I opened the item. Owner tells me I am have to come back on Monday when the buyer is there. Mental giant at the counter says " People return items and keep parts all the time." If I wanted to do that why would I tell them that there was a part missing when I could have just returned it without letting them know? Lady looks at me and says "Whatever". They would not refund. Gave store credit. Buyer Beware of being honest with them about a purchase as they do not want to do the right thing apparently.

The first day we didn't buy anything, but today I found a cute hat that I HAD to have and we were planning on buying many more items as well, however, as I was walking past the counter to the back of the store, the above mentioned woman came out from behind the counter and asked if I wanted to buy the hat, to which I replied yes, she then asked if I was finished shopping, and I said not yet and tried to walk past her, but she stopped me and grabbed the hat, ripping it out of my hand!! She she needed to hold it behind the counter. She made me feel like she suspected I might steal the hat!! I was mortified and horribly offended!! And all this over a $50 baseball cap!! I have never been treated so rudely or unprofessionally at a place of business. We also visited Hermes today and I walked around the store holding six items that we ended up purchasing, PLUS a purse, and we were treated with courtesy, kindness and professionalism and believe it or not, not one employee tried to rip anything out of my hands. ‍ Needless to say, I will NEVER step foot in Pitkin County Dry Goods again. Considering multiple reviews with similar experiences, I would suggest to others not to visit this shop either...well at least not until that woman is no longer working there.

Thank god I was stopped by a few pieces in the window and called my significant other to come back. We entered and were greeted by a very attentive and polite staff . I have run my own boutique and have done my own buying for the shop- Not to mention over 35 years of retail management and I just love the industry... so Customer Service is my #1 (greeting & acknowledgment), #2 the clothing and choices, #3 the follow up and service... OK and visual matters to me a lot as well. So all around this shop encompassed all of the things that I love to be in a store. They even got me i to the fitting room even though I hate trying clothes on and I always know what I want without trying on. They were not pushy, but also continued to show me things that I would not have seen. We spent a good penny, and would definitely be back !! I am so glad we turned around and did not keep going. The windows is what pulled me in! I do recommend Bandana and not to mention the paper was red bandanna! I hope the owner realizes what kind of employee she has hired.
